This election year has been a very hectic but interesting to say the least, the two candidates being either the first female president of the U.S. Hillary Clinton, or one of the most outlandish presidents Donald Trump. I was able to an interview with supporters of both candidates and asked them similar questions on why they're voting for either. FIrst I interviewed a friend of mine named Gerson Diniz that i've known for couple of years now. He is 20 years old who is a student in college majoring in Political science, and he is a Donald Trump supporter. My first question to Gerson was “Why are you voting for Donald Trump?”, his response was, “I guess if he becomes president his cabinet wouldn't let him do all the crazy things he says, but he would still make a difference”. My next question was “I …show more content…
Is that true in your case?” Gerson answered, “ I am voting for Donald trump mainly because of the corrupt history and background of the Clinton family. Trump may not be the best choice at this point in my opinion, but he is great compared to her”. The next question i asked was, “ Do you think all of the outlandish this donald trump has said he would do will actually happen?”. He answered, “ i believe it is virtually impossible for him to deport 12 million illegal aliens, as well as having the muslim ban go through. But i do think he is better suited to handle isis and he has the ability to construct a wall”. My next question to the trump supporter was, “What do you think about the allegations that have been directed towards Trump about him being sexist, racist, and ignorant and do you think this will carry into his presidency if he wins”. His answer was, “ I think trump is an idiot, but at least he isn't a criminal and that will carry on into his presidency”. My last question was, “forget all the allegations and scandals about both candidates
Mr. Smith, a young adult still finding his way through life, knew how to lead a correct, simple life. Unlike Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, we see that they have lived their lives a while now, so they should know how to act. The difference between the twenty sixteen candidates and Mr. Smith is that Mr. Smith was mature and civilized. He was kind to everyone around him and looked towards the younger generation to assist their growth. In this election, we cannot help but notice the order in which they respond to each other throughout their debates and social life. Mr. Smith had more maturity than the elders of our generation. It was easier for Mr. Smith to stand for his boy’s camp and what he believed in than it is for two adults to have one conversation without it getting out of
On the front runner Donald Trump, a candidate he has criticized a lot during his short lived presidential bid and after when endorsing Jeb Bush. “Donald, I don’t think he understands what makes America great,” Graham said in a more serious tone while urging reporters to ask Trump harder questions. “Our party and our country is going to have to step up its game.”
In conclusion, I think the opportunity to ask any candidate a question would be amazing, and although my question seems antagonistic, it comes from a place of genuine concern. I have never heard him elaborate on his philosophy of “make America great again,” at least not in depth. I have really enjoyed this prompt as it has allowed me to express my concerns as a future voter and I will definitely try to seek out extensive information when I am eligible to
At the beginning of the presidential debate the opening question for the candidates is, “Do you think that you are proper role models for today’s youth?”. Both Hillary and Trump use similar strategies and veer from the question at hand by switching to a totally different
The 2016 Presidential election is getting closer and the two major party nominees are getting ready for the fight of their lives, and not holding back any punches. In the red corner, representing the Republican Party, Donald Trump, the successful business person wants to make America great again. In the blue corner, representing the Democratic Party, Hilary Clinton, the former first lady and Secretary of state is making history as the first female major party Presidential candidate. Both have toured the country in full campaign mode trying to win the heart and vote of the American voters. The 2016 Presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, have very different views on debated topics
The two presidential frontrunners that Americans are forced to consider have both fell under harsh scrutiny. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have led lives in the public eye and are not strangers to scandal. Hillary Clinton is the most qualified candidate that is currently nominated. Though it is bad that there is a game to be played in Washington, there is one, and she has been playing the game for years. It is up to the next president to lead America back to greatness and to do that, the candidate has to be able to negotiate and cooperate with all branches of government as well as other nations that is Hillary Clinton. While some Americans may find themselves struggling with the question “who do I vote for,” it is imperative that our country vote for the candidate that can lead our country through the tough times
This year the presidential elections will take place at the beginning of November, and there are lots of people wondering how this is going to end. Some candidates for these presidential elections may not have been the best choice for their respective parties, but the one that really shouts, “I should not be here” is Mr. Donald Trump. His personality and actions are not the correct ones for a president because of his temper and comments against other cultures. On the other hand, we have Mrs. Clinton who is a more competent candidate; she has more experience on the field of politics than Mr. Trump who has none at all, which are the reasons why she is a better choice as a candidate and as president of the U.S.
