These kinds of heroes put others needs in front of their own needs so the end result will be for the greater good for everyone. These heroes stride for a better world so humankind can live in peace and harmony. They are self-sacrificing

According to the dictionary, a hero is “a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities.” I believe, however, that a hero is someone who exceeds expectations and does not stick to the status quo. Heroes will always try to do the right thing. They will put other people’s life above their own if they are given the chance to. This may include running into a fire to save someone, or helping a friend out if it is the right thing to do.

Heroes have different backgrounds, personalities, and journeys. A hero is someone who is willing to make sacrifices for others, making their lives a little better. Heroes are there for people; it’s what they do. A very big hero in my life is my mother.

To be a hero doesn't mean to wear a cape and a mask and have supernatural powers. Real heroes don't have to be superheroes. Most heroes are just average people looking to do right in the world. A hero also has many qualities among other things that help and let them be heroes.

Specifically examining the heroes throughout The Hobbit, Of Mice and Men, and I Am Malala; one can see how the characters have different characteristics that may make him or her a hero. To really characterize a hero, some traits that are necessary would be bravery and selflessness. A hero is someone who willingly fights for a cause or the greater good that may not directly affect them yet works to a better situation.

In early British literature, more specifically Beowulf, Sir Gawain and the Green knight, Lanval, and The Wife of Bath’s prologue and tale, heroism can be traced through three main aspects, bravery, loyalty, and strength. Finally, a hero is someone who has given his/her life to something bigger than oneself. Which additionally means that hero is an ordinary individual who puts themselves in danger for other people. And they find the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles. A hero can understand the danger that they're putting themselves into. Heroism exists everywhere, despite the time period or occurrence. Many people believe that heroism can only be one concept or a certain type of person, but heroism is all around us in all shapes and forms. A hero is someone who helps people in some way. They can risk something, even their own lives. Heroes improve the world and make it a better place for at least one person, or they can prevent it from being even worse. However, a hero is not someone who is utterly evil or someone who sits around all day, doing nothing.

There is no true definition of a hero, but mine is if someone goes out of their way to help people succeed at their goals. For me this person is Seth Harms. He helps where help is needed, and teaches to his best ability every day. During each day he is exposed to extremely hazardous conditions that can kill,(U.S. Department of Labor) but he does it anyway and that is a true hero.

A true hero is a person or character that shows courage and puts everyone if front of him. In many movies, the main character is usually shown as the hero, but I believe they aren't the only Heros in the story. When most people think of the word hero, they imagine a man with a suit who has a super power. That is not always the case though, as most true Heros don't need any superpowers or a suit. A simple man can be a hero by simply just helping someone.

When heroes come to mind we think of ordinary people who just save others. No that is not true but real heroes do more that that. A hero is a person who is self- sacrificing and unselfish.
