Royalton High School follows a 7 period day schedule, 50 minutes class periods, typically 5 days a week beginning at 8:15am and ending at 3:22pm. A regularly scheduled day consists of seven four minute passing periods and a 15 minute homeroom at the end of the day. Homeroom is not considered as a scheduled class, and even though it is not required, it is still beneficial to many students. The sole purpose of homeroom is to inform students of extracurricular activities, scholarships and college visits, the announcements, and reduce class absences.
I believe that Polk County Early College High School would be a great school for me because of smaller class sizes and more one on one opportunity with teachers. I feel that I thrive in that kind of setting because you can feel free to ask for help if needed, and it will be provided much more easily than in a larger class room. I also love the opportunity that the school provides to be able to earn college credits while attending high school. I am a very self motivated person and being able to complete work at my own pace would be significant. If I am working at my own pace I will be given the chance to work ahead and cover more material which is great. I think Polk County Early College would be the perfect school for me because I would be
Throughout our lives, we will endure plenty of mistakes and take ownership of situations we did not mean to create. When asking the question ‘If you were to get one do-over in life, what would it be and why?’, my answer would be to attend an early college high school.
Early College High School at Delaware State University is a place to save time and money, and earn up to at least 60 college credits in high school. Although this school is very helpful there is a downfall, that downfall is that they are unorganized. The apples is for when I was 5, and I started kindergarten at John Clarke Elementary School in the small town of Rockville, MN. I did not attend pre-school, so this was the first experience that I had will the school system. I was very excited and nervous to attend school, I loved being the only kid at home/daycare all day while all of my older siblings were in school. By this time, I had also grown a bit more shy, I was nervous about not having or being able to make friends, being as we lived in the country, and I wouldn’t really know anyone, where all the other kids all lived in the same neighborhoods, and attended preschool together already. Lucky for me kindergarten was only a half day long, and it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be to make

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to receive an extra hour of sleep each morning, to swap school start times with your younger sibling? It would be nice to gain an extra hour of rest, but late start school is an unnecessary luxury. We do not need to start school later and it would be difficult to change our system that currently functions perfectly. Starting school later will cause complications in our schedules, for buses, and for after school activities.

Before I started school I went to daycare instead of pre-k. There were three teachers that I can remember and they were Miss Amanda, Miss Jessie, and Mrs. Teresa. Out of all of them Miss Amanda was defiantly my favorite Before I started school I would go to daycare four days a week and Friday I would stay at home with my dad because back then he had Fridays off. We went to daycare because we do not live near any of our families. I liked spending the days at daycare and also at home with my dad. When I was a kid I was pretty shy and reserved kind of like I am now also. When I was little my hair was very short and extremely blonde. My food favorite food when I was little was meat. Any kind everything from chicken to steak. One memory I have of being in daycare was when one day I pulled a
