Imagine that you are in an airport trying to flee your country because there is a war going on, all of a sudden you get stopped by a security officer saying that the country you are trying to go to does not allow refugees, What would you do? The debate about refugees has been around since World War Two when Hitler was trying to torture or kill all the jews and other people he did not like. Here in America we did not let refugees into the U.S. during the war and a bunch of them were killed, however some did survive. Some people think that we should let them into the United States of America well, others say they should not be allowed to enter the U.S. In the year of 2016 there was around thirty-eight thousand refugees that were allowed into the United States. There were a bunch of other refugees that applied to come to the united states but got denied, because the U.S. did not choose them or they did not pass the test to become a refugee. The idea that refugees should not be allowed into the united states because they could bring disease, they could be a criminal or a terrorist, and they use up our land and resources deserves some merit. However These arguments do not realise that if we bring them into the United States we could save their lives, or give them better living conditions. In this article I will argue that we should allow refugees into the United States, but only under certain circumstances. Those circumstances are they should be allowed into the united

There was no gold in the Jamestown colony as opposed to the original plan, but John Rolf could make tobacco a hot commodity. Tobacco became a major cash crop and an integral source of wealth in Virginia. As the cultivation of tobacco was no easy task, people known as indentured servants were sent from England to work for the Virginia Company. Indentured servants would work for a land owner in exchange for their entry to the New World with the hopes to eventually claim their own land.

Much like many white people in the South believed black protestors had no right to infiltrate their cities in the 1960s, a large number of Americans are against the idea of letting refugees or anyone that follows a strongly stereotyped religion into their country. However, like King says, “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere” (78). Over the course of history, the United States have established themselves as a major power with the intentions of helping others. Whether the tactics for this have actually been successful in the past is a different discussion, but if the motives are pure, then this country has a moral and ethical obligation to help those in need. In this case, that would mean allowing these refugees into the country and not continuing to stigmatize an entire group of people any further. This country turned away refugees during World War II, and a portion of them were killed in the Holocaust. The exact same thing could potentially happen if these refugees and muslims are banned from traveling into the United States.

My first reason to why refugees should always be welcome is, how badly some get sexually abused or assaulted, how poorly they are treated and are seen as things instead of humans. picture this, you a five year old child, the village has been raided, your family have been killed except your uncle and one of your sisters, she marries an older man, whom she does not love but needs safety and security… this is a story that has happened before, a story that has happened many times, to many people. All of us, should be valued and treated with respect, regardless of our skin colour, cultural beliefs and/or background.

Intro: Refugees face a far worse life than most people can imagine, and there is no easy way out for them. They first must get out of whatever dangerous place they are in, then travel long distances with almost no resources, and even if they do make it safely to the USA there is a chance they will be sent back or even put in jail. The refugee experience is defined by risks and belonging.

Today we watch the world rage in war, bathe in chaos, and live in destruction. Where there is war families are being torn apart. Children watch family members be killed in front of them and many homes are destroyed. They are forced to leave their country and seek refuge in a neighboring one. In the book Outcasts United, the main conflict is how refugees are readjusting to life and how they are treated. Many characters have waited years to get into the u.s.This has made me realize that the way we deal with refugees is a big problem today. The camps they are put in are unsanitary. It takes years for background checks. And even after they get an okay to come here, they still struggle. Money can only go so far. I believe it is time to help them. Refugees are people and need to have another chance at life.

America is a great place. It is filled with hope, dreams, love, and success. Immigrant families choose to come over to America because of those reasons. These families have the American Dream in mind. One particular group that comes to the United States is the Somali Refugees. The Somali Refugees see America as their second chance and lucky them, America is able to give it to them. There is one problem though. Many Americans are not willing to contribute or agree to help the Somali Refugee population. Somali Refugees go through a lot all because of their culture and Americans should help them feel welcomed and wanted here.

Refugees are people who are forced to leave their home due to war, or natural disasters and try to start over by fleeing to a new country.Refugees are going through a lot, fleeing their homes, and having their lives turned inside out. For lots of families who are fleeing their country due to war or a natural disaster, it’s hard for them to adapt to their new lifestyle, learning a new language, new education, and bullies. Fleeing to America gives the refugees a fresh start in life, helps them to start over and more opportunities than they had in the country they fled from. “Children of War” “My graduation is next year, so I have to think about college...America is giving us a better future than we could have in Bosnia”(Brice-26).

