I recall we lost one scrimmage but ended up beating that same team the next day in the tournament. We went to the final and we were so proud.I don't remember the score exactly but i think it was 3-2.They score their first two goals in the beginning of the first half,as we only scored 1 .W e not to happy about the score . Half time approached and the refs blew there whistle and we all go our drinks and took some time to breath after running for like 45 minutes. He give us a speech every game. Before, during, and after is when he tells us.We really got so motivated during the middle of the final.
He said”Act like the game is 3-0.Act like you're playing to score the first goal and to take the lead .Act like you want to win.”
This really made everyone have a impact in the game. Then the refs blew there whistle and the player lined up on the field .Then i thought of what my mom told me before the season started .
“Do you want me to sign you up for

I quickly lose the ball by a horde of people.I still following the ball. The kid tries to bike it over our defence by as he kicks it up i take it and pass it down to the midfield .The midfield passing it around to the defence then we find gap, take space, take it down the side, and then cross it and hope to get a nice trap and a shot or just a shot in general. We scored from doing this 3 times in 10 minutes. We ended up get trash talk from the other team.We just messed around and passed the rest of the game and tried to get some people who haven't scored yet.We won and it was my first year ever winning i was so proud.we walked over to get our team picture and our trophies.I left with a huge smile on my
In 2017, I started to play soccer. This year, i signed up for soccer. I am on Tristin’s team. Our first game is September 30. We are gonna start having practice every Tuesday and Thursday. I am not that good at soccer because this is my first year playing. Everybody is better than me because they have all been playing for atleast 5
On one fall morning, my mom and I arrived at the Hulmeville Soccer Tournament. There were so many teams that had great potential to win. My teammates and I Were excited to play theses teams and push our skills to the limit. Our soccer team won all five games that we played. Therefore we made it to the championship angist Hulmeville, one of the best teams in the tournament. The game started and there were no goals scored. Since it was the finals, we went
The third game, that was previously postponed, was a tie at 8-8 with a team from Bucks County. Then it was a waiting game to see who and when we would play. We ended up playing a team called Big Sky and won that game. Then right after that we played York A team for the gold medal; which no keystone west team had ever won. The game was a long one if you were playing even though the game was only 40 minutes it felt like 2 hours. The game was 6-2 at the half and the keystone West team were winning. With under 1 minute left in the game the score was West 12 a York A had 8. York ran the ball down the field and then throw it out of bounds with under 30 seconds. West got the send it call and that is what they did and ended that throw with a goal. That ended the game and all but one of the West team ran to their goalie but I did not. I was in so much shock from how I went from one position to another in under a year and was one of the best in Western PA and how much we practice we had to let this moment happen. I am now and was and will always be proud of what happened with this
Finally, the day of our first game had arrived. All of us had butterflies in our stomachs. It was the type of feeling you get when you know you are well prepared for something, but you inexplicably still feel nervous. As soon as the ball was kicked first, all of the anxious feelings I had melted away and the game became quite fun. Just as the prior years, the first game had the easiest opponent to beat and my team and I had no problem securing a victory against them. The second game was a bit more of a challenge, but defeating that team was nothing we were not prepared for. The true challenge came in the third and championship game. Although we enjoyed a bye game due to our two previous victories, the other team had the advantage of some truly God-gifted athletes. In particular, number seven was a beast of a thirteen-year-old. He stood at an impressive six feet tall and he towered over us on every snap. During the first drive, we had marched the ball down the field slowly but surely and on the four-yard line we fumbled. Of course, number seven picked up the ball and ran it back for a touchdown. At halftime, our coach sat us down and had a long talk with us. Even though we were discouraged by their touchdown, we picked ourselves up and started scoring. We scored two rushing touchdowns in the third quarter and one more in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Not only did we come back from a losing
As we scored the winning goal I was in shock and disbelief that we had one. This was one of my greatest moments I have ever experienced in my life and still remember it to this day. When I look back on this game now it has just made want to work harder in hopes of winning another State Championship in high school and receiving a scholarship for college
It was our first game in Disney coach gave us his usual pep talk," I have five soccer rules run hard.play hard, shoot hard, obey the refs, and have fun," but this time it was different it didn't seem as if coach actually meant it ,he was staring at the other team the whole warm up time. I think he was nervous that we were going to lose this game which made me doughtfull of the whole team. I was pepping my team up while I heard coach check out of the hotel room on his phone because if we lost we would go home. I took the field all the parents were going wild on the sidelines except for one my dad he said," I don't need to cheer you on, champions know how to cheer there selves on." I took my position and then the whistle blew every time that whistle
The day the team got together and fought threw a tough battle facing pinnacle high school. It was our second home game and our record was 1-2. After all of the hard work we had put in over summer, we realized we could not lose, especially in front of our home crowd. At the beginning of the game we did our usual warm-ups, I have never felt so much adrenaline pushing threw my veins in my life. After the warm-ups the whole team got in a big huddle, we chanted a chant that will never be forgotten and one day make history for the pride. After the chant we got ready for kick-off, lined up and ready to go. The crowd started cheering at the first 2 seconds of the game “go pride go, go pride go”. This made the whole team nervous, not just because there was so many
“Fine you can do whatever silly things that you want to do, and I’ll guarantee that you’ll regret it sooner or later, but first let me show you this soccer video.”
