My favorite constellation is Scorpius. I have chosen Scorpius because that is my Zodiac sign, and I have come to learn about it a lot in the past few years. Scorpius is Latin for "scorpion," and Scorpius is in between the constellation Libra to the west and Sagittarius to the east. Scorpius in Greek mythology, was associated with Orion. Orion bragged about killing every animal on the earth to the goddess Artemis and her mother Leto. Artemis offered to protect all of the animals. Her and her mother sent out a scorpion to deal with Orion. They battled and the scorpion killed Orion before he could hurt the animals. The fight caught Zeus's attention and he sent Orion and Scorpius up into the Heavens. I believe a way that Scorpius could
I have chosen the constellation Leo. I have chosen Leo because it is my horoscope sign. The real name of the constellation Leo is leonis which in translation means "the lion". Leo's right ascention is 11 hours, and its declination is 15 degrees. Leo is made up of 11 stars(regulus, denebola, algiebra, zosma, ras elased australius, adhafera, chort, al minliar asad, alterf, ras elesed borialas, subra). Leo is also one of the 13 constellations of the zodiac.
My favourite constellation is the Aquarius one. I particularly like this constellation because I love the mythology behind it. It is said the the Greeks connected the Aquarius constellation with Ganymede who was known as the cup bearer to the gods. According to the myth, apparently Ganymede was a handsome young boy who Zeus had an interest for. Ganymede was brought to Mount Olympus by Zeus, where he served as cup bearer to the gods and there he was granted eternal youth after he poured out Zeus wine and water which caused a great flood because he didn't want to serve drinks anymore.
Aquarius is my favorite constellation because its my zodiac sign and so i feel more attached to it than others! Plus Aquarius in Fairy tail is pretty cool. Aquarius's name is Latin for "water bearer" and it's symbol is obviously water. The constellation lies by the constellations Pisces and Capricornus. The constellation is the 10th largest in the sky and was discovered by Ptolemy.
My favorite constellation by far is the Gemini constellation. The Gemini constellation is my favorite because my star sign is Gemini. And it is fairly easy to spot in the night sky, although the best viewing month is in February.
Pegasus is my favorite constellation. It lies in the northern sky and looks like a box with legs. I like the idea of a horse with wings that can not only gallop across land but also fly freely through the sky. I dream sometimes of having my own winged horse to ride and for this reason Pegasus is my favorite constellation.
The myth behind Orion is a tragic myth. So Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, fell in love with Orion, a giant huntsman. Apollo did not approve of his sister's love, for Orion was a giant and the gods did not get along well with the giants. One night while Artemis was hunting, Apollo went and tied Orion far into a lake so only his head was seen. As soon as Artemis got to the lake, her brother challenged her to a game. He told her she would be the better
My favorite constellation is the archer, or better known as the Sagittarius constellation. This constellation is known as a zodiac sign, there are multiple zodiac signs, and they supposed to foretell your personality depending on when you are born. Not only does this constellation have a colorful history, it also has an interesting present. This group of stars is one of the 88 modern day constellations and one of the 48 recognized constellations by the 2nd century astronomer Ptolemy. It is also located in the most dense part of the Milky Way galaxy. Meaning that the constellation has many nebulae and star clusters. I didn't choose the Sagittarius constellation just because of these exquisite features, but because according to the zodiac sign timing, I am a Sagittarius.
He earned a spot amongst her hunters (who are generally only female) and was hailed as the best hunter the world had ever seen. There are different versions of his death, but one of the first says that he bragged to Artemis about his hunting prowess, saying he could kill any creature of the Earth. The Earth heard this and sent the Scorpion (Scorpio) to kill him. Orion and the Scorpion killed each other, and Artemis preserved them both in the night
The Romans associated the Ophiuchus constellation with Asclepius, a renowned healer who observed a serpent healing another serpent with a healing herb. This taught Asclepius how to make humanity immortal. The God Jupiter did not want humanity to become immortal, so he killed Asclepius with a lightning
My favorite constellation, thats a tough one because I have several. But, since I have to choose one I would have to go with the constellation Pegasus. This is my favorite, because I like horses. I always did like the creature named Pegasus in the Disney movie Hercules. I also like how it's shaped in the night sky. Some information about Pegasus, is that it's located in the Northern sky. Pegasus is also a winged horse greek mythology.
My favourite constellation is Cancer, or, the crab. This is my Zodiac sun sign, the zodiac segment the sun was in at the time I was born. The Cancer is the dimmest of the zodiac signs, and it looks like an upside-down Y. It can be seen during autumn in the southern hemisphere and northern hemisphere in early spring.
The most famous myth involving Pegasus was the hero Bellerophon who was sent by King Lobates to destroy the monster Chimaera that could breathe fire. Bellerophon tamed a lost Pegasus, and swooped down from the sky, and slayed the monster with his arrows. Bellerophon then had a failed attempt to fly to the gods. He
I chose the constellation Cancer (“The Crab”), because is the constellation that represents my zodiac sing, that is Cancer; this constellation represents the form of a crab, and is because this the name of the constellation means crab in Latin, this constellation is visible on The South Hemisphere on the autumn, and on The Northern Hemisphere on the begin of the spring. That constellation occupies a five hundred six square degrees.
The constellation I have chosen is Cancer. I chose this constellation because it is my zodiac sign. Naturally, I found it interesting to learn about and write an essay on my discovery and creation theory. Cancer is Latin for "Crab", The name was chosen because the representation of the the constellation is in fact a crab. The constellation is 506 sq. degrees and made up of faint stars.
My favorite constellation is Sagittarius because not only is it my horoscope, it has my favorite star in it. Kaus Astraulis. In fact, this star is the brightest in the constellation. It's many times larger than our Sun, and despite being so bright, it's one hundred and forty five years away from us. Back to the topic of Sagittarius, it also has my favorite mythological creature in it- a centaur drawing its bow.
