Foodcorps Persuasive Letter

The GAO received a voicemail from Charles Delarue this morning. The GAO is aware that Mr. Delarue has had multiple contacts in both Clackamas and Multnomah county trying to access services, however I am reaching out to you as it appears he is in the Clackamas area. In his voicemail, he informed us that phone will be shut off tomorrow night, 11/24/17, as he does not have money to pay for his phone bill. Mr. Delarue, states that without his phone, and access to services he will die.

I am Mary Vang a first year 8th grade Sallisaw Middle School AVID student. Thank you for all the support you have given AVID. This program means a lot to me and your support has meant a lot for my AVID companions and me. Without AVID, I wouldn’t have seen my future farther than graduating high-school. To the student government of Hudson High School, I would highly suggest that you invite Elizabeth Holmes. I have met her with my father and I found her very inspirational. She takes very little blood samples to detect diabetes. She was very successful in her work and I think that she could give some very good advice. When I went with my dad to go visit her, My dad and her talked, when they were done he said that she gave him tips to work on in his medicine and on his website. Mrs Holmes attended stanford and as a freshman she worked along side of her professor, the phd, on her project. The school gave her lots of money to go on and keep working on her project.

Dear Mrs. Fernandez, I do hold two sessions with struggling students on my roaster because I have to differentiate instruction using various teaching methods to meet their needs. Most of them need review of directions, extra time, removal of distractions, shorten assignments and visual clues. I teach Torrence McCray in a 10 by 12' room with 5 more children. The removal of distractions is almost impossible.Bryan Guillen requires review and repetition of directions in every task. And the same goes with most of them. Also taking into consideration commuting time and costs I find it much more practical. It is a cautious way to assure completion of the hours foreseeing vicissitudes as sickness, vacations and weather conditions. On top of these

Would you like to have no decisions on the healthiness of your food, and being able to only eat fast food, fried foods, etc. Most people would say no and rightfully so, people should be able to have choices on the foods they want to eat whether it’s healthy, unhealthy, fast food, farm grown, we shouldn’t have only unhealthy foods for our choices of what we eat. In the film Food Inc. directed by Robert Kenner there is a part in the movie that talks about the food choices of consumers. A point that was talked about for a decent amount of time in this part was how healthier foods are more expensive than fast food. This stood out to me because it’s true it cost more to eat healthy than it does to just go through a drive through. This is outrageous it should be the opposite, we should have to spend more for fast food than healthy foods. While at most fast food places there are ways you can eat healthy food but it is still more expensive than just buying a cheeseburger or chicken nuggets. During this part of the film a family was talking and saying that they have to choose whether to eat healthier food or get there father/husbands medicine so he could work. A family has to choose between those to things and that is not fair to anyone that has to make that decision. The family wanted to have better food and to not always be eating fast food meals but they don’t really have a choice and that is heartbreaking to see.

I am going to be running people from 9 till noon on Thursday. I can run you through the study at noon if you would like, but of course feel free to show up whenever you can.
