"Climate change is predominantly caused by human expansion of the greenhouse effect—warming that results when the atmosphere traps heat radiating from Earth toward space. One of the main gases that contribute to the greenhouse effect is known as carbon dioxide (CO2). When we burn fossil fuels like coal to generate electricity, we emit copious amounts of CO2 into our atmosphere, which results in many devastating effects to our earth. Many people don’t believe in climate change and deem it as unimportant because they are afraid to face the consequences. Let’s face it, climate change is the biggest threat to our planet and we need to address this issue, fast!
The US and China are the world’s largest non-renewable energy consumers. In China, their

Well, let me tell you, a lot! First, we can start by eliminating the use of hazardous fossil fuels. This might seem impossible considering nearly every product we use is made from such “fossilized sunshine.” However, fossil fuels are considered non-renewable resources, which makes them exhaustible. We will inevitably move towards renewable energy, so why not start now, and save all the unnecessary losses. We can start by adding a carbon tax, and I don’t mean more taxes. Instead of having payroll tax we can shift the tax to carbon. By putting a tax on carbon, we force people to consider the negative effects that result from emitting carbon. This way people will be more reluctant on producing it. Once that is in effect we can introduce solar energy. Yes, you might think “the sun doesn’t shine 24/7” You’re right. That’s why we have Gigafactories. In these factories, Tesla batteries are created to store the solar energy. To transition the entire world into sustainable energy we will need only about 100 of these Gigafactories. What better way to reverse climate change! There are countless solutions to climate change. While you wait for the substantial changes to occur, we can start on the minor changes. Drive less, recycle more, and move closer to work. A small step can lead to a dramatic difference. Reversing the course of climate change will not be easy, but the tools are in our
Abstract: The pressing issue of climate change is attributed to both human and microbial activity. The latter is often overlooked because the media places heavy emphasis on human actions, such as burning fossil fuels, to be the drivers of global warming—some have gone so far as to label this epoch “The Anthropocene.” While humans do impact the environment, it is inappropriate to call it “The Anthropocene” because it undermines microbes’ relationship with the soil, and the centrality of their role in ecosystems. Therefore, the solutions I offer to mitigate climate change, and its consequences such as famine and spread of diseases, consider the interactions between the biotic and abiotic worlds. In this speech, I also discuss how my actions would attempt to alleviate climate change issues, and how the measures the UNFAO takes would increase everyday social responsibility. The UNFAO should 1. Promote no-till agriculture 2. Fund research to develop technology to improve power plants and 3. Subsidize public transport.
Climate change is a huge problem in this world today. The effects it has on the environment are long-lasting, widespread, and detrimental to the planet's health. It affects various life forms all over the planet, and the effects are starting to show today. However, efforts to stop or control climate change’s effects have been expensive, making efforts to solve the problems associated with climate change hard to justify. The debate over whether or not the protection of the environment is worth the potential destruction of developed economies still continues on to this day.
The disasters of global warming struck the entire earth community. From the last century, our motherly earth rises 1 degree celsius on its average temperature (logos--Number and statics). People are having terrible heat stroke and other health problem like headache and fever. And according to World Health Organization in 2010, more than 135000000 people’s health suffered from this extreme misery from days to days (logos--Number and statics).
Specific Purpose: To inform my audience about the growth of climate change worldwide and the source of its cause.
A. Attention Getter – The uninhabitable Earth, is what we`ll soon be called. Anticipating what the exact effects will be on mankind and other living organisms on planet Earth is tricky, however, a continuously growing amount of evidence suggest that it will be intense. In its Fifth Assessment Report, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a group of 1,300 independent scientific experts from countries all over the world under the auspices of the United Nations, concluded there's a more than 95 percent probability that human activities over the past 50 years have warmed our planet.
The coasts are flooded, heatwaves beat down on the land and violent storms destroy cities. This isn’t an action movie this is a reality if nothing is done about climate change and global warming. I’m talking to you, United States Legislators, Something must be done about this crisis in the making, now before it gets out of hand. The United states is a world leader and if we implement strong climate change legislation and regulations it will start to make the US a safer and healthier place to live then the world will follow. Though many may say there is no scientific proof of climate change and global warming and try to discredit even its existence, this is flatly not true. The scientific consensus on climate change, is resounding agreement that climate change is real and that something needs to be done fast. The evidence is overwhelming and the effects on our country is already showing. This is a wake up call to the US legislators. Something must be done to help preserve our great nation and keep it from going to ruin.
Question “Do you know that using cars for the planet is like smoking cigarettes for people?”
