A. Attention getter: Why did the art student cross the road? Because she decided to pursue a more useful degree. I sincerely wish the cultural artifact I was here to present was a list of potential job prospects for graduating art students, but unfortunately, no such thing exists.

Coming into this class, I wasn't sure what to expect. Of course,I expected to be writing a lot but was unsure of the type of writing and the style. I was looking forward to writing challenging pieces that stretching me creatively as a writer. I wanted to explore how to express myself in my writing because it had been a long time since I'd written a creative essay. One of my main hopes for this class was challenging myself to become a better editor of my own papers. I often find it a tedious and laborious process to find and edit the grammatical errors in my papers. However, this is an important skill that I need to develop for my future as a successful writer.

Over the past few years, I have inconsistently shared the work occurring in my classroom. Years ago, daily posts on my now-abandoned classroom blog, reflections on my professional blog, and posts on my students’ blogs kept invested adults current about the learning taking place in my classroom. For the past few years, I have practically gone into hiding after moving my classroom from the blogs to Edmodo and then Haiku. I have allowed ambiguous student privacy expectations from my district and partner agencies to discourage me from posting learning to an authentic global audience. Before reading “Show Your Work” by Austin Kleon, I was only sharing my work through Instagram and practically stopped encouraging my students to share their work.

This is a reflective essay based on a event which took place in a hospital setting. The aim of this essay is to explore how members of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) worked together and communicate with each other to achieve the best patients outcome.

This essay is a reflective essay on my learning development from a young age through to my current position as a University Student. I will be relating my learning development back to two theories of human development, Vygotstsky’s socio-cultural theory and Marcia’s version of Erikson’s theory of identity development. I will identify and discuss the challenge I have faced with my identity and how this has impacted on my development.

I make lists, plan my schedules, organize my weeks, put sticky notes everywhere and set all kinds of alarms, and so I remember all the things I have to do during the week, particularly at school in a new place, where I do not know anybody or where anything is. Yes, I am that person, that have a little bit of obsessive-compulsive disorder. I am a very organized person, but there was one time I decided to postpone that project because I considered it was not that important and that I had enough time to finish it.

This unit does not introduce much new material. Instead, we expect you to integrate technical and theoretical knowledge acquired from study across your degree. We refer to two frameworks that may support you in carrying out this integration:

Vital signs are a fundamental component of nursing care and indicate the body’s ability to maintain blood flow, regulate temperature and regulate oxygenate the body tissue. Taking vital signs are essential in revealing any sudden changes in the body, which could potentially indicate clinical deterioration of the patient.

“You’ll never make a living as an artist,” a phrase I have heard nonstop from family, friends, and just about everyone growing up. A phrase I constantly told myself while trying to pick my major when I made the big transition in going to college. Coming from a family of doctors, veterinarians, and other various medical careers, it was almost unheard of to pursue a career in the arts. I explored business, advertising, teaching, and many other careers, but in the end, I decided to place happiness over wealthiness and I chose to go through with a career path in Visual Communication Design. Looking more into an art major and questioning if I had made the right decision, I learned that so many of the things people say about artists are just rumours or myths. In today’s society, artists are not starving, they are thriving and we need them to keep the world running. Unlike myself, many people decide to not get a job in the arts because they listen to the false claims of the people that tell them that they will become a starving artist and have no money. In reality, creative jobs are extremely needed in today 's society, and there are actually very many perks in pursuing an art career. Some of the many perks include, being known to make an average amount of money, have little to no decrease in job outlook, being statistically happier than other careers, while making others and the world around you a much more positive place.
