Socials and Greasers are both horrible groups that get into fights with each other frequently, however, the Socs are more terrible. The Socials are the rich children and are to a greater extent a disrespect and danger to the general public than the Greasers. They lived on the West Side and they were constantly getting smashed and hoping to battle the with Greasers. The Greasers were poorer than the socials or the Middle Class. At the point when a soc or Middle-Class individual saw a greaser, they immediately thought dirty troublemaker. Continuously felt that the Socs had it better than them. Yet the Socials are all the more a disgrace and danger to the society than the Greasers. They violate the law and participate in gang fights for excitement …show more content…

The socials get involved in many of fights and do illegal activities because they are bored. Socs start with the greasers when something happens or just for fun. For instance, when Ponyboy, Cherry Marcia and Two-Bit were walking together after the movies, Randy and Bob pulled up in a blue mustang and they were about to get into a fight with Ponyboy and Two-Bit, but then Cherry stopped the fight because she doesn't like fights. It proves that the Socs like to get involved in fights for no reason. Once the all the socs ganged up on Johnny and beat him up really badly, ever since Johnny had become a coward, he was intimidated by the Socs. The Socs just do things for entertainment. The Greasers way of life was much different than them. They loved to hang out in gangs, but their kinds of gangs were a group of friends. Their gangs were like their families. The Greasers gangs were always there for them and cared about each other, they always had each other’s backs. For example, when Johnny killed Bob Dally helped Johnny and Ponyboy, he told them to go to a church and hide there so no one will find them. The only reason Dally helped was that he cared about them. He didn’t want them to go to jail or get involved with the police because of what he has experienced before. The Socs are richer than the greasers, they are born and raised into a richer family, they get anything they want whenever they ask for it because they can afford it. In particular, the Socs have nice cars like blue mustangs, houses on the west side and clothes they wear expensive clothes like a wine coloured sweater, checked shirts and tan-coloured jackets that their parents