Our planet faces a future of extreme weather so whether you call it Global Warming or Climate Change the effects are the same. We have seen our planet is getting hotter and increasing the chances of weather disasters. We have witnessed record heat, droughts, severe storms, and fire already. When connecting the dots between climate change and the effects we are seeing with the weather and health, the lines are clear. Our Earth is saying something but it is up to us to listen and pay attention to the signs. But why should we care about one degree of warming? After all, the temperature fluctuates by many degrees every day where we live. I will explain this all to you.
As Earths average temperature increases every year, the discussion of climate change has become a significant topic in the scientific community. Human activities such as powering factories, running automobiles or something as simple as burning wood for heat, emit dangerous greenhouse gases. What makes these greenhouse gases so detrimental is that they absorb the heat radiating off of Earth and keep it in the lower atmosphere creating a “blanket” of warmth around the Earth’s surface. This causes a drastic increase in the Earths average temperature. Due to the rise in temperature, the polar caps have been melting faster than ever, this is dangerous not only because of the risk of floods and sea level increase but ocean water will become less saline and ecosystems will be destroyed, impacting humans just as much as marine life. In the article, Understand faulty thinking to tackle climate change by George Marshall, Marshall states that most people in our world today do not care about climate change because it will not affect them, “Which points to the real problem: climate change is exceptionally amorphous, … no deadlines, no geographic location, no single cause or solution.” (Marshall 2014). Because the author makes it clear that climate change is indeed a great plight, and fails to be acknowledged by people, it is a significant matter that should be discussed
Did you know that the United States is the second largest contributor of CO2, and the less concerned about it? Climate change has been a problem for decades, but just recently we start to see how big of a problem climate change is, and can be. Climate change is one of the biggest problems that we are facing right now, even if keep trying to act like is nothing. Everybody, the people, the government, and big companies are a big contributor of this phenomenon. The more we keep denying its effects, the more we are going to regret it later, and going to wish that we could go back and try to fix the issue. You going to know one day, and its going to be late. Climate change should be the U.S government main focus this decade and the ones to come. Climate change can affect a country in every way economically, destroyed …., cause a lot of deaths.
In order for us to help the wildlife during global warming we need to decrease the amount of pollution we put in the air. We can do this by reducing the amount of energy we use and how many times we use our vehicles in a day. We could also stop littering and start recycling. Land development is also a cause. All of these ways can lead to deterioration of certain species’ habitats. This is a serious problem and i want to persuade and and inform you what we can do to stop it and how it is affecting everyday life lives all the way to to the littlest things to the biggest thing. Global warming is growing at a faster and faster rate. Society thinks global warming is not a big deal and is okay with it. Nobody should be okay with this. Global warming is a horrible way of how we treat yourself, our planet, and the animals.
B) Also instead of turning up the heat when your cold, put on an extra layer of clothes. Again you'll be saving energy and money.
I really appreciate all of the work you're doing spreading awareness about climate change while doing your own part to combat it. In this day and age, our work to change the course of our currently unsustainable civilization is more important than ever. That's why we must be very careful when discussing the changing climate and the repercussions that spring from it. Most conversations about climate change focus on the major problems that are going to occur in the future as a result of current human practices. Yet, it is evident that these changes are wreaking havoc in the present world that we all inhabit. That is why the narrative on climate change must change. Not only is climate change real, but it is impacting the earth in devastating ways at this very moment. Climate change should be treated as the atrocity of today, not the possible problem of the future.
form of prevention of harm or an overall direct benefit to themselves. Having a personal stake in the issue of climate change can make people more receptive to adaptation. For some, the strategy of convincing them of the importance of leaving behind a good planet for the next generation (their children) can be a strong motivating factor. For others, the reduced electricity bills associated with living a sustainable lifestyle are enough of a motivation. These people, though they may care about the environment, are more likely to be convinced if their personal lives are affected rather than for the reason of global benefit.
Climate change has been pressing issue in the world for quite some time now. Early it was known more aggressively as global warning but most recently it has been considered as climate change. But over the years there been many different perspectives and viewpoints on the issue. Some nations don’t even think about in their quest to become a developed nation. Certain Developed nations have taken great strides into preventing climate change. Other Developed nations are aware of what’s happening to the planet but haven’t taken too many decisive in Preventing climate change. But why do different nations have different perspectives on climate change? Recently the United States has been weak on climate change to ensure jobs, but many are critical of Recent Presidents trump climate Change policy and Europe is leading the way combating climate change with Paris agreement.
