I notice one of the disadvantages with read/write style is not being able to learn due to limited or lack of instruction in visual if there no access to writing materials. An advantage of this style makes a person more self-dependent because of the note taking the process which equal self taught.
Kinesthetic style advantage is how an individual exposes to the faster learning process. This method consists of practice and evidence. The evidence is revealed and accepted with difficulty. Of course, practice mean learning. The disadvantage is when is always a chance there will not be any interactive with anyone or no place more for any live experience.
When I was reading Writing is Easy by Steve Martin, I was thinking if writing was actually that easy. Then I finished the article and realized that writing will never be easy. Mr. Martin examples on how to make writing easier make no sense. His tip to getting over writers block gets the writer nowhere. He says “got to an already published novel and find a sentence that you absolutely adore. Copy it down into your manuscript” (Martin). What he is saying is plagiarism. If I was to use this method to overcome writer block I would be thrown out of college. I still believe that writer block is real because even the greatest authors struggle with writers block.
Ashford University Writing Center states that a paragraph has “three structural parts: a point, information, and an explanation. Point is described as the topic sentence where the writer is making a claim. Information is considered the supporting evidence such as details, quotes, percentages, or other details to support the claim. Explanation is described as an analysis or interpretation of the claim and the given information. If you struggle remembering paragraph structure, just think about the acronym P.I.E. https://awc.ashford.edu/essay-dev-pie-paragraph.htmlThurgood
First, cursive writing helps people remember ideas better than typing. Pyschologists found students learned more if they handwrote notes nstead of typing them. It requires students to summerize ideas rather
While reading “The Writer’s Way”, I began to realize several aspects associated with the context of the material and my own experiences in the academic world (Rawlins and Metzger). The first connection I discovered came when I read section “two Learning Equals Changing” (Rawlins and Metzger 3). I am no stranger to “experiencing and reflecting” in any part of my life (Rawlins and Metzger 3). When I take part in conversations, I analyze the content for long periods of time. Contemplating what happened, the conversation, what I could have done differently and many other questions occur in the process. In an academic setting, sometimes I process the information the same, however, I am not consistent with such a pattern. Academically I have found
The first paragraph in the essay takes a form of a vivid description. It starts with a quotation of a teacher giving instructions to start an exam. Then the following phrases in the paragraph take a negative voice tone. The writer was worry about the exam, and he was sur that he is going to fail the exam. All these details make the reader hook to the essay and want to know why the test is a source of struggle for the writer, and why he thinks he is going to fail the exam.
We all long to write like someone else, maybe it is like authors such as Mark Twain , J.R.R Tolkien, Ernest Hemingway or Shakespeare- although I think the last one is much more like a dream than an actual aspiration-but I desire to write like Stephen King and Stephen Krashen , and even attain to imitate the manner in which they seem to analyze information, and translate such material in a form of a well-developed argument. As a consequence, it seems that the purpose of this summer assignment was accomplished , as according to Ms. Olaerts the purpose was to “give you an introduction to the kinds of reading you will see throughout the course and types of analysis that will be required of that reading.”
My reading and writing experience began when I was about 3 years old. Writing has always been my way of expressing myself. Up until about high school, reading was something I really enjoyed and even prioritized. If I had to read a book for English class, I wouldn’t be as excited to read it compared to a book I chose myself. I believe that strong reading and writing skills are essential if one wants a successful career. I hope to improve my skills while enjoying the material this year.
When I first signed up for University 101 back over the summer I thought that this class was a waste of time, and was just an easy credit. But I was wrong. University 101 ended up being my most demanding class and I was upset because I felt like none of the journals, activities, and discussions were useful or even worth my time. But I was wrong again. My UNV 101 class was different from the rest, it was different because I was a part of Opportunity Network. Opportunity Network has three instructors and I was very grateful to have Ms. Ebony to be my UNV 101 professor. Ms. Ebony and I became extremely close during this semester. Ms. Ebony encourage me to do nursing again ,even when I wanted to give up and start all over because I wasn’t doing

The previously mentioned recommended learning strategies for the very strong read/write learning preference of this student compare near-perfectly with the strategies currently in use. This student however, frequently incorporates visual approaches to writing by using different colored highlighters to categorize and connect different thoughts. Sticky notes, often having various bright colors, adorn books, periodicals, Bibles, and even the course syllabus for this class. Often when communicating in writing with others, words are circled followed by arrows that point to a reply the writer has written. Visual learning strategies are very important to this author’s success
One of the tips that has really helped me the when writing and improving my writing is, write your thoughts before organizing them. My mind flows when I am writing a paper or thinking about the topic and I sometimes forget to write everything down, so before I write a paper I sit down and really think about my topic, then I just write words and phrases that come to mind so that when I start my paper I have a general idea about what I want to write.
Throughout the progression of this course I learned countless things concerning my writing. {Simkin, M. G., Crews, J. M., & Groves, M. J. (2012). While it’s there’s a many amounts of things ‘ve learned throughout the course, there are several things I‘ve learned which include the step by step process, including the correct usage of grammar and properly proofreading my work before I turn it in. I found out i had a major problem with my punctuation usage and insufficient when it came my periods and commas. I’ve invested some time writing through grammarly and other helpful sites to improve my writing skills. I appreciate the assistance and help I received from Mrs. C
Throughout my high school career, I've learned a few things about myself and how I write formal and informal literature. one of the things I've learned was that, I write better papers when I have a strict guideline on how the paper should be formatted. A big issue I face when writing a paper without guidelines is, when I begin to type the essay, i have no structure to build off of. Being that structure is very important to me, another element that I must account for before starting an assignment is an outline. The outline assures me that I will not experience writers block while i’m in the stages of crafting my first draft. when it comes to different forms of writing, one particularly area I struggle in is analysis essays. the reason
In history each time period was known for something specific during the time writing is also like that. Between the late eighteenth-century and nineteenth-century, the writing style is in the romanticism period. This time. Produced many famous authors that are well-known today. Three major authors from this period are Washington Irving, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Edgar Allan Poe. These three authors are known for their poetry, short stories, and writing styles. Literary work from this time. Has character characteristics that are common in all three of these works. The most common primary characteristic that all three authors show in their work is “highly colorful plots and are often mythic (can involve fantastic exaggerated or unreality)”
In Up Front by Bill Mauldin one of the major themes is how important communication is during the war. Communication is a major factor when it comes to success in the war. Individual divisions need to be in contact with each other as well as family and friends at home. Bill Mauldin exemplifies this when he discusses the Stars and Stripes newspaper and 45th Division News in Up Front. Furthermore, a quote from the American General Dwight D. Eisenhauer and a propaganda picture produced by Winchester help support this theme. These three accounts together help show different aspects of communication in the war and how each is important. Although they all show different parts of communication for the war they all come together to show how it has changed the nature of American ideals.
