The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines courage as “mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty.” Harper Lee’s novel To Kill a Mockingbird flawlessly fulfills this definition of courage by depicting everyday people carrying out acts of bravery in spite of their dangers, fears, or difficulties. The 2015 Texas legislature passed a bill to allow concealed handgun permit holders to begin carrying their handguns openly. You do not have to conceal your gun like you did in the past. The bill was signed into law on June 13, 2015, and was effect as of January 1, 2016. Handguns should be carried in a hip or shoulder holster when out in the open now. Businesses can in fact say no to guns on their sites, areas that were considered gun-free zones before this bill took effect remain gun-free zones today. If businesses decide to ban guns they have to post signs to let their customers know. Some of the businesses in Texas (and other states) that are banning open-carry include Whataburger, H-E-B, Whole Foods, Randall’s Food Markets, Torchy’s Tacos, Jimmy Changas and Gringo’s Mexican Kitchen. Athletes ask a lot of their body’s majority of the year, but during preseason the athlete’s body can be pushed to its limits. Many coaches will try to get as many and as much out of their practices during the allotted time period. While coaches have the best intentions in mind in making their team the most successful they possibly can, this can result in them losing sight of the health of their athletes. Preseason can be a psychologically and physically taxing time for athletes and athletic trainers should do their part in making sure that they are not being pushed past the limits of what is considered to be healthy (di Fronso, Nakamura, Bortoli, Robazza, and Bertollo, 2013). In all levels of sport, involvement there is a high incidence of injuries that are bound to occur. These injuries can range in severity, from simple cuts and bruises to season or even career ending injuries. In many cases, the injured athlete is initially assessed and diagnosed with whatever ailment they may have. Next, the athlete is treated for that injury whether it be surgery, physical therapy, or both and then is given time to physically recover from that injury. First, is the education of the patient, if the athlete is willing to report and communicate the problem to the appropriate personnel at the moment and time when it happens, the medical staff will be on the ability of removing the athlete from participation if it is necessary. In addition of educating the athletes, it will be vital to focus on the education of coaches, and parents over the consequences of this injury, the responses of the athlete during the injury, importance of reporting this to the medical personnel (Athletic trainer), and acceptance of the injury. By increasing the awareness of the injury, the medical staff will be more accurate, precise, and the time of recovery will be lower since the athlete will report it in a shorter period of time.

It is important to have a just government so that the nation can continue to evolve. The Constitution created a just government that provided more security than the Articles of Confederation had previously provided. The founders of the United States intended for all citizens to experience a just government through the Constitution. The Constitution established a balanced state and federal government, taxes that created federal revenue, and three branches of government that provided a just government for the United States.
Injuries will occur, no matter the sport. The type of injury to occur depends on the gender of the player. Often, when players become injured, they are in denial about the repercussions of their injury and usually have a loss in confidence. Repercussions can tragically be career ending, long term or luckily short term. Understanding the injury and it’s impact on a player is important, however, knowing how to prevent the injury is more important.
