For those you who do not know me, I am Carissa Dorval and I am running for the position of Executive Board Treasurer. There are many reasons why I would make a great addition to the Student Council team. Over the past three years I have held many roles that needed me to posses leadership skills such as, Sophomore Class Treasurer, and being a member of Spirit Committee. Being Sophomore Class Treasurer, and a member of the Spirit Committee has given me the skills I would need succeed as a member of the Executive Board. My role as Class Treasurer last year has given me experience planning all of the activities that student council has authority over such has Toys-for-Tots and Field Day and my involvement in Spirit Committee has given me experience
I would like to be considered for the position of treasurer because last year I enjoyed being a part of Beta Club immensely and I believe I would excel in the position. I have excellent math skills and experience in handling money. My mother was a bank manager and taught me various skills like how to balance a checking account, save money, and invest in the stock market. I am organized and extremely trustworthy. These qualities would help me in the position of treasurer.
I am going for the position of either commissioner of community service, sports, or clubs. I have been in ASB for a year and it has been a memorable and great experience in which I have learned so much and continue to do so. During that time, I was and still am commissioner of community service and it still continues to be my main selection. I am qualified because I am committed and have worked very hard to make sure I continue doing my job properly meanwhile still doing my job as an ASB member in anything that we may be working on at the moment. I always update my Community Service bulletin board in the Higher Ed. Center as often as I can and when the dates pass. There is always community service opportunities that I have looked for myself
Throughout my school years, I have always tried to be a positive role model for younger students as well as my peers. This year I decided that the best way to serve my school was to participate in our school’s Student Leadership Council. It has proven to be a fantastic decision for me. I succeeded in getting the most votes out of all of the candidates and have had a great experience taking a leadership role in my school. I feel like I have become a much better leader and role model because of Student Leadership Council. I have been really fortunate to be exposed to the Jeter’s Leaders program, since they come to our school to mentor us as SLC members. It has been an incredible experience, and I would really love to continue with it. As an eighth grader at Saint Augustine, we are required to mentor our younger students. I
I am fit for the role of ASB Treasurer because this job requires reliability, attention to detail, and experience, that I believe I will provide. I am currently the 2019 class treasurer and it is only a logical step forward to take on the challenge of being ASB Treasurer. In this last year, I’ve organized two fundraisers, both of which were successful and financially managed by me. I believe in this coming year, I will not only be able to manage the budgeting for my class, but capable of managing it for all four classes. I will be a benefit to the members elected onto the board and to Lawndale
The personal reason of why I am running for this position is to grow as a person through collaboration with others because I think it is important to learn from peers. Instead of always calling out my thoughts right away, I normally enjoy listening to everyone’s opinions before forming my own. I think that this is a crucial point to the success of the class because the beauty of working together lies in combining everyone’s unique spin and personality, which results in a final product that we may not have been able to come up with on our own. Although sometimes the class differs in opinion, I think my listening skills would help resolve this problem since I tend to try and see both sides of the argument. Outside of ASB I have put my leadership abilities to work as the
I am applying to be the vice president of the choir program. I'm running for this office because I have been involved in choir since I was in middle school, and I want to step up and be more a part of how the organization is run, helping make this program better, and making choir more enjoyable for everyone in it. Although I've never been in a leadership position before, I feel like I would do well in this position because of my passion for choir and performing.
