She dedicated her time and energy into this hospital. She even became the first Queen to visit the White House, hooping to bring attention to Hawaii. After overthrowing the Queen, the Committee of Safety set up a provisional government(The Overthrow of the Monarchy). This shows that they didn’t really care for the greater cause and only for themselves. This act didn’t really change much and the Committee of Safety is trying to stabilize their position by increase their power with their own government. After hearing that James Blount is telling them to give up power, the provisional government surrounded him. They later also made the Republic of Hawai`i to refuse giving up power with a blaming to Minister Stevens, pushing all the responsibility to him. The Committee of Safety will do many illegal and corrupt things for power. The main reason of why people support the overthrow is for economy benefits, which will help Hawai`i in advance, but Hawaiians aren’t doing great, so then the economy benefit doesn’t matter that much

In the childhood of Queen Liliuokalani, there were lot’s interesting facts about her childhood to her adult life. I thought she was just a great Queen of Hawai’i and had a great life. Princess Ka’iulani was a bright young member of the Hawaiian monarchy, most known for her impassioned protest against the overthrown and annexation of Hawaii, the country she was meant to rule. The young woman toured across America, speaking to both press and public about the unjust takeover of her kingdom by American businessmen. Although this further proved to be practically in vain, history has not forgotten the sympathy-inducing young princess who braved a country alone for the sake of her home.

In 400 C.E. the Hawaiian islands were settled by Polynesian voyagers. They had each island ruled by different chief’s and conflict was normal for them.At the same time they still had law’s and a class system not influenced by foreigners until captain cook arrived at Kealakekua Bay,hawaii in January,18,1778.But the most important person in Hawaiian history is king Kahmehameha he concord all the islands and became ruler of the whole island chain. Also he was an expert leader, politician, intelligent and caring about his subjects.
"Aloha Oe" did not give Lili'uokalani all of her fame. What did, of course, was the fact that she became a queen. The monarchy began with Kamehameha's conquering and uniting of all the Hawaiian Islands (Guzzetti 10). After Kamehameha's death in 1819, his son, Liholiho assumed the title Kamehameha II. During a trip to London to visit the King of England in the summer of 1824, Kamehameha II and his wife, Queen Kamamalu contracted the measles and both died. Kamehameha II's younger, nine year-old brother was proclaimed Kamehameha III. When he died in 1854, after a thirty-year
Queen Liliuokalani was born on September 2nd, 1838 In honolulu and her name before she was crowned was Lydia Lili‘u Loloku Walania Wewehi Kamaka‘eha. She was born from King Keohokālole and Queen Kapa‘akea. She was a very important unsung hero in the older days and still now. Her brother (Kalākaua) was made king 1874, but then passed away in 1891 which was the same year that Lydia Lili’u was made queen. Her first order of business was to give the Hawaiian people more power, but the local sugar planters, businessmen and woman, and the U.S. marines feared the influence of Queen Liliuokalani. They overthrew Liliuokalani’s Hawaiian kingdom and made her surrender it to the United States in 1893, then Stanford B. Dole was then made president. When
Aloha Aina is a political party formed by anti-annexationists who wanted to restore the Queen’s power or throne. However, on their first attempt of an uprising against the provisional government, they failed, and this resulted in the arrest of the Queen. The provisional government charged Lili‘uokalani for having the knowledge of treason and failing to report it, leading her having the sentence of a five-year imprisonment at hard labor and a $5,000 fine (Potter, Kasdon, and Rayson 163). Nevertheless, their second attempt, which was a petition of 21,000 signatures for opposing annexation succeeded, and was temporarily triumphant (Pitzer). Therefore, we know that many Hawaiians disagreed with promoting annexation, but they weren’t able to express their opinions since the provisional government controlled most of Hawaii’s power, leading to the Overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom to be unjustified to the
