Personal and Professional Goals Over the last couple of years I have been contemplating over the direction of my life, and finally decided it is time to assume more control over it. That is way I decided to return to school in order to earn my BSN. This paper will address the decisions that I will be making, the strategies I will use, and the milestones I will accomplish during my journey through the BSN at UOP, as well as in life. Once I had my personal and professional goals in mind, I was able to select the degree that

The long-term milestone would be to become a CRNA and retire as a successful professional in 30 years. The effort made over the next few years will give my family and myself a much better life later on. Of course no milestone can be achieved without encountering barriers along the way. The only barrier that might posses a problem would be not to be able to balance work and school in the same time. In order for me to be able to pay for school without the use of any loans, would be to work full time hours. Partial tuition reimbursement and having a flexible schedule, as well as my ability to adapt to situations will help me minimize this aspect, and help me succeed in reaching my goals. It is difficult enough to manage time while being a student, however, it is more challenging when being a working student. My goal is to finish the program in the shortest time, paying the least amount of money and get accepted into the CRNA program. I am recognizing the need to become more organized, and learn how to set up priorities in order to manage my time more effectively; school should be first on the list followed by family and work. From my past experiences I have learned it is important to plan for the unexpected. Often, things that are not expected come up; therefore, it is important to leave some room in my calendar
Harper Lee creates an image that purposefully develops and affirms her theme. She has a lynch mob full of Bourbons coming toward a jail in the middle of the night. Outside of the jail, Atticus sits with a light shining down on him, contrasting the ominous darkness. By having a single light shine on Atticus, she is able to symbolize good and evil. Atticus, representing good, is trying to protect Tom Robinson from the Bourbons, representing evil. When seeing this, Scout joins Atticus under the light in attempt to restore the peace. She calls out to a specific person in the mob, Mr. Cunningham. When someone is in the middle of a lynch mob, they often lose their identity and do things they normally would not do. Eventually, Mr. Cunningham recognizes
I am intrested in gaining my Masters (MS) in Psychology to extend my knowledge within this field and make an impact in society. Graduate school will llow me to understand the human mind and how they all function individually. I aim to teach Psychology and become a Academic advisor at a collegiate level. While choosing a path during my undergraduate studies, I knew that anything I decided to do would make a impact in society and that has become my passion. While taking a few Psychology classes during my undergraduate studies, I was very intrigued with my class Social Psychology as it seemed to involve both Sociology being my major and Psychology. I m intrested in helping the community
I completed my BS in Human Services in March 2015. Since that time, I have been researching many colleges fluctuating between the MSW, MFT and Mental Health Counseling degrees. I consider my graduate school decision to be a positive life-altering decision requiring much thought, and research. After an extensive amount of research, and phone conversations, I have decided to pursue a Masters in Marriage Family, and Counseling Therapy.
Throughout the rollercoaster of a ride the past two years have been, I have been involved in a numerous amounts of extracurricular activities ranging from volunteering, babysitting, and of course, athletics. Most notably have been my contributions via athletics. Besides being a member of the varsity football team my sophomore to senior year (while being a captain my senior year) and a member of the varsity track team my senior year, being in these sports has given me many opportunities to give back to my community. Football players are not known to be the brightest of the bunch and often times, need an extra hand in academics. During my sophomore and junior year, I tutored a few of my fellow teammates to insure they got their G.P.A up and was able to compete on friday nights. In track, I did many fundraisers and similar dog sitting friends and family. Other extracurriculars I have done the past 2 years include being nominated for the National Society of High School Scholars and the
In the first months of college, I wasn’t so sure if I wanted to pursue architecture, finance, or engineering; I was utterly lost, unlike many of my peers. Over the months, I pondered on what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Then, I realized I was never interested in obtaining a job where I would sit at a desk and stare at some numbers on a computer screen for 9 hours every day. Through my daily routine and utilization of time, I realized I found less joy in the courses I applied least outside of the classroom, yet was intrigued that with the many hours I worked in the studio. I could work on a skill in which I could use in the career I wanted; a path in which I could leave a legacy through molding the world the way I wanted to see
How will I make the best of my time at Colorado Christian University? The same way I have made the best of the rest of my life. You see, I am very much the anomaly of almost every statistic on troubled teenagers. My childhood was not a pleasant one, as my mother’s second husband was not a very nice man. Because our family fell through the cracks in the Child Protective system, I found myself in a precarious position very early in life. Despite being a good student in high school, I was at the age of 16, a teenage runaway. While living on my own and working full time to support myself while finishing my junior and senior year in high school, I made every attempt to complete my education. However, life did end up getting the best of me, and I ended up dropping out of high school in my senior year, just three months shy of graduation.
An awakening transition took place in my life the day I enrolled into college. I had the concept upon me that with the importance of my college education, positioning myself in the right direction and observing the results of hard work I dedicated myself to, I could bring myself farther than imagined once I reached the point of achievement. This importance of having a college education, enhanced a vision of what I desired for my future. In the light of my enrollment from the beginning, I found that I grasped two deep likings of the business and healthcare industries.
Knowing what I excel at has given me the ambition to rise to the challenge of earning a college degree. I have attempted on line school seven years ago and I had to make the difficult decision to withdraw from school when my family and financial obligations became overwhelming. I look back on that experience and have been able to analyze myself and now know what was lacking in my life at that time. I was not close with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I was attempting to control all the angles of my life alone instead of allowing the Lord to help me. In the midst of my struggle for control I was unsure of my own strengths, passions, and abilities. Since that time I have been working in the human services field as the assistant director of a local adolescent girls group home. Working with at risk
Professional Goals: I still have a little time left to figure out what grade it is that I want to teach. I’m honestly lost in this because I most enjoy working with college level student, but I absolutely love elementary level children as well. Over the past few years, I have worked here at Lone Star College under a few different titles. I was offered a job while taking a 1302 English class. The next semester, I began to work in developmental classes. I have supported several different English class along with some Educt classes as well. It has been my job to tailor the information that the professor has covered to meet the needs of my students, and I’ve become quite good at this. I am currently a Level III Master English tutor, and the Peer

My primary professional and personal goal is to remain organized and not stressed even under pressure or during unforeseen setbacks
Scholarships are more than just an amount of money; they are are steps to help reach your goal. If I was awarded this scholarship, it would put me one step close to paying for my college education and my goal to help people. My personal goal for when I get out of college is to work for the agricultural sector of the government and to be involved in politics. I have a dream of one day being in the position where I can develop an organization that would teach inner city families how to produce food on their own. I would teach them the basic concept of urban agriculture, which is growing produce in a heavily populated town or municipality. My goal would be for them to realize that they do not need to rely on government handouts to survive; they
Beginning a few years back, I started to get serious about making a positive change in my life. I sat down and gave serious thought to the direction I wanted to go in life. I knew that higher education was to play a prominent roll in the process. Although, I didn't quite know which academic
Choosing a career in medicine is my first career choice, and in many ways it is the only career choice I want. From professional athletes that we see on television, to the educators that have taught me and many others through the years, they all have committed themselves to extensive study. They have practiced countless of hours to master their individual skill set for their profession. I see myself following in the same footsteps, but as a pediatrician. I want to also master the skills that it takes to be a great doctor. It may not be simple and the outcome may not be near, but with extensive studying and practice I want to achieve and master the set of skills of pediatric diagnosis and eventually improve the medical process. This is my
