Senior project paper
I chose my Senior Project on Animation. Animation for those who don't know is making drawings come to life in film and screen. As an Animator, I will use computers, pencils and paper among other beings, to create movies and TV shows .
I have chosen animation as my career because I have always loved cartoons and films such as Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks. Some of my favorite films are Disney’s “The Lion King”, Pixar's “Toy Story’ and DreamWorks ‘Sherk”. In my mind animation is more of an artform than a career
The skills you would need for this career are Time management, Artistic knowledge, and Artistic skill and independence along with good computer skills and teamwork . These skills are necessary for the job

The health benefits of this career are good pay, long hours, and plenty of opportunities to work as well as a flexible work schedule. Another benefit of being an animator is being able to work at home, for example, if you work at home, you will have a sucnifetley lower chance of getting sick than if you were, for instance, in an office setting the percentage of sick days will decrease
For my interviews I have asked 2 of the best of animation teachers in western P.A., ( in my opinion ) John Kelly and Jared Taylor ( from the Toonsuim and Edinboro University respectively). According to both Kelly And Taylor you need about 3 to 4 years of schooling in either visual arts or animation. Kelly was an animator for Disney and now is a teacher of the subject. As stated in a previous paragraph the pay is around 30 to $63,000 in total. My second question I asked the two gentlemen, is if there is any math involved in the job, the answer is no. I asked this question because having Spina Bifida, my math skills are subpar to the rest of my peers .There may not be any math involved in my job, but there is a timing which I’l need to improve
Senior citizens are the people who are most likely to take multiple medications due to the occurring chronic conditions as the aging process continues. Given the several medicines they take, they are ironically the age group that is very much sensitive to medication side effects, both therapeutic and negative.
When I think of a senior project, I think of an educational opportunity that help students obtain adult-like skills, interests, and hopefully, maturity. Also, it’s a form of expression for most students, because it’s their chance where they can show and demonstrate what they’ve accomplished throughout their experience with their topic. As I mentioned before, it helps students obtain interests but also helps them acknowledge others and expand their minds to new possibilities or opportunities. I also think that senior projects are beneficial for a student's future because if they worked hard enough on their topic, and chose to pursue it as a career, they could have their senior project as a listed experience to set them aside from other applicants. Even
Think about being a senior with only months left before graduation. Think about not wanting to go to class, about wanting to skip all things resembling homework, and daydreaming of what your future holds. What makes a senior fall victim to this crippling disease that includes symptoms such as laziness, lack of studying, repeated absences, and the over excessive wearing of track pants. This is known as senioritis and the only known cure is an antidote called graduation.
I will explain the requirements it takes, how it has changed from years past, and other occupational details. Starting from the top, the minimum academic requirement
Playing a character at Disney World and being a secondary school teacher are both jobs that have been dreams of mine for many years due to the fact that I could help make an impact in the lives of children. Both character actors and secondary school teachers are able to work with youth, and both occupations offer high job satisfaction. Disney World is one of the happiest places on Earth, and I always smile when I am there. I hope that I can one day put the same big, goofy grin on a little kid’s face that I have always had on my face when I am there. That is my biggest dream. Many of the people in my family have been teachers, including my mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and several of my aunts and uncles. Teaching is in my blood, and I have always wanted to be a teacher. I think middle and high school students especially need good teachers, which is why I want to teach this particular age group. While being a character for Disney has education and skill requirements that I am close to meeting already and a high job satisfaction, teaching will be worthwhile for me in the long run.
Senior project is an amazing experience for everyone who is fortunate enough to complete one. It allows us to attempt things we never would have otherwise and take a step out of our comfort zone. The most amazing thing about senior project is that it is designed to challenge students and help set us up for more in the future. It has the ability to give students a whole new perspective on their topics while also building an appreciation towards it. This is the general consensus I have gathered about senior project since I began.
In a world where technology is rapidly developing and evolving, it is sometimes hard to keep up with the changes that are made. When looking back on changes that are made it is particularly interesting to look at the development of animation over history. Today when one thinks about animation it is impossible not to think of Disney and their major motion pictures. The Shreck films, Finding Nemo, and Happy Feet, to name just some of the dozens of animated films Disney has produced, raked in million upon millions of dollars at the box office, and have been hit films with people in all age groups.
To begin, you have to take many classes some of these classes include, algebra, English, chem/biology,physics, psychology, history, marketing, tech applications, business essentials, promotional planning, art classes, industrial design, photography and a few more types of classes. After high school, you would have to take four years of College to become an art director. Most of the time, people go into smaller businesses before they actually become an art director. Clearly, in this career path, both education and training are crucial in becoming a qualified Art
The demographics of the population that like animation encompasses baby boomers, adults and large numbers of children alike, leads to an improvement in the revenue and exposure for the animation industry (See Exhibit 1 for Percentage of total births). Therefore the social factors are also favorable.
Animation has been part of the world for a very long time. Use of animation is becoming more popular each day. Animation can be used for different purpose such as advertisement and education, but it’s mainly used for entertainment. Lot of short stories and film has been created using animation. Most successful animation companies usually come from United State. For example Pixar, which has produce some of the most box-office films which include WALL-E, Toy Story and Inside Out. Animation companies from Japan also not left behind in producing high-quality animation and becoming more popular nowadays.
One of the reasons why animation was made, was so that it could be used for entertainment for both the young and old demographic (Del Siegle). it is important whenever someone is trying to make art that it appeals to people or a specific type of demographic. Animation can also be used to teach what is the proper way to write stories (Del Siegle). With all the animations out there, they would need to have a good story, right? If an animation does not have a good story, most people tend not to like it, because of this aspiring animators can look at any animation and see what make its good or bad. And with the improvement of technology, many people are finding careers in places like Pixar and Dreamworks (Daniel Lombardo). Animation is so big that there are companies so that people, who want to, can go out there and find a career. Animation brings up so many opportunities, it makes people be able to use their creativity in so many ways, which brings me to my next
As any cliché artist would say, “I started drawing a lot when I was younger;” but not me –I can’t remember when I started to enjoy the arts. I have always been driven to create and express myself. I painted scenery to calm my nerves, draw intricate objects to focus on details, and draw dynamic poses to allow development of my eye. The mountain of used sketchbooks fills its’ own bookcase, dating back to early elementary years when I would create little stories much like a comic book. Despite my deep love for the arts, I always loved animation much more. Animation is the perfect blend of drawing and creating visual aid, while elaborately designing a storyline and plot to engage the audience –animation lets the average audience member to feel
Animation is when you take a series of pictures or images and make them appear to be in motion. Animation has been a pastime for people since before televisions or movies were invented. We’ve all seen an animated show whether you know it or not. From Snow White and the Seven Dwarves to Kung Fu Panda or Frozen, animation has been around to make us smile. Making an animation requires dedication and knowledge behind animating, more importantly; you must know the steps to the animation process.
According to Andrew Gordon, directing animator at Pixar, an animator should first work on traditional art because it helps with compositing and creating visually appealing shots. Furthering themselves into their profession so they stand out. Secondly, he recommended working in depth in a single area of the field and excelling at that aspect. In 3D animation studios like Pixar, these aspects could be modeling characters, modeling environments, simulations,
Multi-Media artists, (including Animators) create special effects such as animation, films, video, computers, or other electronic media.
