Red Panda
Introduction
The Red Panda is an endangered species that originated from Nepal. They are endangered because of habitat loss, fragmentation, poaching, and inbreeding depression.
Causes
The Red Panda's habitat, mostly Himalayan Forests are being cut down at an alarming rate each year. Usually they are cut down for logging or space to farm. Also, when spaces of forests are cut down that forces Red Panda to separate and mate in the same area which could lower genetic diversity within the red panda species. The destruction of the forests also lead to food shortages which can lead to some pandas’ starvation.

Effects
If red pandas became extinct, many negative effects would happen. For example the ecosystem at which the
This species of panda is around the size of a cat, and its habitat is the mountainous slopes of the Himalayas. It typically eats fruit such as berries from where it lives in the mountains. This panda also loves to eat bamboo and other things like eggs. This panda is a very beautiful maroon colored layered fur and has one stripe on its face. Unfortunately, this specie of panda is actually endangered due to habitat loss. The skin type of this panda is soft and thick fur covering its whole body.
Unfortunately, for the panda bear they are on a endangered list. There are several reasons that it is difficult for the survival of these bears. The females can ovulate during the Spring time, which becomes a very small window for growth. They are literally only able to ovulate 2-3 days a year. That's right. So, this is already a challenge for them. Plus, the female panda can only give birth to 2 and 1 usually dies.
and Yunnan Provinces of China. They are also found in suitable habitats in Nepal, India, and Tibet. (“Red Panda”) Over the course of the next century, the countries home to the red panda will experience changes from disasters associated with the increase of Earth’s temperature. Bhutan, home to many of existing
Ever since the trees got chop down the pandas population is going down the hole state has over billion people. Everything when roads are made, homes, cities, and even farms. They even, plant trees, and other resources. The giant panda shrank as trees has grow. The panda habit was decreased by a haft between 1972 and 1985.
First I will describe the red panda's habitat. A red panda's habitat consists of bamboo forests and grassy areas with lots of trees. They use trees to keep away from predators. Also, most of their food sources are in trees as well. They are common in areas such as Sichuan, Yunnan and other places in Asia. Red pandas are always on the move. They don't have dens or homes, so they find temporary holes in which they raise their young during their early stages. Then the red pandas pack up, and move again.
One of the reasons that giant pandas are going extinct is because they are
Red pandas are in danger of extinction and we need to help them at all costs. Red pandas have lowered to very small numbers thanks to an extreme amount of habitat loss and people poaching them their small little paws can't grab a hold of anywhere safe to leave. Plus, who wants a small, adorable, fluffy animal that keeps air and water clean to die off?
Did you know pandas have been on earth for 3 million years? The discovery of pandas was spreaded around the world about these ¨cat like creatures¨. About these creatures that were different than any other animal. Pandas are one of the most popular parts of China and attractions in China, but few zoos in China have pandas. Attractions meant to attract tourists and just regular people in general. Pandas are fuzzy , lazy, with white and black spotted fur.
The Ailurus fulgens (Red Panda) it lives in places close to China in the Himalayas. Ailurus fulgens is a omnivore it likes both meat and fruit. It mainly eats Bamboo, Berries, and Eggs. It is usually 24ins-47ins in size and the weight is 7lbs-14lbs.It is in endangered cause of humans killing their habitat. It has Red, Brown, and White fur.
To first understand this animal, it is known as the Panda, one must discuss its location. The first thing to mention is their early location. “Evidence of giant pandas in the Qinling mountains was first obtained in the mid 1800s by the Russian explorers Berezovski and Potanin, who brought back several skins purchased from native hunters, one of which found its way to the British Museum of Natural History in London”. (Cotton). The next thing to mention is their recent location. “The giant pandas has never, as far as is known, succeeded in colonising the western area of the red panda’s range, and is now restricted to the mountains along the eastern edge of Tibetan Plateau”. (Cotton). The last thing to mention is how the chinese
Red Pandas are an endangered animal. They are native to the Himalayas and China. They are a very interesting animal. It has physical features that many animals don’t. They have a interesting Biology and Behavior. They have a small diet.
Red Pandas are very small animals that typically grow to the size of a house cat (around 20-26 inches), but their tails usually add another 12-20 inches. Red pandas use their long, bushy tails to balance when they're in trees and as wraparound blankets when it is cold in the chilly mountain heights. As its name suggests, the red panda’s fur is predominantly a rusty-red color. It has patches of white on its ears, cheeks, muzzle and above its eyes. These markings blend in with red mosses and white lichens that grow on the trees where they live. Its bushy tail is ringed with light and dark forms of the rusty-red color. Its fur also covers the bottoms of its feet to help give it traction in the trees and prevent it from falling off of slippery
The chinese government was credited for this progress due to their panda reserves as well as limiting local impacts on panda habitats. The video discusses how the Panda is still not in the clear, but human conservation is surely helping to get them back on track with population growth. Although the Panda is having much success, the video tells that the case isn't the same for many other species, 200-100,000 to be exact, this amount of species go extinct each year. This interested me because I love animals, and panda’s are one of my favorite animal, they are super cute. Hopefully as we learn more about each species, and as more people continue to conserve endangered species, we could lower this
They are found inhabiting the temperate mountain forests on the slopes. The majority of their food is bamboo shorts but they also eat acorns, berries and grasses, along with grubs, chicks and birds’ eggs. The most distinctive features for the red panda is rusty colored thick fur and striped face. They are Endangered because there are less than 3,000 left in the world and they are dying because of their habitat loss. The skin type of the red panda is fur all over their body.
Giant pandas are among the rarest mammals in the world. There are probably less than 1,000 left in the wild. Although adult giant pandas have few natural enemies, the young are sometimes preyed upon by leopards. Habitat encroachment and destruction are the greatest threats to the continued existence of the giant panda. This is mainly because of the demand for land and natural resources by China's 1 billion inhabitants. To offset this situation, the Chinese government has set aside 11 nature preserves where bamboo flourishes and giant pandas are known to live.
