Personal Narrative - Travel Writing I took a final look around my room to make sure I hadn't forgotten anything. Feeling depressed, yet eager to go home, I walked out of the room lugging my suitcase behind me, as I carefully closed the door. I entered the elevator sorrowfully. I pressed the button to go to the lobby where I would be able to check out and hand back the key. The door opened and I stepped outside, still dragging my immensely heavy suitcase! I strolled to the reception desk and gave the receptionist the key with the number '319' accurately engraved on the gold key chain. "Have a safe trip home", he said with a warm pleasant smile on his face. "Thank you", I …show more content…
"Did you like it?" "No! It is the most discouraging country I've ever been to! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!" 'How nice!' I thought sarcastically! Obviously he hadn't noticed the queue was all people going to Egypt! His Excellency interrupted my thoughts when he said, "How come you speak English then?" "It's because I go to a British school." "They have schools in Egypt?! That's certainly a surprise!" I was lucky to leave that desk and to never see that guy again! By that time, I was extremely hungry. I missed breakfast that morning because I had to pack. Once, I spent four hours packing! You know us girls; packing takes us a long, long time! I went to Burger King with three friends. We walked a long way then I realized I wasn't hungry anymore! A friend of mine smacked me on my back because she was wearing heels and her feet hurt a lot from walking so much! On our way to Burger King, we passed a police office, which didn't bring back a lot of nice memories. On our way to Burger King, we saw a police shoot a guy dead! Oh, what a horrible sight! He stole a bag or something rather, so they shot him! Publicly! After I got beaten up, shouted at and cursed at for not being hungry anymore, we went shopping. We didn't spend forever shopping though, because they announced our flight as we left the
We had been searching for something else to do while we were on our trip and we couldn't find anything.Since we didn't know what to do we went out to dinner in hope to find something to do later in the week while we were there.I do not particularly remember the name of the restaurant since it was chinese but it was absolutely amazing. We had to wait in line for a while since it was a very popular restaurant around that place. Once we got in we grabbed
My youth pastor pulled out of our church parking lot at three am in the morning loaded down with a bus full of twenty four teenagers including me. We were off at last head to Colorado Spring Colorado, little did I know, our bus was going to fall apart this very day.
We went to the most elegant restaurant in the whole world for lunch; Culver’s. It was probably one of the messiest ones I’d ever seen, and apparently EVERYONE in Wisconsin goes to Culver’s for lunch, because it was jam packed, shoulder to shoulder, and it was just a small one off the ainterstate.
It was the day we were leaving for Florida for a U16 soccer tournament in West Palm Beach, July 2nd to be precise. A drive to Florida from where we live takes around 18 hours. We finished supper at 5:30, completed packing, and were on the road at 6:30. We were traveling south on Interstate 83. Nothing much to see as we were driving down the highway. A few trees here and there, and a wide variety of fields that were thriving with crops.
Last year I started a new sport, cross country. I only did it because my lacrosse coach said that it might help me get better for lacrosse. So I went to the first late summer practice last year to see what this was like, so then we did warm-ups and a lap around the track. Then it was the first time I met coach Chase, My first impression of him was going to be very strict, But soon realized that this was false because of one of the first things he said. He said “I know there are a lot of nerves here right now, but cross country isn’t about winning every race, that comes later” then continued with “Cross country is about showing what you can do to yourself.” This struck me very hard because I was not that fast and was near the back. Through that fall the team did very well, I also made some progress myself. After the season was over I made a decision.
Unfortunately I see this conversation ending with Celeste and Jim both very upset and no solutions to the conflict being discussed. It seems that at the end of this scenario the conflict was beginning to spiral out of control, and communication was shutting down. It will end with Celeste and Jim blowing up at each other and not being willing to understand the others perspective about the situation. They will not talk for a while after this happens and Jim will hire Nikki as he intended to from the beginning. As a negative end to this conflict I see Jim and Celeste looking back over the conflict still trying to defend their position (retrospective goals).
