The personal wellness plan assignment helped me strengthen my ability to take action and achieve what was important to me by teaching me strategies to help keep me focused. Of the components that were required to be completed, writing out my S.M.A.R.T goals was the most beneficial aspect for me. By giving myself guidelines to follow, I became more motivated to achieve my goal. Additionally, by identifying who my support system was given a sense of comfort knowing I’d have people to turn during the tough times. In my opinion, had I not identified those individuals I believe I would have felt alone and lost motivation.
