I agree with you about the follow-up when children are placed with family members. I did my internship at a center for children and families. At the agency, I did individual therapy, I observed children expressing the desire of reunification with parents and their desires going unheard. Usually residing with the grandmother, I observe the children express lack of financial funds and emotional connections. The case manager’s express their relief they have a placement for the child.
