Many heroes exists in todays world. Some are just fictional but the real ones are the ones worth mentioning. A true hero is a person who is willing to sacrifice everything for the well being of others. they're giving personalities cause them to give everything they can to help others. They are constantly in a race to fight for something beneficial to all.

In the first month in school I have learned a lot about heroism in literature and in real life. But the most important thing i’ve learned is that everyone can be a hero because hero can be likely or unlikely. Like the famous quote said, “Not all heroes wear capes”. The may be a funny quote people use in memes but it also applies to the real life. More heroes are likely to be ordinary people not people like superman.

Everyone wants to be a hero, but to be one you should fit certain criteria and possess specific qualities. First of all they should be a good role model and have a positive influence on others. This is important because good heroes have people who look at up to them and that are inspired by them. Terry Fox inspired people all across Canada to run/walk, the annual Terry Fox run. Second of all a hero should be determined. Having this quality allows you to stand up for what you believe and overcome any obstacle in your way. A hero who is determined won’t give up until he has succeeded. Terry Fox’s determination is what drove him to run 5,373km before his cancer spread to his lungs. When one thinks of being a hero what comes in mind is a few bold character traits, they must be able to push through the hard times in a situation life, put oneself at risk for other people, and have the will to do things and not be told or asked to do something. When people hear the word “Hero,” their minds instantly think of characters like spiderman and superman, people in flashy suits saving the damsel in distress. . . but do we really know the characteristics and true personality of a real hero? Every individual has a different perspective on what makes a person a hero, for it is not limited to a certain concept; determination, altruism and a hint of hardship and bravery can always birth a hero. Although many acts of heroism are seen and made everyday, the levels of these attributes vary. Abraham Lincoln and Harriet Tubman are both philanthropic, noble individuals that willingly spent their lives as abolitionists of slavery, and both are great examples of the highest levels of selflessness and heroism.

All three of these characters show that heroes don’t have to be perfect. My definition of a hero is someone tough, not just physically, but mentally, too. Bravery is also an important factor for being a hero. Another characteristic I see in a hero is the compassion and love someone might show, directly or indirectly, even though they might have a tough life behind what you see.

Can you imagine the world without heroes? Who would be the brave souls who lead us into the future? Who would ensure that all people are treated with equality and respect? Every society and every culture have special people who change the world for the better. These people are our heroes.

Have you ever been inspired by a hero because our technology today can make anybody a hero in an instant and can be applied today without much thought. We need to evaluate what it takes to be a hero and how they affect us. Heroes inspire us to improve our lives and make us a better person. Evidence suggests they determine the way we behave because we admire, adore, emulate them, place them in high regard and respect their accomplishments. Their qualities of courage, selflessness, humility, patience, caring, passion, integrity, honesty and confidence are all attributes that we all posses but it is whether we use them or not.

In order to be a successful hero you must be a highly motivated person. Without motivation you would not be very successful because you would have no ambition to try and make a difference in the world. I think Rodney Dangerfield is a great example of this because he started he career at just 15 and he died while he was in the middle of a movie. Also when his wife tried to make him quit he just blew their many years of happiness and divorced her. In one of his quotes he stated, “At twenty a man is full of fight and hope. He wants to reform the world. When he’s seventy he still wants to reform the world” (Dangerfield 3).

?During the past millennium, there have been many heroes that have helped society. All heroes have amazing qualities, but the three that make a true hero are intelligence, creativity, and leadership. Intelligence means the ability to be very smart and then to help others around them. Creativity is the ability to think “outside the box” or in a different, yet superior way. Leadership is the ability to lead in such a way that they help accomplish important tasks to help a community, state, or country. The hero who has used those qualities to their best ability was Winston Churchill which is why he is indeed a true hero.
