“When the U.S. Navy sends their elite, they send the SEALs. When the SEALs send their elite, they send SEAL Team Six” (Wasdin 3). A question that frequently comes up in everyone’s mind is how it would feel to be an elite sniper in the SEAL Team Six. The author of I am a Seal Team Six Warrior named Howard E. Wasdin was and elite sniper in the SEAL Team Six. He had written the book explaining his life and narrating his stories about his experience. The book also had perspectives and stories from Stephen Templin as well who was with him along the incredible journey. The book had talked about Wasdin’s personal life, his hardships to achieve his goal and what he had experienced during his career as a sniper with the SEALs.

They became the United States Navy most premiere and elite counter terrorist group. Their responsibilities included worldwide maritime, security assessments, and advice to prevent casualties during hostage situations. Seal Team Six consisted of the most elite of the elite. Team Six was mission ready in six months because of unlimited amounts of resources and training. Some of the earliest World War II predecessors of the SEALs were the Operational Swimmers of the OSS. Many current SEAL missions were first assigned to them. The killing of Bin Laden was one of the biggest examples of how a good Military task force like Navy seals has become. Arkin and Priest (2001) give us an idea how the Joint Special Operations team has been improving over the years and how they carry out top secret missions. When you have a good Military task force then their a higher chance to save hostages lives and we been seeing a trend in where government send out their best units to save those hostage. They can come out saving the hostage or not, but the main idea of Special Military Task force is to do the best to save them. How can lawmakers maintain a balanced approach while collecting intelligence on United States persons in order to prevent a national security crime and provide full consideration to the rights of said persons? Does the current legislation permit U.S. Army Counterintelligence Special Agents to conduct investigations to the fullest extent or does it hamper their ability to properly investigate? To answer this gap, the Office of Special Warfare (OSW) was developed to be the focal point for USASOC’s UW capability. With this change, each 4th Battalion across the regiment was redesigned to build a build a full spectrum UW capability in support of the Theatre Special Operations Command (TSOC) and Joint Force Commanders. This theory would soon be diminished because many of the newly selected Jedburghs, riding on the success of Jedburghs some seventy-two years ago, would be thrown straight into complex environment without the needed education and training. Seal Team Six is full with guys with one thing in mind. They train for months and months to train for the upcoming task. Seal Team Six, used perseverance, passion and effort to overcome obstacles. To begin with, Seal Team Six used perseverance to overcome adversity. Firstly, Seal Team Six had lots of perseverance when they took their flight over to Afghanistan. The U.S. Marine Corps’ is thought to be one of the five free standing military departments, but in all actuality there is only three departments. The U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and the U.S. Navy are the only branches of the military that are correctly recognized as their own departments. There are two other Branches of the military that are under the U.S. Navy, one is the United States Marine Corps’. They were created to protect, but now they need protecting from budget cuts and disbanding. In order to protect the Corps’, they need to become their own U.S. Department, with their own funding and supplies.

The United States 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta, or Delta Force for short, is considered one of, if not the best, elite Special Forces units in the world. Its highly classified missions, state of the art combat equipment, members from the highest echelon special operations teams in the United States, and agonizing training regime, etcetera, has put this unit on the top. "The only easy day... was yesterday..." The Navy Seals was founded in May of 1961 during the Vietnam war. Navy seals have many teams across the entire globe, and the most popular is seal Team Six (Jason Graham and Stephen Baron). There are some occupational things you learn becoming a seal and being one. These Occupational Skills include: Climb, Conceal, Demolitions, Hide, First Aid, Handgun, Martial Arts, Navigate, Other Language, Parachuting, Photography, Pilot: Boat, Rifle, Sneak, Spot Hidden, Submachine Gun (Jason Graham and Stephen Baron). Some Survival things SEALs pick up include: Desert, Woodland, Cold Weather, Swim, Tactics, Throw, Track (Jason Graham and Stephen Baron). Plus one of the following as personal specialty: Electronics, Machine Gun, Medicine, Heavy Weapons (Jason Graham and Stephen Baron). Seals is a acronym for Sea, Air, and Land (United States Navy Seals). They also partner with the U.S Government agencies such as the CIA and the NSA (United States Navy Seals). The US Navy Seals are mostly used during the Vietnam war for demolishing and disarming bombs so that water rafts were able to get through (United States Navy Seals). Navy Seals go through the most gruesome training exercises, go in the most daring and classified missions, and use the most up to date weaponry.

Most Seal missions are unreported and unknown to the general public. The Seals are trained to operate in small units, one or two men, or a platoon consisting of sixteen or more men. Not all Seal teams are made for everyone, in fact 80% of the men who attempt to become one, fail or will drop out. To become a Seal you must have dedication, hardwork, and a lot of commitment.

I was born and raised in the greater Washington D.C. metropolitan area. I come from a middle-class family and have two brothers and one sister. Growing up, my parents made great personal and financial sacrifices and took on expensive loans for my high school education. For this I am forever indebted and extremely grateful. I truly believe the importance placed on my education along with the quality of schooling has greatly shaped the person I am today.

I have served as a Special Forces soldier for almost 8 years now, as a Communications Sergeant and Intelligence Sergeant. During my time in the regiment, I have conducted three combat deployments and multiple Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) events throughout the Pacific Command (PACOM) area of responsibility. These experiences, along with the schools I have attended during my Special Forces career, have given me a wide understanding of the full spectrum of Special Operations.
