Abortion should not be allowed in any countries. “Abortion has never been a choice... It's about escaping the consequences of your choice by taking all choices away from another human being." (- anonymous) Abortion is a type of murder and should be illegal.
No man or woman should have that power to decide if a baby is allowed to live or not. When a woman decided to have sexual intercourse, she is taking a chance of being pregnant whether it’s done with protection or not; it’s still her responsibility. After the sixth weeks of pregnancy, the baby's heart starts beating and the brain is forming. On the seventh weeks, the baby's fingerprint started to form, which can show that the baby has an identity, a heart and a mind of his/her own. (Storck,

By the twelve weeks, the unborn babies can feel the pain. There are two types of abortion; medical abortion and surgical abortion. Before proceeding to the process to abort the babies, the mothers are asks to take multiples examinations and tests to see which types of abortion are suitable for them. Statistics have shown that abortion is not just something that has a short terms effect, but instead it has a long terms effect on the women’s bodies and health. The most common abortion methods for the first twelve weeks of pregnancy are known as the suction aspiration. Generally, anesthetic are given to the mother to relieve the pain without eliminating the sensation. Her cervix is than quickly dilated. Once her cervix dilated, a hollow tube with a knife- edged tip that is being connected to a vacuum is then inserted into the womb. This vacuum suction is 30 times stronger than a regular household vacuum cleaner. Once the suction is inserted in the womb, it starts to tears up the fetus and placenta into small pieces and sucked it into the vacuum tube which later gets discarded. There are many different cruel ways to abortion, but the suction aspirations are the most common method that is being used. (WebMD, 2014)
Many follow the slogan “My body, my choice”; however, a women body is one thing and the baby body is another thing. Abortion does not affect
What a woman chooses to do with her own body is her business. When a woman chooses to get an abortion, she should have the right to do so. This procedure is between her and her doctor. A woman’s body should not be controlled or regulated by politicians and the strangers who vote “yes.” When abortion was illegal, about 5,000 women died from unsafe abortions before Roe v. Wade ("The Impact of Illegal Abortion - Our Bodies Ourselves."). Violating a woman’s right to make safe choices, puts her life at risk. If the woman does not want the cells to grow into a baby, she should
Abortion should be legal, because there are too many things that go wrong. A women could be raped and need to get one because she doesn’t want to look at the child and doesn’t want to feel it grow, freedom of choosing what to do and how government involvement in personal decisions such as this could lead to potentially having the government deem how many children you can have or even how many pregnancies you are allowed, medical reasons for abortion, and the ability of a woman to have control of her body is critical to civil rights.
If the fetus’ right to life outweighs the mother’s right to decide what happens in and to her body, then an abortion may not be performed.
Every woman believes in women rights, freedom of choice, and control over their own body but women are not able to determine if those rights include a second person. In our society including the women bashes people who believes in Abortions. In April 1992, the U.S. Supreme Court Case Planned Parenthood v. Casey threatened to strictly restrict women access to abortion. It than lead-up to a mass protest planned for Washington, D.C. that month. For years there has been a great debate if abortion should be legal or not. Abortion is defined as the deliberate termination of human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. There are many reasons why women get abortions such as rape, their finical stability, the pregnancy was a mistake or birth control failure. resulting in an unwanted pregnancy, the women could be on drugs which could result in the baby being born with a birth defect. Lastly a woman continuing with the pregnancy could suffer from mental or psychical problems that could endanger the women the women of the pregnancy. Society have many views on pregnancy. Many people are for it and many people are against it. Did you know that each year almost 1.2 million Americans women have abortions, in result each year there are many riots and protest because of the abortions? To many people abortion is murder but murder is not a moral principal that the people who are against abortion stand by. It’s hard to make a moral judgement about what one does especially if you do not have a moral standard you stand by. The best way to handle abortions in society is to allow every woman to be entitled to their own decision with their body when it comes their body, but everyone handles the topic abortion differently. Everyone have a different view on abortion and because of that there have been many violent acts.
Each person, man or woman has a right to their own body. A woman has a right to dictate what happens to her own body and the right of self-preservation. Judith Jarvis Thomson stated that “Some [anti-abortionists] won’t even make an exception for a case in which continuation of the pregnancy is likely to shorten the mother’s life; they regard abortion as impermissible even to save the mother’s life” (Thomson, 2013, p. 298). These anti-abortionists renounce abortion even if it threatens the life of the woman, they see more value in the fetus than the woman.
To begin with, there has always been a huge issue with the topic of abortion, why? Well, it’s a tough subject and can get extremely emotional and very defensive. Honestly, people just need to open up their eye’s and understand that it's murder and not just a choice. It is murder because two can create a blessing and the choice of aborting it, is more like a sacrifice for the reason a mother can’t carry a baby for nine months. Whether a person is a teen, young adult, or an adult and is in a horrible situation that believes they cannot proceed with the pregnancy, they should know there are other options. Teens aborting an unborn baby is not a choice and should be banned because it is wrong without parental consent, the rights of a child, and
It is a woman’s right to make decisions about her body. If she is the one that undergoes the stress that comes with childbirth, then it should be her right to ,and her right alone to decide whether or not she wants to go through it or not. Not doing so would violate her right to freedom of choice, as well as lead to unsafe abortions that could harm the mother (Nair, 2010). Another question is how could you kill a fetus or embryo when it is the same as a human being? Which begs the question, if the fetus is alive, then so are the eggs and sperm? How do you make the distinction?
