In ancient Greece, around 500 B.C.E, the culture was revolving around gods and goddesses. The lifestyles and actions of the people of Greece had an interdependence with the common belief of Hellenism. By understanding that many Greeks looked to their gods and goddesses in most aspects of their life, we can better understand how Greek culture worked as a whole. This can be seen specifically in Athens Greece. In Athens they looked to the Goddess Athena in particular because she was their patron Goddess. During this time a sculptor, named Phidias, sculpted a grand statue called the Athena Parthenos. The Athena Parthenos was viewed as an actual incarnation of the Goddess Athena, and symbolize victory in wars that ultimately create peace and harmony.

Religion impacted the civilizations of the ancient world by greatly influencing how peoples of ancient civilizations acted, how they thought about the world around them, how civilizations were organized and maintained, and how they interacted with civilizations of another religion.
Classical Greek culture had a powerful influence on the Roman Empire, which carried a version of it to many parts of the Mediterranean region and Europe. The early civilizations play a key role in society today. These civilizations had their own traditions and beliefs which made them all unique. The Greek, Mesopotamian, and Egyptian civilizations all had contrasting beliefs, religions, customs, traditions, and political views which made them all individually distinct. In the ancient Greek world, religion was personal, direct, and present in its citizens’ daily lives. During this time, they participated in animal sacrifices and offerings, created myths to explain the beginning of the human race and gave reverence to their gods by building temples which controlled the urban landscape. They also participated in local festivals and sporting and artistic competitions. Religion was never out of the presence of ancient Greece’s citizens. While they may have made up their own mind on the terms of their religious beliefs, some may have been completely confused if these gods actually existed. There were certain fundamental beliefs that must have been sufficiently widespread, in order for the Greek government to function. In ancient Greece, gods existed, they influenced human concerns, and they welcomed and responded to acts of godliness and worship.
The novel Animal Farm written by George Orwell, is about a group of farm animals who are inspired by the wise boar, Old Major, to see the discomfort in their lives changed for the better. The animals are made aware of their minuscule rations, lack of freedom and their enslavement. They choose to take action and rebel against Mr Jones. At first, the rebellion is successful but soon becomes corrupt and some animals become ‘more equal’ than others. This is shown when an animal hierarchy is formed and certain animals become more powerful than others. Corruption breaks out when Napoleon reduces rations except for himself and his fellow pigs. Napoleon soon makes himself superior to the others in a number of ways.

A lot of people would say that video games should not be considered A sport. But A Lot of people including me would say yes and here are three reasons why. One reason is that kids who are not good at sports and have never felt what it is like to win and they are only good at playing video games maybe having video games as a sport could mean that those kids would have a chance to feel what winning is like. Here Is some evidence, all kids should know how what winning feels like so they don’t feel like they are the losers or outcast of the kids that don’t know what it feels like when you win or get a trophy. Every little kid out there wants to know what winning feels like and what if they are not good at sports and only at video games could be there chance to get a trophy or to feel what winners feel like. A Lot of people say that video games are just for entertainment not for sports or winning and I would agree on that except for the fact that Video games have the power to considered a sport because it helps adults and kids by telling them that they are winners just by being good at video games and just by being himself and not having to get heart by trying a sport like football or baseball.
