On Sunday afternoon, the Philadelphia Eagles opened up the 2016 regular season against the Cleveland Browns. While all the attention was on rookie quarterback Carson Wentz, who was making his NFL debut. The Eagles' wide receivers stepped up big time, leading them to a 29-10 victory.
To begin the game, the Eagles received the ball first and it was a perfect opening drive for Wentz and the offense. On the first drive, Wentz went 4-for-5, finding tight end Zach Ertz for a ridiculous one-handed 14-yard catch on first down and ending it with a 19-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Jordan Matthews.
After the Eagles' offense scored on the opening possession, it was time for the defense to flex their muscles. The defense forced the Browns' offense into back to back 3 and outs, giving the ball back to Wentz and the offense.
