The job of project manager, as performed by Ron Barnes of CanDo Construction Ltd., is fundamental in making things happen, as he is responsible for winning and completing projects. To do this successfully, he must gather an accurate assessment of the competition through direct contact, past experience, or second-hand reports. He must also organize available material and human resources, and determine the timeframe necessary to complete all processes of a project.

The project manager will focus all the attention of managing the scope, budget and schedule of the project such that the risks are minimized and the outputs are maximized. The reports at every stage are essential for analysis of the project phase. Regular reviews and testing for each module will determine the re-evaluation of project such that the processes are controlled and monitored at every phase. Plus the soft skills help a PM to follow up and follow through each task while understanding the requirements from the business stakeholders. A thorough market research would give an analysis on the qualitative and quantitative research evaluation which will ensure any concerns that can be captured

At this point the scope of the project has been defined in detail and the project team are ready to be appointed. Although a Project Manager can be appointed at any stage of the project, s/he will need to be appointed prior to the establishment of the project team. The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project performance including: planning, budget execution, project execution, and close-out Funding.

Provides overall management to the project. Accountable for establishing a Project Charter, developing and managing the work plan, securing appropriate resources and delegating the work and insuring successful completion of the project. All project team members report to the project manager. Handles all project administrative duties, interfaces to project sponsors and owners and has overall accountability for the project.

The Project Management Institute states the stakeholders are individuals a group or an organization that have a vested interest or role a particular project and may also be impacted by the project (Morphy, 2017). The project stakeholders for the Winsome Manufacturing are divided into distinctly defined groups by departments. These departments can consist of design, production / manufacturing, sales purchasing and marketing (Morphy, 2017). The stakeholder’s responsibilities are to follow the instructions assigned by the department managers in order to complete the company’s goals for the manufacturing of the new storage bins (Morphy, 2017). The project manager has almost total authority over the members of her team in the projectized structure. She makes assignments and directs team members’ task efforts; she controls the project budget; she conducts team members’ performance assessments and approves team members’ raises and bonuses; and she approves annual leave.

Projects managers can also be known as the Public manager who works as a politician’s advisor because he has to account if the project was poorly implemented. He is always given the specific budget to cover the whole project and also fund his team which will be employed by him the project manger. He should be well trained and equipped on leadership, organizing and controlling skills.

Project Manager is responsible for performance measurement which includes finding variances between planned and actual work, cost and schedule. The project manager assigns the tasks to the team members and they follow the required course of action. The project manager provides the status reports to all the vital stakeholders in order to provide visibility. The Stakeholders review the metrics and variance and initiate necessary steps for the variances determined in order to complete the project within budget and time.

Project manager as the name suggests is the one who has to everything from start to end for a project and he has everything that goes on in a project is done under his supervision. He is the commander of everything and in the end if something goes wrong then he is the one who will be held responsible and not the workers or the labor or anything for that matter. So obviously being a project manager is not an easy task and cannot be given to anyone. To be a project manager you just don’t have to have the technical skills but also personal and professional skills. You should have motivational skills and you should know how to create a positive and friendly atmosphere at work. A perfect project manager would be the one who balances everything in the most perfect manner possible.

In today's business it is in the best interest of companies to have project managers. Common sense isn't always easily accomplished. Competent and knowledgeable project managers are indispensable to a business which is why there is a high demand for them in any business sector.

A project is one which has a start and end to it but for a project to start there is lot of planning is done much before the actual project is started, the project manager is the one who has everything on his shoulders from start to end and even after the end if further assistance is required to the client.
