He was able to make the government of France very dependent on him. His dealings with Italians produced a "Cisalpine" republic modeled after the French with Milan as its capital. After seizing political power in France in a 1799 coup d’état, he crowned himself emperor in 1804. ending when Napoleon Bonaparte staged a coup d'état and declared himself the ruler of France. 2) One instance where Napoleon demonstrated hero-like behaviours was during the Concordat of 1801.  This was when he  and Pope Vius VII setteled an agreement to allow the restablishation of the Roman Catholic Church in France.   The agreement was signed in Paris, France on July fifith of 1801.

The British bought cash crops from the colonies, such as tobacco, since it grew much better in the fertile land in the United States.

In 1795 Napoleon was the man of the hour after he defended the delegates and greeted thousands with a cannonade and attackers fled. Napoleon became known as the savior of Paris and many praised him. In his battle against Austria and Sardinia in 1796 he failed to repeat the victory. He gave a speech to his troops to keep the enougared and not to feel set back by the loss. This speech was a success because he and his troops continued fighting many more battles and capturing many more cities(document 1).

He served his area for sixteen years. Napoleon was a dictator that held power over the french people because he was in love with power, liked people seeing him in charge, and he wants to be considered the perfect image to everyone.

Countries worldwide were formed through many different ways. The formation of a country has always been dependent on many factors. However, one of the outstanding or rather, common way in which countries were formed was through war waged by two or sometimes more opposing groups. The basis of these wars was mainly due to political differences. It can be noticed that during such periods, women had little impact especially politically. Napoleon reigned over the French from May 18, 1804 to April 11, 1814 and ruled Italy over the years from March 17, 1805 to April 11, 1814. Napoleon I, Emperor of the French, set up Napoleonic Code; it was a major influence in civil law jurisdictions. Napoleon is best recognized for his role in the wars against France, known as the Napoleonic Wars. His success in these multiple battles led Napoleon to be known as one of the best military leaders of all time. His strategies and campaigns are studied at military schools around the world.

He abdicated the throne after the French attempted to invade Russia in 1812 and exiled, but he returned to power a few years alter only to resign once again after a crushing defeat at the battle of Waterloo and exiled to the island of Saint Helena and died at age 51. Bonaparte was known as an astute, ambitious, and extremely skilled military strategist as he waged war and expanded his empire.

Napoleon has been recognised as a military genius. His various military exploits have been widely regarded as great feats and his military prowess was definitely an important factor is his ascension to power. Napoleon has been said to be a great tactician and strategist in war which was essentially why he was able to progress through the ranks of military also while becoming a national hero. In 1793, the then young Napoleon became a national hero by leading the recapture of the French port of Toulon from the British which drew the attention of the upper echelons.      In Napoleon’s first battle as leader of an army, he became famous. By pointing artillery at the British, Napoleon drove them out of Toulon. The Directory then sent him to Italy to attack an army of Austrians. After this victory, Napoleon gained more fame and was known as a hero.
