Not one person is responsible for the death of the main characters, Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet. Juliet’s parents seem to not care about Juliet at all, they only care about keeping their families pride. In the book Juliet admits that she does not want to marry Paris and if her parents had actually listened to her she wouldn’t have wanted to figure out a way to leave the wedding. Capulet seemed to want the best for his daughter, but she didn't want to marry somebody she wasn’t in love with. and wanted to escape the marriage her father organized. But her plan of escape would result in death. Capulet's uncaring actions appeared in the first act, when he was planning a marriage between his daughter and Paris without her agreeing. Capulet also states "Of my child's love: I think she will be ruled. In all respects by me; nay, more, I doubt it not" (Shakespeare p. 79), that translates to “I think she’ll do whatever I say. No, I think she’ll do all that and more. I have no doubt about it”, which can seem a bit controlling. But, both Juliet’s and Romeo’s families can be responsible of their deaths because the tension caused between their families brought friction to Romeo and Juliet's decisions of who they love. Just as the Prince had blamed the families of Romeo and Juliet for their
Everyone has their different opinions on who is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet is about two people that fall in love from two different families who are in a feud with each other. Lord Capulet is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because when Romeo was at the Capulet part he didn’t let Tybalt do anything to make Romeo leave. Reason two is he is the one that planned for Juliet to get married to Paris without her consent. The third reason is because after Juliet says okay to marrying Paris (going along with the Friar’s plan), Lord Capulet tries moving the wedding day up to Wednesday instead of Thursday.

Romeo, Capulet, and Tybalt are the most responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s death. Romeo is responsible for their deaths because Romeo reacts too early and makes rash decisions. Romeo is to blame for the death of Juliet and himself because his intentions in the beginning of the story were of lust and not love. Romeo states, “Oh, she doth teach the torches to burn bright! It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night like a rich jewel in an Ethiop's ear, beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear. No one ever truly does wrong unless they are wronged by others. It can happen in any way shape or form. The most usual cases are if you’ve been bullied or abused. It could also be a corruption of the mind at a young age. Or maybe there was never anyone there to explain to you what was right and wrong. The second person I found responsible for Romeo and Juliet’s tragedy is, The Nurse. The first reason I chose The Nurse is, she knew that Juliet’s parents wanted her to marry Paris, she herself wanted Juliet to marry Paris. Paris was more mature than Romeo and wanted what was best for Juliet. Also, The nurse knew that Juliet’s parents would not like it if Romeo and Juliet got married because their families have been rivals for many generations. Lastly, The Nurse knew that Juliet wasn’t mature enough to know if she really loved Romeo they had only met a few days before and had barely knew each Romeo.