Over my Thanksgiving Vacation I did a lot of stuff like cook. I got to cook some of the food but my grandma cook the Tuckey and all of the stuff that I did not like. She cooked gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole and yams. when she was done cooking all of that I cooked all of the stuff that I did like ham, mac a cheese, deviled egg, apple pie, pumice pie When we were both done cooking all of the food, it was 5:00a clock and I was so glad that I got to eat because it smelled so good. I was very hungry. When we were done eating the Thanksgiving food, we had a lot of left overs we pat I a way. Then we watched the parade on TV. We record it and it was so cute to watch
I remember the day just like it was yesterday, the pale color and coldness of her skin. The sky was clear blue, soft, with a touch of red, and the trees seemed stiff in their bright green shade. The wind was blowing with its humid dry air. And All I could do was stand silently in disbelief, caught up in my own thoughts and calm as I ever been. Wondering what I could have done differently to change the course of time, life had taken us upon. Since that very day a chunk of my heart was ripped away, and broken into pieces… “Oh how I miss her so much.”
Last summer, my family and I took a trip to New York City. We’ve visited this city about five years ago, but I didn't remember much since I was only eleven years old. This trip changed my mindset on life. I got to experience the unexplainable and took pictures that were priceless. This trip is definitely a trip to remember and will always be special to me.
Trying to find memories is like looking for treasure. You look at the surface and see something mediocre, but you dig deep and find something cool, pretty, and meaningful. It took a while to think of a fond memory, but once I thought of some, it was hard to choose a favorite. Growing up I have had many great experiences in the form of vacations. Between going to Disney World, owning a vacation home, hanging out with my grandparents in Arizona, traveling to Canada and more. They all make amazing memories that I will forever cherish. The vacation spot we go to the most, though, is Wisconsin Dells. A few times I have been allowed to invite friends to come with. When I am allowed to bring friends, it is always a ginormous amount of fun. We goof off in the hotel room, play in the arcades, and swim in the water parks.
It was about three years ago that my family and I had decided to listen to my sister and plan this trip to a lake. We could not resist sitting on our living room sofas and letting the humid air slap us right across the face. So Friday night we went out to the store to buy everything we imaged we would need to make a successful family trip. So Saturday morning comes around six we are close to ready in leaving to the lake. It was a struggle for me to get up in the morning so as soon as we got on the road with the van my eyes fell shut. According to my dad it was a two hour drive before the engine of the car stopped and my eyes were open again. We happen to be in some sort of parking lots. Once we knew we were at the parking lots of the lake we unpacked everything we brought our bags with extra clothes, food, balls, and the canopy’s. We had to walk through a pathway that was surrounded by very giant trees until we arrived to the end of the trees and was this signed that read “WELCOME TO LAKE PERRIS”.
Then the 134 arrived. I got on, showed my pass to the bus driver and
Everybody is on or has been on a journey before. Being on a journey is very important because it gives you a goal or task that you want to accomplish. When you go on a journey you find is yourself through the experiences and obstacles that life throws at you. Throughout a journey, you are taught life lessons and have the capability of applying that new knowledge for the future for a better outcome. Sometimes, these life lessons challenge you and you ultimately succeed at the end. For the past 5 months, I have been on a journey as I have been learning a new instrument that I’ve always wanted to learn since I was a little kid. Being on this path has taught me many life lessons and how to stay focused on what really matters.
Most people that have gone to Orlando for holidays, ended with good memories. I’m not the exception. The resorts, the parks, and the restaurant make Orlando the best place to enjoy for the whole family. My last holiday with my nephew in The Wall Disney World Resort was the best time of our life for my family and me.
I woke up onto the voice of the pilot announcing “ We are about to be descending , so please all buckle your seatbelt and do not unbuckle till the seatbelt sing is off . It is about 3:56 pm in Frankfurt, Germany and its a nice 78 degrees outside . “ It was weird I woke up in another country . My first thought is what if I get lost because I don't read german and if i ask for direction I don't speak german .
