Dear Mrs. Fernandez, I do hold two sessions with struggling students on my roaster because I have to differentiate instruction using various teaching methods to meet their needs. Most of them need review of directions, extra time, removal of distractions, shorten assignments and visual clues. I teach Torrence McCray in a 10 by 12' room with 5 more children. The removal of distractions is almost impossible.Bryan Guillen requires review and repetition of directions in every task. And the same goes with most of them. Also taking into consideration commuting time and costs I find it much more practical. It is a cautious way to assure completion of the hours foreseeing vicissitudes as sickness, vacations and weather conditions. On top of these
I don’t have a steady classroom. I have different students throughout the day. I usually have between eight and 12 students at a time. The class is small so I can have “eyes in the back of my head” and give students the attention they needs.
Thank you so much for having me at the Taylor Hatchery again. I plan to be able to get down there and start sampling by the end of next week when we are able to get our sampling kits. I wanted to write to you to ask what day would work best for you to have a phone meeting with Dr. Hirschberg and myself. I want to make sure that everyone is in communication around this summer project. Dr. Hirschberg also expressed an interest in having another trip down there and was wondering what day would be at the most convince to you. I do not want to bother you during your busy days.
I hope this email finds you well. I know you all are swamped with the start of the new school year. Have you decided which days that you and Ms. Dobson would like me at Lincoln Annex ? As well as which particular subjects? I know previously we discussed the social and emotional learning and the health courses that Hayley did last year. Also, were you able to send a letter of introduction to Lincoln Elementary school about FoodCorps?
I genuinely appreciate you addressing your concern about the owls. I am writing to you to inform you that I will do everything in my power to make sure that no burrowing owls lose their lives in the construction of the next Mother Paula’s Pancake House. Now that this issue has been brought to my attention, I assure you, it will not be forgotten. At Mother Paula’s, all customer concerns are handled with utmost care and consideration. We will take all the necessary steps and precautions to make sure that no owl is left behind.
Good day. This letter comes to you as a notice that our Church Cookout is approaching (8/14/16). I hope you all are ready for Sunday Fun Day in the park. The event will be held at North Point State Park during our regular service hours. We the committee are asking that all ministry leaders and members please! donate $40.00 as it was approved by Pastor Holder. All donations will help provide the food, drinks, paper goods and anything else we may need. We are asking that all money be turned in no later than Sunday (7/3/16). If you have any questions please see Trustee Chrissy Hazzard.
Tutors also need to consider their own ability to use the equipment and there may be budgetary constraints to consider. All resources need to meet the session objectives.
An easy and not so problematic way of getting a better learning process is more one on one tutoring. Kids are being placed in classes together and not all of them learn at the same rate. One child might understand something without complications. Yet, the other might not understand a simple step. With classes with various amounts of kids, not all of them are able to get the attention needed to figure out that one step. If each of them were walked through the process of things individually, there would obviously be a better chance of understanding the content. Arun Alagappan properly stated
You have been gone for so long and I miss the sound of your voice, your gentle touch, and the way you hold me and make me feel safe. Right now I really need that, here in the states people are going crazy and there is mass hysteria about communism. I do not feel safe anymore in our home, I fear that our kids will be persecuted like everyone else and you will not be here to protect us and save us. Senator John McCarthy has “brain washed” everyone into thinking that people who are communists are evil and bad. He says anyone could be a communist and now people are accusing anyone and everyone of being a communist. It is funny, before you left we read
In 2014, “groundwater makes up 60 percent of California’s water use” (Governor Brown Changes, 2014).
This is the one technique that cannot be “over-used” in my opinion as it can potentially lead to other inclusive learning techniques such as discussions and exercises. However, a drawback is the timing of this technique, I have found that the “graveyard” sessions are the ones where the responses will not be as detailed and cohesive such as using at Monday first thing to recap last week or Friday afternoon to recap the whole week. As a teacher I have found that persistence is the best solution here and no matter what the time is, as teachers you have constantly reinforce the information they have learnt back to the learners.
Lawrence also started a lesson using an active board by having sample problems on it and students were called on random to answer the questions. The students seemed to respond to the lesson very well. There were some students who decided to have their own conversation instead of doing their lesson so Mrs. Lawrence call on the students to get their attention; however , they did not respond so she politely walked over to the group and said something to them and they stop talking completely. For the most part these students looked like they were having fun while learning. Many were helping each other count while some were holding up fingers. After this hour and a half of observation, I wanted to interview Mrs. Lawrence concerning on lesson plan development.
On the behalf of Department of Public Health (California), I am writing you urge your support for the legislation about rising the legal age of smoking from 18 to 21. I am constituent/voter in your area and I think it is necessary that you that issue of smoking at 18 or less than 18 is very important for the public health because there is a huge increase in population of teenage smokers in California.
When asked about how this impacts her instruction and instructional time, she said greatly. She alters most everything for each student and group that they are working and developing at his or her level and pace. She mentions that it can be difficult to meet all of the student’s needs with just her in the classroom and only 15 minutes a day with the support staff for their grade. However, she has seen great improvement with students as the year went on.
Some teachers have up to 30 plus students per class and up to 6 or more classes each day. This can pose a challenge with the teachers on how effectively they can work with students on a one-on-one level. Unfortunately, a situation can also arise in which the teacher does not necessarily bother with teaching students and are not bothered if they begin to fall behind.
During my observation time in a kindergarten classroom, I have noticed that the students have a wide variety of abilities, attention spans, interests, and love for learning. When it comes to the teacher’s instructional strategies, she intentionally takes into consideration all of the above characteristics to make sure each student gets what they need to be most successful. During lessons students are engaged because of the teacher’s ability to implement interests of the student’s into things and giving them options. If an error occurs during a lesson, the teacher normally, allows for the student who got something wrong to try again, or to call on a friend to help them out. This way the students are still giving the answers and not the teacher just telling them the information. The teacher chooses a lot of small group instruction and centers where she can work with a small group, but then, easily monitor all the other groups to make sure they are on task and doing their work.
