My dimension of health that I want to change is my psychological health .A constant in my life is stress, I stress myself out to the point where I get sick causing my hands to shake and the worst of all stress sweat. Ever since I was little,I have always worried about problems that are “adult issues” or things that are out of my control. For example like my mother’s financial status or I would worry myself to death and then find out that everything was ok. My first semester I thought that I wasn't going to pass the semester. I would call home crying all day and wanting to go home every week, when it was time to check my grades I had all A’s and B’s. I guess what causes me to stress so much is events in my life and others that I can’t control.

Psychological research has had a fundamental impact on mental health in the UK, for instance, it has ignited new treatments and made the practices of organisations like the NHS more efficient. However, some may critique the impact research has actually had, for example, the change that has actually occurred because of research. Looking at the impact of research is vital because surely one of the main aims of research is to positively benefit patient’s lives. It means changes in the practices of health organisations are well-informed resulting in effective changes, improving efficiency of health organisations. There has been much research carried out into the stigma of mental health disorders, biological causes e.g. role of dopamine in schizophrenia and new therapies that have emerged- which will all be assessed.

Psychological factors can be related to many different problems, one problem that had personally affected me was the grades I got my freshman year of college. I started my college career struggling a little bit and often wondered how I could raise my grades and improve my GPA until I was satisfied with the grades I would get. Coming to college I was finally on my own with no one to wake me up, make me do homework, or go to class. These all led to my GPA not being exactly where I wanted it to be along with a number of psychological factors that have all been introduced throughout lecture and the readings. The four different chapters I can relate this problem most too would have to be those on stress, personality,
Sound mental health helps us to live our lives wholesomely and with a sense of well being. Though this seems to be an adult state of mind, how we have been brought up and conditioned through our growing years plays an important role. Mental strength means we are confident of dealing with anything that's happens. Chronic stress and anxiety is banished since we are confident of our ability to handle life as it comes. Even though life is uncertain we are assured that we can work it out. However, how many of us actually feel this way? Rather we find ourselves wondering and questioning if we will be able to manage life situations like our work, finances, families etc.
With mental health issues on the rise, it’s no surprise that college students would seek help that is free and readily available on campuses. Yet, despite the 9.5% increase of college students, especially in freshmen, not all college campuses make it known that students can seek help for free in the way of support groups or campus counselors (Aikins). Issues such as depression, anxiety, and eating disorders are going untreated in students, leading to students dropping out or turning to self-harm to cope with their emotions. With all of these issues treatable and more common today, it seems colleges would want to endorse the help they can provide. Most college campuses offer counseling, promotion of these resources are typically lacking on
What causes Anxiety Disorders? Well… the cause of anxiety disorders is unknown but anxiety disorders are not the result of weakness or a flaw in character (Anxiety-panic disorders guide). Scientists are still continuing their research on mental illnesses, however “it is becoming clear that many of these disorders are caused by a combination of facts, including changes in the brain and environmental stress,” (Anxiety-panic disorders guide).
Psychiatric Mental health is vital to an individual’s well-being yet too often it is overlooked. Regardless of economic status, ethnicity, age or geographical location an individual’s daily interactions and activities or the lack thereof are directly influenced by psychological and emotional well-being. Mental health and exposure to life stressors can significantly affect an individual’s ability and desire to attend school, work, and engage social interactions. If psychological conditions are not addressed they can result in physical health problems and lead to safety concerns for the individual as well as the general public. Despite the importance of mental health many refrain from seeking and obtaining treatment due to the social stigma and

Psychologically healthy means how we get around with dealing with life. Like how we are function in our life. Also to see how happy we are life and how it is categorize like being both mental and emotional with deal with problem or just trying to get threw the day. To have great psychologically heath it about how you manage your life situation and how you handle how good or bad things come your way. For an example, whenever someone say horrible rude things about a person character by how they look or speak. A non-psychologically would react quick and get up set. Unlike the psychologically person who would not pay much attention and ignore what person and leave happen and unbothered. This is something that I still need to work on still today.

“What we see changes what we know. What we know changes what we see.” Said by the famous Cognitive psychologist, Piaget. Studying Psychology is a process; therefore, in order to understand different perspectives studiers have to recognize them in the real world. When teachers are teaching, they are fully aware of a child’s cognitive development. They will not teach a six year-old the same thing that they are teaching a thirteen year-old. Also when adults are taking care of children, they usually use positive and negative reinforcements to correct a child's behavior, and not even realize it until they’ve studied this process specifically. Psychology perspectives are everywhere in world daily. In
