The interrogation room I was sitting in was cold and kind of dark. I get why it's like this but I don't understand why I'm here.
"Hi, I'm detective Bran."
The man reached his hand out to me, I shook it and starred at the sliver table ahead of me.
"Can you tell me a bit about, what lead to Heather going to this rally today and a recap of what happened?" He asked
"You have the reports or whatever, I'm sure there's a video around."
"Just doing my job."
I sighed heavily, I just want this to be over.
"About a week ago, Heather mentioned a rally was happening about race and that she wanted to go to it. We took off work, packed up and took a road trip here. We were tourist for a bit before we actually went to the rally."
"Anyone stalking

"I'm sorry for your loss, seems like you two were close, um, at the rally could you point out anyone looking overly angary or someone who look like they would kill?"
I shrugged and sniffed.
"It was a violent protest, brawls everywhere, guns in peoples hands."
"So everyone." He sighed.
"I'm sorry I want to help but there's not much I can say."
"Can you describe the car? I just want to confirm witness reports of a gray muscle car."
"Yea, looked like a recent model, the car is completely destroyed at this point."
"A lot of them were, do you know James Fields?"
"Uh, no, never heard of him. Is that who killed heather?"
"So not a personal attack."
"Well?" I yelled.
He gulped and took a deep breath.
"Yes, it is."
My mind was swarming with thoughts of what I'd do to that guy who killed my best friend.
"Thank you for your time sir, you're free to go." The officer said softly.
"I want him to suffer." I said to him.
"lots of people were hurt during that incident, a lot of people want him to suffer, trust me he will." The man said standing up.
"Earlier you said "It wasn't personal"."
"Yes, I did, was it?"
"No, just why would it matter?" I said choking on tears.
"He injured numerus people and killed an innocent woman, he's going away forever but I want him to be labeled for everything he's done, not just one crime."
I sat in silence
"Heather is never coming home, her parents will never see her again, you will never see her again, I
“There appears to be some damage done. There are too many good leaders in the county to let that misunderstanding continue. Life’s too short. It’s about our lives.”
“Honestly I feel they should’ve given him the chair for what he did. I don’t feel the punishment fit the crime.”
“Then how do you explain all the things that still happen to them now?” Savannah then asked me now sounding implacable.
“I have no idea.. this has never happened in my years of working, I’m thinking we-” I cut Sarah
"It's a sad and difficult time and no words will take away the pain and sorrow of what has happened."
“We can’t just pretend that it never happened. Not only will this affect us, but everyone else as well.”
"I couldn't tell you how long we were waiting for everyone else to get in place. Obviously another power comes into be when you're hanging on and you know what the alternative is of you letting go and not having other people to help you."
Once I got there, I heard my Mom yelling my name to come back. I bitterly walked back to my campsite. ”Mom I want to hang out with Ashley” I dolefully said.
“Why don’t you wait out here,” Spears said, recognizing the emotional exhaustion and guilt that so often torments the children of the dying. “I’ll sit with him for a while.”
“I’m done here” He rose from his bench and placed the palms of hands on the table, lifted his broad shoulders and inclined towards me, positioning his face merely 20 centimeters from mine.
“He was being bullied. He doesn’t have a computer so I couldn’t send him an Instant Message to see if he was okay, and he seemed fine when he left.”
Normally Matt never likes tampering his mother's free will, but with each passing month, something deep within him is clouding his mind. "Well mom, I been thinking. What you're planing to do with your pregnancy next year, can you make it larger? Like...making your previous plans thin by comparison?"
Initially golden eyes were drawn to examining the manor that stood imposingly existent, as most noble dwellings did, though at the question they turned menacingly towards the offending party. Plenty of Eliseo’s days had passed with his brother’s devious second hand man lingering overhead, and he could detect the subtle threat that lay dormant beneath a guise of parting pleasantries. If features weren’t already stiffened from the metal that encased the lower half of his face the outright disrespect of such an inquiry would have been capable of producing the same result, and yet he felt the message was conveyed well by the narrowed gleam of an already impatient glare. “Ensuring the sanctity of the Devore name is, and will always be, my
When someone knocked on her door later that week, Charlie was wondering just what the hell she had gotten herself into. Hannah was teething, or at least that was what the older woman who had stopped by yesterday on Franks behalf had said. All Charlie knew was that it had turned the little girl into a non stop whining machine. Throw a sick, clingy Brody into the mix and Charlie was about to lose her mind.
A content smile was an immediate reaction to the quip directed at him as he readily turned heel and followed after his roommate, but skillful digits made sure to click the lock in a swift movement as a precaution that would hopefully ensure no intruders were there to greet them upon returning home. Lifting a delicate, well-sculpted brow, he didn’t bother to suppress the slightly startled laughter that slipped passed his lips at the response to his casual inquiry. Keeping his gaze steady, yet light-hearted Rhys removed the obstructive candy he treasured with a resounding pop and dangled it loosely between two firm fingers out of reflex. “Guess the cats out of the bag.” A teasing tone made the comment an off-handed one, and the glinting
