American Civil Rights Activist Amelia Platts was born on August 18th, 1911 in Savannah, Georgia. She had nine siblings, of her parents George and Anna Platts. She had Cherokee and German ancestry. As a young girl her and her family attended church and she later became interested in Women’s Suffrage and started campaigning. Amelia had 4 children of her own.

Beverley Allitt is the worst serial killer there has ever been. First of all, she became a nurse to help and save people's lives. Secondly, she wanted to become the hero so bad that she starting poisoning her patients. Lastly, the worst part about poisoning her patients was that she preyed on very young children and babies. In short, Beverley killed young children by trying to prove that she was a hero but making the situation happen on her own time.
Ann Deborah Lynn knew she was born to be leader despite her circumstances as an African American in Lexington, Kentucky. Born October 3, 1810 to William Henry Lynn and Sarah Mae Lynn, her vision to be an inspiring Civil Rights Activist would be the biggest challenge of her life. Her father, William was a slave captured in Angola, Africa in broad daylight and her mother, Sarah was a daughter of slaves from Guinea. Free blacks in the South couldn’t express how they felt and wasn’t able to travel as freely as the free slaves in the Northern cities. Annie Easley was born on April 23,1933, In Birmingham Alabama. Easley and her brother were raised by thaier single mother Mary Melvin Hoover. Her mother was one of her greatest inspirations and her role model, she always encouraged her to get a good education. In an oral history interview with NASA, she said that her mother always used to tell her "You can be anything you want to. It doesn't matter what you look like, what your size is, what your color is. You can be anything you want to, but you do have to work at it." Annie Easley attended school in Birmingham and graduated as the valedictorian of her grade. Brenda Morehead-Campbell attended Toledo Public Schools and is a 1975 graduate of Jesup Scott High School. She started her athletic career as a track runner in the sixth grade at Fulton Elementary School. During high school, Ms. Morehead competed in many national championship track meets. She gained exposure to the international track level as a sprinter during her sophomore year of high school at the USA vs. Russia championship meet. In her senior year of high school, the State of Ohio had the first ever girl’s track meet where she won the 100 and 200 yard dash, long jump, and successfully anchored the winning 800-yard dash relay team.
Jane Addams was a Progressive reformer and famous advocate for the settlement house movement. Addams mostly focused on improving social conditions for immigrants and for other residents of urban slums. Jane Addams’s health problem caused her to become famous reformer. In 1881 she travelled many medical schools. In one of her journey she took her friend Ellen Gates Starr with her. They visited well known Toynbee Hall in London. The purpose of Toynbee Hall was to reduce urban problems such as poverty. This visitation inspired them to create one settlement house in Chicago. In short term their dream became true. White is an actress, comedian, author, and advocate. She exhibits many of the qualities of a twenty first century learner including, creativity and innovation, communication and collaboration, and social and cross-cultural skills. She has showcased these skills since before the twenty first century and shows them often.
Women have virtually the same rights as men. However, the fault needing to be recognized in today’s society is the way that women are treated. Even in simple areas, such as jobs, women are put on the back burner. A woman is able to become a CEO of a company, nonetheless, she will struggle twice as hard as a man would. Even as an employee, women are statistically paid less than men are.
