The United Nations classifies a Refugee as anyone who is forced out of their country due to fear of persecution due to any of several reasons: race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion (“The 1951”). Every nation that belongs to the United Nations is legally obligated to protect these people if they find their way into anothercountry. The only way that these people can be deported is if severe conditions are met which make it unlikely that they will be sent back to their country of origin (CASSIDY). Many would argue against whether we should take these people into our countries; some of these people are in high positions or potentially high positions, such as Donald Trump in America or Milos Zeman in the Czech Republic. The simple fact is that we not only have a legal requirement to protect these people if they arrive into our …show more content…
The biggest of these are why do these people keep fleeing, even after having escaped Syria or Iraq? Would they not end up in places such as Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Lebanon, or Jordan first? The simple answer is that they are, however just by virtue they continue past these areas does not automatically transform them from refugees to migrants as some would argue. Even though it seems like the majority of these people are fleeing to Europe the fact is that nearly all are fleeing to and staying in the neighboring countries. The most shocking statistic is that there are nearly 1 and a half million Syrian refugees living in Lebanon; this would mean that approximately one in every four people living there are refugees. It is completely unsustainable to have a quarter of a country's population be displaced people, and that is why many continue past these neighboring countries with the goal of going on towards Europe. While they are safe from terrorists and dictators, they are not safe from starvation in these countries
The school principal and assistant school principal from South Forrest Attendance Center met with Tristen and his teacher after comments made to her. Ms. Bailey stated during the meeting, Tristen told them he is not allowed to say the word "mom" at home or Gina will go to jail or the family will have to find a new place to stay; Tristen told the reporter Gina is not suppose to be in the home. According to the reporter, if Tristen or his brothers tell anyone Gina is in the home, their father will whip them with a belt or wooden back scratcher. The reporter stated she was told that law enforcement has been involved with the family and Mr. Landrum is hiding Gina. Per the reporter, on 04/16/16, Bradford watched dirty movies; the movies had women and men acting in a sexual manner.
The negative side of uncleanliness at Magic Mountain develops into unhappy guests who may not ever return. If the guests do not return, there is a decline in profits. Magic Mountain is already experiencing this situation and there has been discussion about going out of business.
The term refugee has been used a lot lately in the news and other media outlets. As Americans when we hear or think about a refugee, we always think of others. We think of the displaced Syrians and the children of war in Africa, we think of refugees from Afghanistan and those migrating here from the Middle East fearing prosecution of their oppressed governments; hardly ever we give a thought of such term in association with an American. Our responsibility as global citizens in the Middle Eastern refugee crisis is to take in how the origins, beginning of their journey, foreign immigrant policies, and U.S immigrant policies all come to the point where we should not take in more refugees.
People are coming into our country because they are in danger from war in there country, right away you would think that it is good to let them in because we are all safe, you would think were all safe at least, but i'm showing that refugees shouldn't be allowed in because they could be terrorist, they could and are bringing in illnesses, and camps are expensive and they cost you. This refugee crisis is so significant because it is happening right now and it is affecting people all around the world and it could so dangerous that if they came to our country and they were near you it could be very dangerous.
Why spend money that is really needed for other things? Why live uncomfortably? Why be trapped in this hole called a home that belongs to another person? Why not live free and peacefully? When a person rents he or she usually throws away money that could be used to purchase something that belongs to them. Money is not easy to come by so why pay out hundreds toward something that is not benefit to the person paying it out. There is no good explanation for making a decision like this. The best option in a situation like this is to buy a house. Buying a house is a better option than renting an apartment.
The current refugee crisis is a serious issue. There is no doubt about it. The problem is that there are a large number of refugees attempting to enter this country, so that they can corrupt it with their un-Australian nature. They are not, as Tony Abbott would say, on Team Australia.
With the thousands of Syrian refugees fleeing from their homes to seek asylum in better conditions, the United States prefers to not let them come into our borders. Even though the United States did let some Syrians in a few years back, there are many ideas supporting the reasoning’s to why they prefer to not continue letting these Syrians migrate here.
Refugees should be allowed into the United States under certain conditions only, including a positive background, Eligible for a job and will respect our nation as well as the people in it. Just imagine that your little town is being attacked or even a natural disaster may be occurring and having nowhere to go, what would you do? How would you survive? By the US starting to turn away refugees thousands of people's lives are being taken away when we could easily be helping them out by taking them into our country and helping them out. Sure some people that enter the country might commit crimes but regardless that doesn’t just mean we should turn all of them away it would cause way more harm than good. All of those innocent lives are just
In the first place, refugees should be allowed in the US because they need a safe place to be where they are not killed or held hostage. With so many groups fighting in Syria, it is easy to get caught up in the conflict. In Syria “the full-blown civil war has killed over 220,000 people, half of whom are believed to be civilians. Bombings are destroying crowded cities and horrific human rights violations are widespread.” Most of the refugees fleeing Syria are women and children who aren’t even involved in the conflict. With the innocent citizens that
Continuous changes in the world’s economy have forced companies to go beyond their commercial purposes and pay attention to the importance of social actions. One of the first scholars to initiate the requirement of social initiatives for corporate enterprises was Bowen (1953). He argued that businessmen should aim broader than just maximizing profits for shareholders and should contribute to the society as well (Carroll, 1999). Eventually, more scholars performed research on a firm’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) and tried to define this new insight. A few decades later, Elkington (1997) introduced the term ‘Triple Bottom Line” (Carroll, 1999). He referred to three dimensions that could be impacted by a company’s system and policy,
For the last couple of years, we have been attacked with horrible news about the world beyond our borders. A big part of the terror includes the refugee crisis the world is having. This situation is not getting any better, it’s getting worse every single day. Actual refugees are a unique group of people who have been persecuted by no fault of their own. They have been rejected by their home country and often a second country. Refugees are humans, people, doctors, architects, kids.., but what is the difference between us and them? Many of them speak a different language, have a different skin colour, different religion. However, they have seen their home, country destroyed, their children kidnapped and their families murdered unlike us.
I know you're trying to spin it as a bit of an insult, but the thing is that is absolutely what I think should happen. Refugees are not criminals nor are they terrorists; they're just helpless people seeking a life that isn't filled with war and destruction. I so happen to actually know a few people who came to the united states as refugees, and I can tell you right now that any statement that they are out to just bumble around and feed off of the government is a load of nonsense spread around by losers trying to use fear to gain money or power. Refugees are people, they are people who want to live in peace and want to contribute to society. I don't see why we shouldn't let these people in.
Wikileaks main goal has been finding the truth of topics wanted to be hidden to the public, and in this case their power was used to protect Tunisia. The procedure used to spread the truth may not be the most appropriate. It is the truth, and it will always be better to hear the crude reality than some beautiful lie. “The ends justify the means” –Niccolo Machiavelli.
There are different factors that will make people flee their countries and become refugees. And these factors will be according to the type of refugee they are. War refugees: fled because of continuous war. Economic refugees: fled because of no money or job opportunities. Climate refugees: fled because of the severe weather and climate change. Religious refugees: fled because of being persecuted for their religion.
In today’s world, and the past few years, there has been a high concern for immigration and the influx of refugees around the world and I would just like to ask how many of you like myself are fed up with the constant headlines of so called illegal immigrants and refugees that are supposedly rushing to enter our borders in the hope of a better life for their families? Meanwhile, we as people sit in front of our 20-inch TV screens with food on our tables laughing and complaining in our roofed houses about humans who are in search of a better life while fleeing war, poverty and potentially death with the aid of those deceptive criminals, the people smugglers, to make their way through continents on unseaworthy boats risking the horrid fate of drowning at sea.
