Charles Manson is one of the sickest cult murderer in the United States. He was often known to rebel since he was younger, as said by Paul Watkins. By the age of thirty-two he had been in and out of reformatories and jails plenty of times. It started off as burglaries for him to pay for a place to stay, then it started advancing according to Susan Atkins. When he went to the juvenile detention center he escaped after just one day. This was only the start of his adventures.
He was later recaptured and sent to another place, which he escaped five days after his arrival. This was done with a partner in crime whom he had committed many burglaries with. This got him caught once again and started the chain of even more burglaries and escaping says Vincent Bugliosi. He never had anyone to actually care for him so it didn’t affect many people. Although, he knew his way around town and knew a couple people to get favors from. This sense of superiority over his followers allowed Manson to manipulate them as he saw fit and continuously fueled his delusions of grandeur. During the summer of 1969, it is documented that there was a total of twenty-four dead bodies throughout three different murder scenes. While in prison, Charles Manson was known as a model inmate and he even got released against his wishes because he felt he could not adjust to the world.
