A house should be a love of labor, not something that does everything for you. Although having everything done for you is nice, there is no satisfaction in it. Doing chores and keeping a clean house is fulfilling and can help children develop responsibility.
Parents are under a whole lot of stress. They shouldn't have to all the chores especially when only one person is doing them and five people are living in the house. When you have children they are part of the mess of the house if you don't make them clean then the house will most likely look bad. Chores are a necessity to a good organized life. All of our lives, we've been told to stay organized. Organization has always been linked to success and less stress. Whether at home or at school organization is something that has been taught to almost everyone since we were born. So which is better? A clean room or a messy room. Some would say that a clean room is better than a messy room. I disagree with that statement. While a clean room does have it's advantages a messy room helps you flourish in mind and soul. Sure, the state of your room may represent how your mind works but disorderliness isn't always bad. There are 2 types of messy: cluttered or just dirty. While clutter shows personality and possibly creativity, a dirty room is very negative and is not helpful in any way. Disorderly rooms looks bad to the people who don't own them but the people who made it that way feel at home when in their room. Consider this from Albert Einstein, “If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, then what are we to think of an empty desk?” He looked unkempt and was reportedly messy in his personal life, but was certainly a creative genius. I wake up at 6:50 am. As I rise from my bed, as I do at the same time every morning, all I see is gray. Gray walls, gray bed sheets, a gray toilet, and gray bars. It’s strange how frequently you see the color gray in prison. Maybe it’s done on purpose. Maybe it’s done to mirror how each inmate feels.
The hardest thing for a lot of students is keeping a clean bedroom. It can be very intimidating to clean your bedroom, especially if its been a a disaster for quite some time. You may find yourself getting overwhelmed and asking yourself where should you even start? Well in my experience I have had the best results just by following three very simple steps, which include creating a good cleaning environment, getting organized, and finally polishing everything up.
