One reason that kids should be able to bring phones to class and use them in case of an emergency happens or a school shooter pops up out of nowhere. Well what I and many others are trying to say is that if you want to be safe or in case you have a medical problem and you need to call you doctor you will need to have your phone on you . Sometimes when you go on a field trip and you need to have it because you parent/guardian wants you too.
Students should not be able to have there phone in school. It has caused many issues and is a big distraction.Kids can't be kids in this generation without their phones.Everything evolves around it and it takes away from interacting with people personally, connecting with others and it also takes less focus on learning. It most definitely shouldn't take away your learning and experiences in a classroom.
But the administrators should really put some time into fixing that problem. Teachers are allowed to have their out of course, because their adults and students should really respect that. So all around, some schools do have allow students to have their cell phones out in middle school, maybe not a lot but they do. Staffs should really allow to lets students to have cell phones out and not just in high school. Reasons why students should have their phones is mostly emergencies. When you're parents need to get a hold of you and try to call the school and the phone lines are
I believe that students should not have phones in middle school. I believe this because there are a lot of disadvantages of having a phone in middle school. Some of the disadvantages are distractions, fear of losing the device and being less social.
Another reason why phones should not be allowed at school is cheating. Cheating happens rarely on cell phones. Cell phones allow student's to look up anything on Google. Google gives student's an enormous amount of information about an answer or topic that they looked up. Not only is looking up answers on on Google a way of cheating, but taking pictures of the answers is a way of cheating. Phones also get you in trouble with cheating because if you get
Are you always on your phone? Either Snapchatting, on Instagram, scrolling through your twitter feed? It can be pretty temping to pick up your phone and do this stuff in class but you can use them in good ways in school. George Washington Middle School currently has cell phones banned in class. Although most teachers think that cell phones are a distraction, cell phones should be allowed in class because students feel anxious without their phones, there are many educational uses, and allowing phones is more convenient.
Most schools do not allow the use of cell phones in school or in class, so the school feels like changing their policy of cell phone use might be a bad idea. Students could take advantage or miss use the privilege of phones in class. There will always be students who act out in class, but the school must discipline those who do and reward those who do not.
Another reason that kids should have phones during school is that an emergency can happen at anytime and if a kid needs to contact their parent, they can use their phone. Although most to all classrooms have phones, for every kid to wait during an emergency to call their parents can be scary and most kids would like to contact their parents as soon as possible and for as long as they want or need.
Do you want kids to post pictures of teachers online? Do you want kids to text their mom to come get them? Do you want kids to take their phones to the bathroom? The answer is no. Phones should not be allowed in 10th period because of social media, taking advantage of using it anywhere , and texting.
Letting kids have phones in school would be great, here is a few reasons why. When you go to school and you have an emergency you can use your phone. Also, teachers can use it for assignments and it will be faster. If you don't let students use them they will be at a disadvantage. Schools should let students use phones because, they can look up facts quicker and easier, save schools a lot of money, and teachers can use it for academics. Letting kids have phones will improve kids everyday life at school.
The first reason we should not have phones in school is that it is dangerous. Some evidence to this is that if there is an emergency the kids would call the parents and the parents would rush to school clogging up traffic. I don’t know about you but I don’t want emergency workers late to save us.
The framework of learning in school has been the same since our ancestors attended school. Students listen to teachers, parents and elders to learn life and literacy lessons. The world has continued this old style of learning instead of using current technology to further educate young minds. Currently we have endless access to knowledge with the use of cellphones and schools are still hesitant to allow these impeccable devices in classrooms. Schools should take advantage of technology and allow the use of cellphones for educational purposes in classrooms. The reasons why we should use cellphones in school and in classrooms are because they can keep students informed on class assignments, they make the classrooms more active and they can
Should kids in elementary and high school have phone’s? This is really hard to decided but I think that kids in elementary should at least have in 5th grade and above. In high school they are more mature with thing’s so high school they should be able to have phone’s it can help them with math, english etc.
Look around you; have you seen someone without a cell phone? These days cell phones have more features other than texting or calling. They now have touch screens and cool tools. Some phones, such as the iPhone, can tell you the weather, stock prices, where you are at, and it is even voice activated! Today 's cell phone is cutting-edge technology at your fingertips. With this being said, should students be allowed to have or use cell phones in school? I think that not only students should be allowed to use them, but required to use them.
Should smartphone be banned in school? This is a controversial debate question that has been discussed between students, parents, and teachers for years. Nowadays, smartphone has become a major communication tool for people, especially the young generation. According to a 2014 EDUCAUSE report, 86 percent of undergraduates owned a smartphone as of last year, and nearly half (47 percent ) owned a tablet (Chen, Seilhamer, Bennett, & Bauer, 2015). This detailed statistic depicts the large proportion of students who own a smartphone. At the same time, students carry and use their mobile device in the classroom frequently which influence their academic life in both positive and negative way. However, schools adopt different strategies to deal with smartphone in classroom. Many schools accept the use of smartphones but experience a lot of frustration over them. In school that allow students to carry smartphones, students use smartphones to do online research, participate in online discussion, but also text to friends and use social media during class period. Other schools ban students from bringing their smartphones and see an obvious improvement in students’ test scores. It found that following a ban on phone use, the school's' test scores improved by 6.4%. The impact on underachieving students was much more significant -- their average test scores rose by 14% (Kottasova, 2015). Those statistics demonstrate that students perform better within the ban on smartphone use in school,
Smartphones have been around for many years especially at the hands of young adults in colleges and universities. Smartphone usage is beneficial in these environments because they allow for several things to occur. It has been a controversial topic among schools because they are often portrayed in a negative matter. In a society where technology is prime, it would be unusual to ban just the use of smartphones when computers, televisions, and tablets are used in universities all around the world. Campuses should not ban the use of smartphones because they are used as forms of learning, they keep students and faculty informed, and they are used as a safety measure.
