Scott was super judgemental to people he didn’t even know, or talk to. He didn’t want to be friends with Wesley because he took people's lunch money. Scott considered him to be a “bully”. Scott stood up to Wesley about bullying. He saw that after he stopped taking people’s money he wasn’t a bad person. Scott didn’t like Mouth because he talked way too much. He judged Lee on the way she looks, and the things she wears. Then he realized she is a really nice person once you get to know her. “I tried not to let her catch me staring. But I couldn’t help myself. I mean, safety pins? There were some kids in school who looked kind of like that, but nobody anywhere near as extreme” (Lubar 93). At the end of the book Scott realizes all of these people are great people once you get to know them. Scott changed the most in Sleeping Freshman Never Lie because he let go of
It was the first month of my high school years, I was as nervous as an incoming freshman could be. I had no idea how long and strenuous my years at Bensalem High School would feel. As many others, I had a hard time adjusting to the transition from middle school to high school. Unlike others, though, I struggled about twenty

High school. A time to make more friends and prepare for college and your future beyond that. Mouth changed the most in Sleeping Freshman Never Lie because at the beginning of the book he was such a full spirited kid, then at the end of the book he tried to kill himself, and also because throughout the book Mouth started to change because he realized he was dropping more friends than he had initially.
To begin, the story takes place in a high-school setting. High school students, going through many adolescent changes,
Where is Mother right now. and Tzipora. ‘Mother is still a young woman’ my father once said. ‘She too must be in a camp.’ How we would have liked to believe that.
For some people high school is a breeze, but for some it’s not. Sleeping Freshman Never Lie is a book about a boy named Scott and his first year of high school. His brother Bobby was never a good kid in school, so he didn’t have any advice to help him. He had no clue what to expect when walking into school the first day. Scott joined a lot of the school clubs including Student Council, the School Paper, and the Stage Crew. He had his two best friends with him all of the time until they started to go their own ways. When they went their separate ways he made different friends. He met Wesley and Lee, but these were people he would’ve never been friends with before. Lee was known to be really weird, and Wesley was scary to Scott. For someone who didn’t know what to expect about high school, he did a pretty good job handling everything. Bobby changed the most in Sleeping Freshman Never Lie because he went from acting tough to opening up about his personal problems, and he went from making bad decisions to switching his life around.
They believe this because of Scott Hudson’s personality at the starting of the book was that he was almost anxious and panicked to start high school. But towards the end he knew exactly what he was doing and he made friends that he would have not usually make friends with. Also they might have thought that Scott changed the most because his choice in who he wanted to dance with changed from Julia to Lee. Even though he still liked Julia he went to the dance with Lee. He had the choice to go with Julia because she ended up liking Scott, but he still decided to go to the dance with Lee. However, they are wrong because Scott Hudson never really changed that much. The only thing that changed about Scott was who he had a crush on and whether he was anxious about high school or not. In addition, Scott had major personality changes. Therefore, Mouth has changed the most in Sleeping Freshmen Never
In high school people go through some changes, they start going to school getting some education but later stop caring about school and then dropout. In the novel , Holden was able to look past the masks people wear on a daily basis and thought of them as phony people, especially the school officials that he’s dealt with. In one scene of the novel, Ossenberg is introduced as previous student that went to Holden's school, Pencey Prep, and had a dorm named after him. Holden’s opinion is easily shown when he says, “I can just see the big phony bastard shifting into first gear and asking Jesus to send him a few more stiffs”(17). In this quote, it is clear that Ossenberg is seen as a joke and a bit of a hypocrite. In this scene, Ossenberg talks about how people should pray to God whenever they are in some type of trouble and that he himself does this as well. Holden finds this very phony because Ossenberg is very wealthy and drives a big Cadillac so it would seem unusual for someone like him to be in any type of trouble. In this novel, it was clear that Holden had very high standards towards adults and greatly criticized them if they didn't live up to those expectations. Holden most likely didn't do well in school due to the adult school officials he had to deal with. Another example that shows how felt about a school official was Mr. Haas. Holden describes this character with his most honest opinions and disapproved his actions. Mr. Haas was described going around shaking the hands of parents but if the parents were corny looking then he wouldn't spend too much
Chivalry is not dead. While we’ve heard this saying sarcastically repeated throughout the 21st century, Raymond Chandler’s novel The Big Sleep seeks to preserve chivalrous virtues in a declining moral society. Marlowe’s character flaws are presented throughout the novel through his moral code. Chandler’s portrays Detective Philip Marlowe as a knight, who appears to have a stricter moral code than the rest of society.
Everything goes straight to hell in senior week. Jin is an international student from China. Quite surprisingly, he became close friends with the two students, Evan and Maxwell, the former controls the major drugs supply on Wesleyan campus and the latter is one of his distributors. In the beginning of senior week, everything seems to be great. Jin’s parents are flying all the way from China to attend the commencement. Jin and his housemates, Maxwell, Phoebe, and Alice, are having the best time they have ever had with friends, throwing different parties every day.
I’m sure many have shared stories of their high school experiences and can relate when I say those four years have taught me many lessons. During this time, I’d come face to face with the fraudulent friendships, temporary romances, and other high school dramas that my parents once warned me about—those of which I simply brushed off as myths. It wasn’t the 90’s anymore— times have changed and people are different—or at least, that’s what I thought.
As we go on in life we face many challenges and new situations that we deal with. A new situation that most people deal with is college and all the changes that come along with it. What many people don't realize is that high school, in many ways, is similar and differrent from college. Not only are people changing but the surroundings and work change as well. There are some things that seem to never change such as some work and people.
