Soon, Somerset recognizes them as part of the seven deadly sins, and realizes the murders are related, concluding there are five murders left. End of spoilers. I am impressed by the way the plot takes shape. From the beginning to the end, it develops in a very exceptional and interesting way, making us, as spectators, feel completely thrilled by the story. The strongest part of this movie is the dramatic, brilliant script; it is related to the deadly seven sins and the whole history behind them, even some writers and books are named. Also, it has a very attractive cinematography, even though it can sometimes get a bit confusing. Everyone should watch this impressive movie. Out of 7 stars, I am giving it 7, which is still not enough if I think about its dazzling
America’s answer for dealing with crime prevention is locking up adult offenders in correctional facilities with little rehabilitation for reentry into society. American response for crime prevention for juvenile’s offenders is the same strategy used against adult offenders taken juvenile offenders miles away from their environment and placed in adult like prisons.
Divided we fall book is about a private first class name Daniel Wright trying to serve his country and do his duty to protect and served his home as an Idaho Guardsmen. The author, Trent Reedy served in the Iowa national guard for 7 years and a tour in Afghanistan. I believed the book was well written by the author by giving us dramatic moments and good postures. The plot of the story was great by giving us details and action to give us an answer. Trent did an excellent telling us a story of a young soldier who’s trying to do good for his country. The story is mostly about a 17-yr. old private in the Idaho Guardsmen who’s going to High school somewhere right by a lake. Daniel was not just a guardsman, he plays for his school football team for
In this essay I intend to explore the narrative conventions and values, which Oliver Smithfield presents in the short story Victim. The short story positions the reader to have negative and sympathetic opinion on the issues presented. Such as power, identity and bullying. For example Mickey the young boy is having issues facing his identity. It could be argued that finding your identity may have the individual stuck trying to fit in with upon two groups.
The book I read for this book report was called “After Eli” by: Rebecca Rupp. In the story the main character’s name is Daniel (Danny) Anderson. Since his brother Eli died in the war in Iraq, his parents acted different. His dad became detached and displeased by everything and his mom became silent and withdrawn. The reason Eli joined the army was because of the 9/11 bombing on the World Trade Center. Eli was very emotional about the bombings and decided to join the army. After Eli had died his mom quit her job at the local kindergarten and was very depressed and his dad stopped talking to people. This type of conflict is Man vs. Self because Danny’s parents are dealing with problems that they need to overcome. Another type of conflict is Man
In emergency situations people act the way they do depending on how sever they think that the emergency is. For example if the emergency is really tragic then people could do irrational things because they are in shock or panicking. Also people usually panic and only think for their own survival not others in an emergency such as 9/11. People only want to get out of the building and away from the emergency because then they know that they are safe and not in harm’s way anymore. In the article Simplexity by Jeffery Kluger he points out how people can act like water particles in emergency situations.
Se7en, another great by director David Fincher is a crime thriller made in 1995. In this movie, we follow the story of two detectives, arrogant and young David Mills (Brad Pitt) and retiring veteran William Somerset (Morgan Freeman) on Somerset’s final case. Together the detectives follow the trail of Doe and are introduced to the results of his horrific homicides.

Overall I found the movie to be quite interesting and exciting at times but a bit slow in others. The story itself was very clear to me and didn’t cause any confusion. It had a good flow also, just as you were on the verge of falling into boredom with a scene they switched it up on you to keep you
When looking at the many pieces of artwork that were in the Georgia Museum of Art, Playground by Paul Cadmus was the only one that was able to fully grasp my attention and make me want to come back to view it. The piece had many characters performing different actions and poses, each individual with their own characteristics. The first thing that I noticed in the piece is a young, white male with bleach-washed hair in the foreground. The pants that he is wearing are unbuttoned and slightly below his waist. The boy’s arms are positioned behind him bending back with his hands underneath his undergarments. He stares back at the viewer with a blank look on his face. Scattered on the ground, trash and crumpled pieces of newspaper can be found on the ground. Behind the young man, there is another man with black hair and a ripped shirt, his chest exposed and his back against a metal fence. He holds a cigarette in his left hand and has his right hand in his pocket
Overall, the movie was not as bad as I thought it would be. The best part about the movie is the images in the scenes. Each frame of the movie is like a picture of religious art that is extremely religious, perfect, even I personally feel like these scenes are full of emotions directed by the director. The movie uses confessions, questions, and concerns of the characters in the movie and they whisper to God whenever they are lost, happy, and sad in life. However, these lines are sometimes unreasonable, somewhat overwhelming to the image, which does not really serve the purpose of the film. And it makes me feel that the movie is the mind of the director himself rather than the character, because these narratives really do not make me care what the voice is saying, but only the content of the words. Although the movie serves its philosophy lesson, but it was too long to the point it was overwhelming. Furthermore, the scene of the Creation sequence made me thought that I was watching science/ religion movie. Ultimately, with the dazzling image of the film as well as the perfect cast, this is really a worthwhile movie to watch and
Se7en, which is a thriller that was released in 1995, takes place in a nameless city. Se7en follows the story of two homicide detectives tracking down a serial killer who chooses his victims according to the seven deadly sins. Brad Pitt, who plays Detective David Mills, who is a naive rookie detective, finds himself partnered with a veteran, Detective William Somerset (Morgan Freeman). Together they trace and watch the killers every step, witnessing the aftermath of his horrific and gory crimes one by one as the victims pile up rapidly, all while moving closer to a gruesome fate.
This poetry anthology is a collection of poems, which shows the people’s point of view about the wilderness and humanity. This topic interest me because I believe that most people possesses this dualistic vision that separates humanity and wilderness. I also strongly believe that us, humans, are very alike with most animals in this planet. As I started my research, a poetry book called “The Penguin Anthology of Twentieth Century American Poetry,” edited by Rita Dove, is doubtless the most interesting poetry book I have ever read. Though, I haven’t yet had the chance to read all of the poems, but I have to announce that the ones I’ve read are very powerful and amusing. There are varieties of poems that we discussed in class, such as racism,
Comment: I found this film very tough going- it is undoubtedly a well made film and has some clever and quirky moments. However I lost interest around halfway through the film and could not engage with the film and its clunky style. A lighter touch would have made a huge difference to the viewing experience. Perhaps as an artistic statement it deserves more than three stars but as a movie going experience it was only a little bit better than average.
On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being excellent) how do you rate the film? Explain your answer.