I am intimately familiar with the workings of the club, as I have been involved in a leadership role from nearly the first day. While the rest of my fellow officers are seniors and will graduate this June, I hope to carry on in a leadership role and ensure the club we have worked so hard to establish will continue to flourish. Through my experiences this year, I know specifically which aspects of the club are running smoothly and which need more work; I know which of our efforts were successful, and which missed the mark. I hope to bring my knowledge to the NHS leadership team in my senior year so that the State High chapter will have a bright and stable future. Furthermore, I possess the qualities necessary to be a strong leader. In addition to my organizational abilities, I can communicate effectively and appropriately with both my peers and my teachers. I am dedicated to my work, and independently motivated to achieve success. I am an excellent team player, having had significant practice this year both leading a team as an officer and working within a team and delegating tasks as head of the Bunny Hop 5k advertising committee. Given the opportunity, I would enthusiastically utilize and continue to develop all of these skills as president of the State High
Good morning class of 2019. I am Tori Cichelero, and I am running for Freshman Class President. As a president, my job would be to stabilize each and every single one of us, because we are new to the community of Ursuline Academy. I will make sure we are all involved, so we all get to be connected into the school. In order to be involved, we all have to take risk and try new things. Trying new things can be scary, but it can be so much better when you have a leader to guide you. My guidance can make us freshman the best possible class by using our intelligence, hard-work, responsibility, and kindness. When I think of Ursuline Academy, I think of how great our class is. Each classmate in front of me right now means so much to me. Your grades,
I want to hold the position for Miss Freshman because I know that I’d be a great representative. Everyone is equal so I cannot say that I will be better than anyone, but I can certainly say that I will do my best. I am capable of taking on the challenges that lie ahead if I am voted for this position. I know if I were Miss Freshman of the class of 2020 I could make a couple of major changes in the students. I am a good leader, I’m very dependable, and I know how to set good examples. I am also a very reliable person and any task that I receive will be one of my main priorities. I am an approachable person and an awesome communicator and listener. My best effort will absolutely be put into this job. I am a very well organized and neat person. I am also an assertive person and I am without a doubt going to
Being president of the Sophomore Class would be a wonderful opportunity to exercise my strengths and abilities. I think, with my strengths, I would be a great candidate for Class President. I am very interactive and open to new ideas of my classmates, especially when it can better our grade and our future as students. I show outstanding leadership that encourages others to further engage in their positions and responsibilities. To me, I think that it’s important to function as a unit rather than having unbalanced strengths. I would encourage others to be their own leader and make sure they fully indulge in their positions. I accept all responsibilities that come with the position including attendance to the meetings and to school, having good
So you may be wondering why you should vote for me. Well, you should vote for me because I'm in NJHS, responsible as well as organized. I keep my grades up and I'm always trying to help somebody. I'm proud of EAGLE, it's my home and take this schools reputation seriously. I want to be a voice for this classroom as everyone's opinion matters. I feel I'm approachable and open to everybody's ideas. Vote for me and let me represent all your ideas.
Initially, I would like to list all of the qualities I shall bring to the Student Council. I am very respectful of my peers and teachers. I have numerous academic accomplishments which I believe a president must not only be a good role model for the rest of the student body but also lead in academics as well. In addition to my academic skills I developed leadership skills that I have obtained from Beta and 4-H. In these clubs I have learned how to communicate and work in groups I am very flexible at taking on any task and conforming to each and every job when it is needed of me.
My personal reasons for seeking office are to give back to the community and influence other by my actions to show the key to happiness. In 2012, when I was an 8th grader, I had to go through severe financial struggles and had to be separated from my family across the world. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with depression. There were times where I thought there was no purpose in life. However, the only time I found true happiness and joy was when I was helping someone and/or making a positive change in my community. Fortunately, I am no longer suffering from depression because of Key Club. It truly helped me find a purpose in life. I want to give all I have and all I can to make a difference in someone’s life. That is why I want to run for CNH
First and foremost, thank you for being here in support of the student government association. I want to thank our amazing dean Edina for encouraging me to run for vice president of SGA. Many people have asked me why I am running for vice president. Would you ask a fifth grader if he is going to go to the 6th grade? No right because they have to keep going to the next level. Ever since I came to the University of Bridgeport, I constantly looked for ways to become more involved and to keep having an impact in the university. Every year, here at the University of Bridgeport I am involved in something new. Whether it's being an OL, President of a Club or even starting a chapter/club which is known as the food recovery network, with the help of my peers. The food recovery network have recovered more than 300 pounds of food that would otherwise have been thrown out.
I am hard working, ambitious and creative. Many who know me say that I am super organized, very social and good at noticing details. I love to work with others as I see it as an opportunity to learn and to gain a new friend. I have acquired many leadership experiences from Key Club, STEM, Swim managing, band leadership, etc. Each of these experiences has taught me something different. For example, being the Boy’s Swim Team manager I learned how to work with a group of 70 teenage boys. Also, with all the extracurricular activities that I do, I am superb at managing my time. What I can contribute to Youth Council is all the knowledge that I have gained over the years through all the activities I do and fresh, new ideas.
