Imagine all the things that would be accomplished if you never procrastinated. When you imagine a highly productive person, it’s amazing the lessening of stresses a person has or their ability to succumb to the pressure of procrastination. I know what it’s like to want to do certain things like, attending the gym or starting a dreadful 10-page paper that is almost impossible to begin. Yeah, I know what it's like to want to do these things but never have time for them. The struggle with being a college student, we have so many priorities that will distract us from doing our schoolwork. It will be simpler remembering what was taught in class, and it will be effortless to interpret the information. One thing I suggest is to create a to do list every day without putting too much information on it. If the information is lengthy it will be overwhelming and eventually procrastination will be the outcome. In addition, it will lead to accomplishing way less work than if planning a manageable number of tasks for that given day.

When I first evaluated myself in the study skill academic test, time management was my weakest skill overall. This was priority in terms of skill development because I would always leave things till the last minute and stress myself out trying to turn in things on time. In order to improve this I made a smart goal to carry out in the beginning of the year. Now after some time, the results of my progression are shown. My smart goal that I created for myself regarding my time management planned out very well, I was able to successfully accomplish a majority of my assignments on time. I would review the material of the week on Monday’s and compile all of the assignments due for the week. The monthly calendar was also a key factor in helping me keep up to date in the month so see what where upcoming tasks the following week. If I needed more clarification on certain tasks then I would login and check the syllabus.

Poor time management affects every area of a person’s life, especially a college student. Time management has always been very challenging for me. Setting aside time to study can be tough when I have a busy schedule. Most nights, my schedule consists of doing laundry, washing dishes, and completing other simple house duties. I try to sit down and focus on homework but those chores that need to be done are in the back of my mind. I have two dogs that are also quite the responsibility.