Abortions are done in many different ways and at many different times of the pregnancy. There are six different types of abortion. (1) “RU-486 is a drug that produces an abortion. It is taken after the mother misses her period. It can be used up to the second month of pregnancy. It works by blocking progesterone, a crucial hormone during pregnancy. Without progesterone, the uterine lining does not provide food, fluid and oxygen to the tiny developing baby. The baby cannot survive. A second drug is then given that stimulates the uterus to contract and the baby is expelled. Women who abort with the drug RU-486 experience nausea, severe cramping, vomiting and bleeding. But the resulting emotional distress may have even more impact. Rather than being “over with” in a few minutes (as in a surgical abortion) this abortion could last for over a week. Then, when the woman finally does abort, she will expel a tiny dead human being - her baby. (2) Suction-Aspiration. In this method, the cervical muscle ring must be paralyzed and stretched open.
According to the article “Are Abortion Rights Threatened, 2013” over fifty million infants, died in 2012 before they even stepped foot into this world, due to abortion. To clarify abortion is the termination of the fetus in the mother’s womb typically by chopping up the baby into pieces with a knife, cracking its skull and vacuuming out its brains, or with the drug RU-486. As a result, abortion is one of the most common and cruel cause of death in the United States, yet the government has legalized this practice. Moreover, there are other measures that can be taken if a women feels she needs an abortion including adoption and financial aid. Therefore, women should not choose to abort her baby, because it is immoral and harmful
To begin with, there has always been an extensive issue with the topic of abortion, why? Well, it’s a tough subject and can get extremely emotional and very defensive. Honestly, people just need to open up their eye’s and understand that it's murder and not just a choice. It is murder because two can create a blessing and the choice of aborting it, is more like a sacrifice for the reason a mother can’t carry a baby for nine months. Whether a person is a minor, young adult, or an adult and is in a awful situation that believes they cannot proceed with the pregnancy, they should know there are other opportunities. Teens aborting an unborn baby is not a choice and should be banned because it is wrong without parental consent, the rights of
Though having the option to abort the fetus may be justified as a woman’s right, we have to ask ourselves who’s right is it really? Is it the woman’s right, or is it the child’s right? The right to life for another person should always outweigh the right of an individual to control their own body. Some think that fertilization marks the emergence of a human life or a “human being” with rights. Others do not agree that fertilization or even later stages of biological development create a human entity with rights (Virginia Law Review, Vol. 76, No. 3, pp. 444). A woman has the right to choose whether or not she will become pregnant, and
To deny a woman the right to terminate her pregnancy is akin to robbing her of any ability to make decisions about her body, her self, and her future. The woman is effectively forced, against her will, to assume an identity and a future that she normally would have avoided. This type of coersion can permanently damage a persons emotional and psychological health. The one thing that makes each of us an individual is our decision making freedom and powers regarding our own future and actions. But when we are robbed of our ability to make our own decisions about our future, our self, and our identity, then we are robbed of our most essential and valuable treasure…our self. If a woman wishes to obtain an early term abortion…to terminate a pregnancy…then she must be allowed to choose this option. If she id denied an abortion, then both her and the future child will suffer tremendously. Please stop viewing abortion as something that you should have sole control over. A person’s body is their own, not yours. It is threatening and invasive when others attempt to direct the lives of their peers. Rather supporting the tyrannical idea of forced childbirth, perhaps you ought to consider the more moderate concept that all people should be able to choose the future of their bodies and reproductive functions. I advocate neither abortion nor
It’s the women’s choice if she wants to abort her baby. Some people believe that it’s the women’s body so it’s her decision. For example, some women are asking to abort because she got raped and harassed by a man and become pregnant with his child. She decides to abort the baby because it’s too painful for her to cope with what has happened to her. Another example, a fourteen years old loses her virginity and gets pregnant because she was being very irresponsible and not aware of her own actions. She decides to abort the baby because if she keeps it, her life will be nothing, no one will help her, take care of her while she’s in pregnancy, would lose her education, and she’d be unable to support the baby. Although aborting the baby, would have her deal with painful aspects of deciding to kill the baby. By making a big mistake she can learn her mistakes and think first before doing the action. The unborn baby should have the privilege to grow into a normal person. It is the mother’s choice to abort the baby and what to do to their own body. Judie Brown and Robert Evangelisto stated that “Choice is important to us all, but we should not endorse choices that drastically and unjustly limit the choices of another human being. The most drastic way is to take his or her
There are many factors that affect the decision to receive an abortion. For this reason I felt the need to view the issue from both a pro-life and a pro-choice standpoint. I do believe in the principle that everybody should be able to make their own choice, but in the instance of taking the life of a human baby, it is a hazier subject. Most pro-life or anti-abortion people say that the government should override a woman’s decision to have an abortion in some, many, or all cases and require her to continue her pregnancy to childbirth. Those promoting pro-choice say that the government should not interfere with the woman’s decision, or should do so only under very rare circumstances. She should be able to have an abortion in some, many, or
Each year, nearly 1.2 million American women have an abortion to end pregnancy (Abortion Topic Oveview). Whether one is pro-abortion or pro-life, every single abortion ends the life of an innocent human being . Abortions can range from several hundred to several thousand dollars, depending on the woman’s circumstances(Abortion Facts). A female should not have an abortion because of the effects, bibical reasons, and the life she has to endure after making that decision.
