A social problem is a condition that at least some people in a community would deem as being undesirable. A social problem is also a condition ‘created’ by a society that is can usually be alleviated or solved by society. According to our textbook, Social Problems: Reading with Four Questions, there are three criteria that a problem must meet in order to be a social problem. First of all, the problem must be social in origin and caused by social factors. The more its causes are social, the more it becomes a social problem.

With wars throughout the globe such as those in Iran, and Africa, there have been hundreds and thousands of misplaced children. These children have become an extra burden on these already poor communities as there is nowhere to hold them. Orphanages of children have been destroyed through air attacks and village raids.

Deep thoughts carry stronger outputs, remember that. First, I would like to say that I didn’t think about poverty, immigrants and human trafficking until you stated this in your feedback. Immigrants and human trafficking is extremely important when it comes to VDPV being seen in the United States. There are so many scenarios when individuals are not able to get the required vaccination to keep them from contracting and spreading diseases. I believe that God wants us all to be protected from the harm of earthly diseases, but what are we to do for those who are in difficult circumstances.

Author's Note: Last time I submitted this ended up having this chapter denied due to the "FOSTA-SESTA" law regarding sex trafficking. I went about to rewrite this for the better and clarify that I do not intend to delve into that catagory. In fact, in the next chapter our main character would escape that very fate. Every year thousands of people of all genders, race, and age become victimized in sex trafficking. These people who become victims are usually vulnerable and are living in poverty structured areas. Many countries around the world are dealing with this serious issue, even in the United States. The United States federal law has defined sex trafficking as an act, “in which the commercial sex act is induced by force, fraud, or coercion, or in which the person induced to perform such an act has not attained 18 years of age” (Polaris Project). Sex trafficking is not only seen as a crime but is also seen as a business of supply and demand to many people. This business makes a profit of about 9.8 billion dollars a year. In recent events it has been shown that sex trafficking increases during big sporting events. As a result, some actions have been taken to combat the issue, but not enough. Therefore, due to the fact that sex trafficking is a worldwide issue and it is increasing over time; I will argue how there needs to be changes to the approach we have on the issue of sex trafficking.

Sex trafficking is essentially systemic rape for profit. Force, fraud and coercion are used to control the victim’s behavior which may secure the appearance of consent to please the buyer (or john). Behind every transaction is violence or the threat of violence (Axtell par. 4). In this article the the author discusses the reality of sex trafficking in the United States still going on today. According to one of her sources, Love 146, More than 100,000 U.S children are forced to engage in prostitution or pornography in combination to $32 billion being spent worldwide on trafficking. The two examples that Chinapen gave were two women named Shandra Woworuntu and Ms. Richards. Shandra Woworuntu came to the U. S. from Indonesia to pursue a job in the hotel business but as soon as she arrived her passport and other identification was taken. For years she suffered in sex trafficking she was able to escape.

It seems that most Americans likely live within a comfortable drive of someone who is being exploited through human trafficking. There is a growing trend in human trafficking toward sexual exploitation (Bennetts, 2011). The Information Age has helped to create new opportunities for sex trafficking to flourish.
