In this course I plan to complete four assignments; I will complete the play resource, Journals, extended reading, and curriculum reviews. I chose to complete the play resource assignment because I think playing is best way to educate the children. I would like to read more about playing resource to have deep knowledge about this critical technic to educate the children. In addition, I select the weekly journal because I would like to summarize my field experience in order to know my strength and weakness skills. Therefore, I can develop my weakness skills during this semester and the following semester. Also, I chose extended reading because I prefer to read more than present. It is good opportunity to extended my knowledge in my major,
The learning outcomes are important. There has to be a reason on why something is being taught, and how it will be useful to the students future. Throughout the paper, I’m going to give you an example of a lesson plan I
The philosophy of the primary school where I work is that every child's unique needs and abilities should and must be honored. Children's different learning needs and styles are incorporated into the curriculum. On an informal level, teachers are encouraged to make use of lesson plans that utilize different types of media and methods of evaluation. Lesson plans often make use of visual and kinesthetic aspects of the learning experience as well as more traditional methods that emphasize mathematical, spatial, and verbal intelligences.
In part 2, I will provide a critical reflection on my own teaching practice during recent placement by making detailed connections to an appended lesson plan.
Within the planning of lessons the teacher needs to identify the necessary resources to be used, they will also need to adapt and develop the learning activities to suit the requirements of different groups and for
This was by far the most challenging course that I have encountered while obtaining my Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from UCMO. That is not a negative comment as this course has actually impacted me professionally more than any other course I’ve taken to date. This course has taken more time to complete the assignments, more of my attention to detail, and more of my creativity. The last point was the best part about this course. I consider myself to be fairly creative and this course definitely allowed me to do that while bringing my somewhat odd personality to a professional forum. For this I am grateful. Let’s get to the good stuff, shall we?
Outline of Lesson Plan: This lesson can be divided by the teacher into two days of instruction and reflection on the part of students and their teachers, with the option of a written homework assignment after Day 1 and the possibility of adding an additional day devoted to peer review and revision of the culminating writing assignment.
By doing Module 1 of this course I had opportunity to think about my career as a teacher. In order for me to improve learners’ learning I have to create for them appropriate environment using different teaching strategies in which every learner feels respected and safe. Learners need to know that learning has a purpose and what they are learning it is relevant to their lives. Also it is important to provide them with feedback regarding their progress on what they are trying to achieve, how far they are from the goal that was set. And how to achieve all I have to keep on trying new things and improving teaching skills. The actual teaching, classes I attended for this course gave me opportunity to better myself as a teacher. I learned about teaching principals from our teaching classes, later applied my knowledge in my actual teaching practice and also learned about teaching ideas through the web. From all these I understood that my development as a teacher should never end because teaching is a part of a life-long

The Module 2 is covering Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) Standards’ Standard #7: Planning for Instruction. Oh, I have a long list of questions related to objectives and lesson preparations. How to determine which parts to teach? When should I teach them? Are there any guidelines? Will I be able to choose books to use for the unit? Do I decide what is necessary and what is not? Planning is part of the job. I have no problem with it because I thrive from precision and planning. However, the amount of planning is excessive – to a novice. I have to check with the curriculum of my school district and the State. Also, I will have to ensure that my lessons abide the federal/state laws. But, that does not stop there. I have to acknowledge my students’ needs. There are several steps to validate my teaching.
The curriculum allows a flexible approach and therefore the teacher can involve the observed interests of the children and the current issues that they face in their planning. In this way, activities are adult directed yet
The most important information in this article is teachers should focus on what children enjoy, and why they enjoy it. Also, they should give attention to children’s educational development, and give courage to children’s social and moral development.
Through my time and experiences at Goodhue, I expect to gain a knowledge of the teaching profession, as stated in the course objectives. Through working with children I will be able to get a feel for not only working with children, but for teaching students based on their individual needs. My experience will help me learn my responsibilities as a future educator and how to create the best learning environment and experience for my future students. As stated in the course objectives I will also learn the foundations of education, how others teach and I will also develop my own method of teaching through my community partnership project. During my time at Goodhue I will be able to gain a knowledge of student achievement, learn strategies to teach
Developing a curriculum is a difficult process, moreso when an educator has to keep in mind the number of students they are trying to reach. At the secondary level, it is not uncommon for a teacher to be responsible for 150 or more students. Each of these students presents a unique and trying task for educators who want to help students learn. Students have different modalities for which they gain knowledge, and it is the teacher’s job to engage those
Analysis of the three identified stages stated on the lesson planner shall take place within this assignment. Links will be shown between the teaching methods that were incorporated in this lesson planner which met particular learning characteristics, traits and needs of the group or an individual(s) and relevant educational and theoretical principles. The lesson planner has been placed in the appendices, as a referral resource, for this assignment.
The activities involved in this plan require children to work as an individual, pairs and as a whole class, however these activities are flexible and could be changed to suit different grouping.
