1.1 The difference of a working and personal relationship is boundaries, professional codes of conduct, employer policies and procedures. In your working relationship you would be friendly but with a different approach than you treat people in your personal life. Be reliable and dependable Do not form inappropriate intimate or personal relationships with individuals Promote individuals’ independence and protect them as far as possible from harm. Do not accept gifts or money from individuals or their family members. Be honest and trustworthy. Comply with policies and procedures or agreed ways of working. My line manager supplies a written support plan that has been designed to help the individual. It is my role to follow this and help the individual reach their goals.

3.1
It is essential that you work in partnership with all of the people surrounding the individuals you are supporting in order to ensure the best possible support and care is provided. This will include carers, families, CMHP's and other people who are play an important role in a persons well being. In order to work well in partnership, there has to be good, honest and open communication.

3.2
Ways of working that can help improve partnership working is careful listening, reporting all feedback, negotiate and compromise. Be clear on what you want and aspect from situations. Be mutual and fair. To resolve conflicts communication is the most important key. People may not be aware of the reasons for you feeling so telling people in an open and calm manner and letting it be discussed with the appropriate people. Having a mutual person there to help mediate the situation may help.
