Traveling to Paris again, Bonaventure had written another chapter about Saint Francis. The twelve heads made a decision that that any other writings about Saint Francis should be destroyed because they did not meet the full requirements they felt were necessary. Later he had written end the fourth chapter about Saint Francis. This chapter ordered a mass to take place every Saturday honoring Mary the Mother of Jesus. Deep in the thick swamps and woods of Northern Gulf County, amidst the buzz and sting of mosquitoes, chirps of squirrels, and swirls of the Apalachicola, is a long-lost story. One hundred and eighty years ago the town of Iola sprang out of the cypress swamp of what is now north east Gulf County. That small community, was, and still is an enigma in the wilderness of territorial Florida and has all but faded from the memory of Gulf County and is nothing but a boat ramp now.
St. Ignatius of Antioch understood the Christian faith to be objective and sensible, stating that Christianity is fundamentally a religion based in historic, tangible realties . He was adamant to the fact that Jesus Christ was a real human with real flesh; he encountered real suffering and died a truly human death. Ignatius saw Christian faith and the person of Jesus Christ in such a way that it put him at odds with the Gnostics, who held to a Docetic Christology that was circulating widely among the Church. For Ignatius, this was a serious issue that needed to be addressed due to the purity of the faith and the truth it held. At stake was the validity of the incarnation, suffering, death, and resurrection of the person of Jesus Christ. If this is not real or true, Ignatius believed that man
In addition, many saints and early Christian martyrs were passionate and stalwart in their faith in Jesus Christ, however, few were as resilient and daring as Saint Sebastian. Born in the mid-third century AD, very little is known about Saint Sebastian's early life except that it is believed that he was originally from a small France town called Narbonne and he might have been educated in Milan. After his teenage years, Saint Sebastian joined the Roman Army in 283 AD with an ulterior motive to protect and help other Christians who were being persecuted by the Romans. Saint Sebastian excelled in the Roman Army, eventually being promoted to Praetorian Guard to personally protect the Roman Emperor at the time, Diocletian. While serving in the Praetorian
The Catholic church is one of the best known religions today. Yet it was not like this before in the olden times. The Church was not reaching out into the outer peripheries. Many people in general did not know what Catholicism was. They were misguided by the pagan priests who taught them false teachings of tree-rock-sun worship. Every time the Church would attempt to evangalize these countries they would be thrown out or the evangalizers would be killed in barbaric ways. Yet 1 man stood out and managed to succesfully evangalize most of Prague and Poland. That mans name was St. Adalbert.

It was a tied game during the championship match of the 2002 Paralympic games. If St. Germaine made this goal then Team USA would win the game! He swung his stick back hitting the puck and GOAL! St. Germaine and his teammates were paraplegics, a person who has lost the use of his/ her legs because of nerve or muscle damage.

As stated by Ms. Turk, “If a person in a rational state of mind decides to act crazy, to abuse the people around him regardless of whether he loves those people or hates them, and to give free expression to all his antisocial thoughts, when he starts to carry out those actions, its it possible to say at what point the stops pretending and starts actually being crazy?”. In Hamlet by William Shakespeare, the way others interpret Hamlet’s behavior is different from the way Hamlet views himself.

Leaders, to be a successful communicator, must acquire the skills and tasks of an active listener. My position as a charge nurse has allowed me to learn the art of communication of which I find to be crucial especially when dealing with volatile situations that occur in the workplace between the staff, patients, and their loved one. One particular case I can recall involved a family member who disagreed with the staff handling of their loved one whom they requested another nurse. This was one of my busiest nights, and I had to intervene and resolved the issue before it escalated to another level. What comes to mind about World War I when you think about it? Is it the constituent battle killing soldiers left and right or the unsanitary conditions the soldiers lived in? It’s safe to say World War I was one of the bloodiest battles of the 19th century, killing approximately 8 million soldiers in battle, and wounding a little over 21 million. Although this event is discussed widely throughout the country some don’t realize what all was involved with the war. Not only did the soldiers put their lives on the line but many individuals such as medical staff, ambulance drivers and pilots etc…did so, as well. Many countries were involved in world war one; throughout this essay the focus will remain on World War One, the role of fascism, and