It only took us twenty minutes to be up 2-0 against a team, our main rivals Clements, we had not beaten them for twenty years and who were also former state champions. It was the best feeling ever, seeing the confusion in their faces from being down to us. All the work we had put in that year was finally translated into the field, where it truly matters. Toe to toe with a team they said we had no chance against, I beg to differ. All was going well, until early in the second half they had scored a goal. I could sense the timorous feeling beginning to rise within my teammates, but I never doubted them and knew we still had a
U-15 team camp will continue to play a major role in my life. I expected team camp to be a magical time, therefore, I would build new friendships and learn valuable skills to help my soccer career excel. However, it was a challenge to change my teammate's minds with a gorgeous goal. The soccer field was covered in dew, due to the mid-August humidity. As I sat down to stretch, I realized everyone was staring at me. I thought the glares were because I was new to the team. However, I neglected to realize what they truly meant. No one believed was deserving to play for such an elite team, as I was only an eighth grader and they were all about to start their journey to high school. This made my stomach turn and I began to go haywire. I knew they
I was ready — even the freezing rain could not stop me nor smother my excitement. My eyes were set on the ball, and I concentrated on what was happening on the soccer field. As I was thinking one play ahead and looking for the possible passes from my teammates, the next thing I remembered was that I tripped over myself without even having the ball. I had no time to laugh at myself, but I got up the next second, laid my eyes back on the ball, and ran my tail off to receive the pass. I promised that I’ve only done that once in the season — tripping without a ball, but it was definitely a highlight in my soccer career that added some funny elements to a road of hard work, learning, and determination. Every practice, I’d drill in the basic skills
When I arrived at the first practice I realized that I didn’t know anybody on my team. The first week I was there all they would say to me was “Can you play soccer?” and “How good are you at
It was the last practice of the year and we had the biggest game of the year the next day. “ Wrap him up! Drive your feet! Catch the ball!” yelled the coaches every minute. We were having a great year so far with our record at 6-1-1. This practice I was working extra hard because I was starting on both sides of the ball. I hadn’t played most of the year because the first week of practice, I got injured and was out for a week and a half. I had been trying my hardest in games and at practice, but I still had little playing time. Then a few practices before we played Carroll County the coach said he wants me to start at fullback instead of being the backup running back. I was really surprised, but he said that he had been watching my blocking and I already knew the plays so I would be fine. I got my other big opportunity when our quarterback got injured and I got to start on defense as well.
Are team made it to the finals. We worked so hard throughout the season and it all came down to this one game. The ref did our gear check to make sure no one was cheating. The ref asked us for a game ball and we gave one to him. We took the field and it was time to play. The ref took the game ball and put it down. He blew the whistle and we all knew this was the biggest game of our lives.
The school bus finally arrived at Desert Mirage High School where my team and I got off and prepared for our soccer game. The sky was somewhat cloudy, so it must have rained before we got there because as soon as I stepped on to the field, I could smell the fresh grass and the wet dirt. We started off with our usual warm ups which was a lap around the field, followed with a variety of stretches, foot skills, and a shooting drills. After we were all finished our coach gathered us up to decide what the setup was going to be. I was not part of the group in the first half that played; however, we couldn’t have started any better. The first half of the game is forty-five minutes and by the twentieth minute the score was three to zero. As the first half came to an end I was excited and filled with joy because we had the lead. Our coach decided to switch the placement of people and ended placing me into the second play. When I stepped onto the field I felt a rush of excitement, yet a hand full of nerves. My teammate Denise and I were set as forwards with her on the right side and me on the left side. We started off with the ball in the middle, and as soon as the referee blew the whistle Denise sprinted to the right side of the field and I kicked the ball hard enough for it to reach her. Denise was struggling between two defenders of the other team when our midfielder, Anial, ran to help her. In that moment, Denise pushed the ball forward for Anial to take it and move towards the
