There are opinions that curfews are unconstitutional because it gives the government the right to interfere with a person’s life and privacy and personal opinions which would affect them badly.

One other reason why curfews keep teens out of trouble is that curfews set by parents are a way of showing that the parents care about the teen. (Boekestein, 2010) suggests that teens actually want to spend time with their parents but do not know how to. A curfew is the brainchild of parents all over the world to make sure that their teen is safe and also to be able to spend quality time with them while they still can. Without the curfew, teens would spend all their time with their friends but miss out on the most important people of all, which are their parents. Although it might not seem that curfews are a way to spend time with the teen, it surely is. I think there should be a curfew for kids 18 and under I agree with the teen that said it allows less time to get in trouble such as gang, drugs etc. I don't see why any kid or child should be outside or hanging out with friends, or anything else pass 9:30 pm especially on the weekdays. A kid or young adult should be learning about time management and responsibilities I don't agree that it takes freedom away by giving a curfew by 9:30 pm young adult and teens should be showering or doing extra reading or homework and getting ready for school. It is proven teens get into trouble when they are out past curfew. Criminal activity for teens are more likely to happen later in the evening because parental supervision is not present.