How do two seemingly very different Americans both desire to become the leader of the greatest country? While Real Estate mogul Donald Trump and lawyer by trade Hillary Clinton have striking differences, they also share similarities. College students often find it difficult to become interested in politics. However, after the first few years’ students learn to become interested due to that affecting them more once they are in the “real world”. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are to prime examples. They are often compared because of their party affiliation, experience, and campaigning styles.
In our nation's most recent election the eligible voting population was faced with an incredibly hard decision of choosing between a renowned businessman, Donald Trump, or the wife of a well respected ex-governor from Arkansas, Hillary Clinton. Both candidates had good and bad qualities, depending on what you believe is morally right and wrong. A big part of the decision of who is the right choice to run our nation, is dependant on the motives each candidate is representing in their run for the presidency. Through both Donald Trump’s and Hillary Clinton’s race for president, they both exhibited signs related to their childhood, personal life and goals in the strategies they used to compel people for their vote for president
Reasons to vote for Hillary or Trump. I personally am not a fan of neither but when push comes to shove I rather have Hillary in the oval office then Trump.
Since 1789, citizens have consistently participated in presidential elections to determine who can skillfully lead, effectively protect, and adequately represent the United States of America. As the upcoming election of 2016 gradually makes an appearance, the people have to question who can sufficiently accomplish these objectives. The candidates’ Ideas, views, and opinions flood every political form of media to give the voters a fair opportunity in selecting the best choice according to their personal views. Before making a permanent decision, one must inspect and investigate the different candidates, including Trump, Carson, Christie, and Bush, in heavy issues such as education, immigration, and tax reform to decide who is the best
It was February of 2016. I took a Thursday off of school to go see one of the most controversial and decisive people in the world, Donald Trump. Donald Trump, since his announcement of presidency in the summer of 2015, has been the number one news story for the past year. His talking points on contentious positions of immigration and a revision of modern day politics as a whole. I have been supporting him since December of last year, so I went with my father to see him in person. The crowd was filling in, with about 1,500 people going to see what he was going to say. The rally was during the time of the primaries, when he was competing against Little Marco and Lyin’ Ted. The crowd was waiting anxiously to hear Trump speak. Out of nowhere, Chris
Donald Trump has no political background, offends several ethnicities, and attacks his fellow candidates on insignificant subjects like the way John Kasich eats, but he is the best chance America has to correct the controversial issues that inhabit today’s political and social views. Since June of 2015, the Trump Campaign has swept its way across America, gaining advocates and citizens who blatantly detest the leading Republican candidate. Supporters respect the straightforward stance Trump takes on topics such as immigration, the Second Amendment, international affairs, and America 's current ObamaCare system. Compared to other candidates like Ted Cruz, who also focuses on some of the same issues, Mr. Trump is the leader with laid out processes assuring that he can complete his mission as president. In this year’s 2016 Presidential Election, eligible voters must cast their ballot for Donald Trump because he explicitly states his approaches on pressing issues in his speeches and on his campaign website and voters enjoy his fresh take as someone who has not spent their whole life in politics. Trump considers the concerns of the people with every action he takes and can take if voted president for the next term.
To finish my survey I asked the class how they felt about a quote uttered by Trump, “All of the women on The Apprentice flirted with me - consciously or unconsciously, buts thats to be expected”. Thank goodness the responses to this question were sincere and legitimate. Many answers were derogative towards Trump, such as, sexist, rude, cocky, :(, bye, and lastly lol. I was hoping to shed some light on Trumps mannerisms before I even was able to give my presentation and i believe that quote did just that. In the end, I found my survey to be very beneficial in writing up my outline and knowing what angles to approach when trying to persuade my audience into not voting for Donald
With the Presidential debates happening this year and Obamas last couple of months in office. The candidates for the election have come to rise from certain both political parties Bernard Sanders, Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz and John Kasich. Each candidate has given speeches and responded to questions asked in debates, which have given us citizens an understanding of their policy and who we think will make a change and be in our own benefit. I believe there should be many reasons that add up behind on the decision you make on whom you will vote for. I myself will be voting for Donald John Trump this upcoming election. He is candidate for the republican party. There is many reasons behind my decision like tax reform, his system for healthcare, doesn't rely on donors, and the U.S.- China trade relationship.
