Working for Lynn is not a clear cut question as most would think however I would have to say yes and no. On the business side of things, it would be a great learning experience to work with such a powerful and intelligent woman. I would enjoy getting the perspective from her in what she would have done differently for sure, however, learning the smart choices on obtaining business and making them successful again would be very helpful. Working with her from a stand point that herself confidence would encourage myself never to change my self regardless of the situation would be a positive. Studies show that in addition to education delegation skills are needed to help woman success in business (Cuba, DeCenzo, Anish, 1983). I believe she has exactly everything needed to carry on her name in the industry. …show more content…
Her companies have high turnover which is not a good character when making the decision to join a new firm. I enjoy independence and the ability to be creative in my work environment, and this type of situation does not seem to posses those traits. Ms. Tilton has created successful companies however I do not feel this would be a great setting for myself.

I conducted an interview on Tina Hildebrant; she is my girlfriend’s mother and has been a family friend for many years. Tina’s very first job was working at the Davenport Moose Lodge as a salad lady. She stocked the salad bar with all of the toppings and sauces. After Tine left the Davenport Moose Lodge, she moved to a new position at Neurology Consultants PC. She worked there from 1998 to 2017. She worked for 20 years without changing her job title. She felt over whelmed, over worked, and under paid at times. Besides the three things she felt, however; on the other side she felt like she accomplished many tasks every day. She thought working at Neurology Consultant PC was beneficial because it helped her talking with the public and communication skills. Tina now works for the
She is an incredibly hard working as she has a PHD from Clemson University; she has a MBA from Winthrop University in South Carolina and received her undergrad in business. She is a firm believer in “You get out what you put in” and her resume clearly
The potential benefit of hiring Ms. Jenkins is the fact that she is a reregister nurse with a bachelors’ degree behind her. She has been practicing for a significant amount of time and is known around the community, from working with a PR actioner. Due to her prior work, she probably knows many elderly in the area. She also has a four-year degree and the administrators like that more than applicants with two-year degrees. However, Ms. Jenkins was involved in an abusive relationship and did commit a crime that was made very public in the town. While she was released early from jail and her license to practice was given
Prior to this, she had worked as a Bank Teller for Huntington Bank. She would perform excellent customer service, accept and withdraw cash, and up sale clients on product. She left this position when this location had a mishap and she felt it was best to leave. She did leave on good terms.
Although Karen has made great strides in the business world she also faces some struggles. Her first major problem is that she is a woman with no international connections. Being a woman is hard enough to gain respect and work your way up in the business world, having connections are very important in businesses like Merrill Lynch because a lot of people making big accounts are international client. Her next big problem is hiring people. She has to meet with them many times before she decides if they are good enough to work for this company. She has a big responsibility to make the company successful and if she hires a bad worker it is costing the company mega bucks. Another problem she has is Chung. He is her first Taiwanese worker and she is very unfamiliar of these different cultures and how to incorporate them in her sales. Along with the unfamiliarity of Chung and his
Before she landed this job in early January, she had an extended seven months of crazy job searches. She said “It became scary that in seven months I couldn’t find a single marketing job to hire me. I knew it was competitive but not like this.” One day she went for then interview where she was interviewed by the head of the Human Resource from Century Bank. She said this interview was more of a formal interview where they asked the typical questions such as “ Tell me about yourself.” After a week, the head of the Marketing Paul called her and wanted to do
After watching the documentary about the Mission District in the beloved San Francisco, it’s hard for me to say if I agree or disagree with the gentrification that has been happening there however I believe that I am leaning more towards agreeing with it. There are many good things that could come out of this like older buildings being restored and creating better housing however this does mean that prices are going to be rising quickly. More importantly, these neighborhoods would become safer and crime rates will come down (San Francisco Gentrification). In the video, Rose Hunter, a small business owner, talks about how people have more confidence to walk on the streets because of the different kinds of people and businesses that have come around (Kepka). However with more people moving into the area, the culture levels have
I definitely would, but Judith does not know if she is quite ready for the job just yet. She doesn’t know anybody there and the boss is absolutely terrible. Everybody knows that having a job with a boss you don’t like isn’t always the best, but sometimes you have to accept it and move on with it, but Judith doesn’t feel that way. She feels that she cannot help others with their marriage problems while hers is going downhill. Judith just does not feel comfortable doing this, even though this is a great opportunity for her and her marriage.
All throughout it, I was learning so much about Billie’s position and it even cleared many of my previous misconceptions in the process. I do find it all very interesting, and I wouldn’t mind pursuing that area of work. Of course, I probably wouldn’t be able to have her specific job since she has the only position in Eastern Oregon and she isn’t planning on retiring for another 27 years. Something I found really fascinating was how Billie always said that she absolutely loves her job and it is the best job in the world. Not only did she say that, but several of her coworkers basically said the same thing about their own positions. It didn’t seem like anyone one there dreaded coming to work, and I thought that was one of the best qualities anyone could ask for in a workplace. In all, I had a great time job shadowing Billie and I feel it was a great learning
Working for Ms. Tilton would be an amazing experience. The unconventional style displayed by Mr. Tilton is extremely interesting. Traditionally, men and women who are different are frowned up, and tend to be labeled unfavorably. However, Tilton does not conform to society’s view of professional or successful. Tilton is unique in both her attitude and method of running her company.
From a young age, I was considered a competitive individual in the activities I participated. Once I was given a challenge I would try my hardest to be number one. I have always loved to read, enter spelling bees and public speaking competitions. I have encountered many challenges in life, but writing has always seemed to be the most tedious activity. Soon I began to have to read more books, write papers, and do even more presentations. With everything piling so quickly, that competitive spirit within myself passed and was replaced with fear of not doing well. My fear lead to my struggles in my classes, especially English.

She leads the company with a lot of power and this creates a lot of fear in the employees. This can be seen in the movie where everyone panics on her arrival. This is a clear example of how the organization is run.