There are a few good things that could come from being a refugee. They are able to collect welfare and get into public housing immediately by living in America. The elderly parents are given the opportunity to collect social security income without even working a job in America. The government assists refugees with community assistance. The community helps the refugee learn English by setting up a class for them. Little children learn English faster than others. Children are able to adjust to America quicker than most. The refugees could get great benefits from coming to America. However there are some bad things that could come to America by the refugees coming here.

These people cannot go back home because they fear something bad is going to happen again, their only choice is to flee to another country and start a new life, but not many countries let most refugees in due to their religion or race, and the United States is one of them. For example, in the many articles that I have read in my English Humanity class, there's an article from Donald Trump, where he says: “We cannot let them into this country, period. Our country has tremendous problems. We can’t have another problem.” And this is one of our candidates running for president talking about the refugees in this type of way, saying that they will cause more problems, due to the fact that they are dangerous. But not every refugee is dangerous, especially the ones that come from Syria at this time due to the Syrian war. Some just tend to be traumatized and exposed to violence and war, and all they learn is to fight back and take care of themselves, and in a document I read coming from the book Outcasts United by Warren St. John, it says that a mentally disturbed Sudanese man, beheaded his five year old nephew with a butcher knife, and family members say that this act was due to the fact that he had

In the late 19 century, early 20th century Refugees from Russia, especially Jews, Mennonites and Doukhobors, settled in Canada. The world had different opinions on this matter, but most of the world took it as an advantage. The world took it as an advantage because the refugees can help and boost the economy for the better. (Tess Fuller 1) The refugees come from different places all around the world meaning that they come from different work environments. People from different countries know different jobs better so that would help our economy because instead of having people working in one type of job we would have different people from different countries be able to come and help us with the jobs that we are not so strong at doing. Refugees can help with jobs like plumbers, construction workers, and accountants, while we are good at jobs like doctors, social workers, and teachers. By letting the refugees come into our country it would give more of a diversity to the jobs we are working in right now. It would help benefit the world because there are a lot of jobs on high demand and by letting them come into our country they can help us fill those jobs up.

Moses is one of the most important if not the most important person in all of the book of Exodus and the Old Testament. Moses is a very important person in the book of Exodus because he helps the people of Israel escape Egypt and commits to a new covenant between God and the nation of Israel. This new covenant between God and Israel promises a land flowing with milk and honey if they obey God 's laws and commandments. In turn Moses leads the people of Israel through a long journey to the place in which they call the promise land. This is why Moses was such an important person in God 's plan for the nation of Israel.

Can you imagine that your little town is being attacked or even a natural disaster may be occurring and you have nowhere to go? What would you do? How would you survive? You would have to flee your home away from the tragic disaster. You would have no place to call home and all you would have is the clothes on your back. Some in the process of leaving their town never get to see their family again and are lucky if they survive. This is why I believe that refugees should be allowed into the United States under certain conditions. These include having a positive background, being eligible for a job and respecting our nation as well as the people in it. As the US turns refugees away, thousands of lives are being taken away. We could easily help them by taking them into our country. Although some people that enter the country may commit crimes, that doesn’t mean we should turn all of them away. It would cause way more harm than good. Most crimes that happen in the United States are caused by the people that are US citizens rather than the refugees. All of these innocent lives are just being taken away and as many Americans sit back and do nothing about it. When we could be out there saving lives. Our country has to step in and do something about this serious situation. There are solutions we could use to solve these problems by making sure all people that enter this country are good at heart. Mockingbirds are a symbolic sign of peace and hope, people say it would be a sin if you killed one as did Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird. Atticus resembles a mockingbird as does Tom Robinson and Boo Radley in To Kill a Mockingbird. The three portray the acts and actions of mockingbirds through out the story. For example, they all give to the community in some way but never ask for anything in return. For Atticus he was a lawyer who defended people without asking for anything in return, Tom walks home from work every day then stops to help the Ewells with house work for only a nickel, Boo put items in a tree hole for Jem and Scout but never asked for anything back. But they portray mockingbirds in different ways that make them their own mockingbird.
