I took a deep breath. It was the big championship game and we had 10 minutes left on the clock and the score was 10-7 we were down by 3. We had 3 runners on the base and 2 outs I was on deck and Brooke was up to bat. I pulled her over to the side and said “you got this were only down by three and I got your back. We have no outs so take your time and hit the ball.” Brooke said “ok thanks and we got this”. The pitcher threw the ball and Brooke hit the ball. It went straight down the 3rd base line. She got a single and now the score was 10-8, I was up. The pitcher through one right down the middle I hit a line drive right to center field and got a double, MG was running home as fast as lightning and slid into home barely making it. The game was …show more content…
When Emily pitched the ball the girl hit a pop up right to left field and Jaiden caught the ball. 1 out and now their big hitter was up she had gotten 6 homeruns in 2 games and already had 1 this game. Emily through a screwball and the girl hit a line drive right between 3rd and short. Mae and Brooke went diving for the ball but they missed she got a double. With a runner on 2nd and 1 out the next batter was up Emily through a perfect rise ball and the batter swung and missed strike 1. Then Emily threw a fastball but it went outside ball 1. Emily then tried a changeup but the ump called it a ball. Next Emily through another fastball and it hit the girl so she got a free base with a runner on 1st and 2nd and 1 out with 3 minutes left in the game we needed an out fast. When the next batter was up Emily through a screwball but the girl didn’t swing the runner on 2nd took off to third base so MG, our catcher, threw it to 3rd so the runner ran back to 2nd then Brooke threw the ball to 2nd so the runner went back to 3rd and this went on for about 1 minute until Brooke finally ran her down and tagged her out. We had 2 outs with a runner on 1st so the next batter was
It was a saturday morning I had to get up and get ready for my baseball game. It was one of the most important games me and my team had ever played we were going up against a team called Storm Red, we started off the game not so good but we came back in the last couple of innings we stated a rally we were scoring and scoring over and over again. We ended up mercy ruling which means we scored to much for the other team to come back and win the game so we won 13-5.
The catcher put two figures down; he called a 12-6 curveball. I nodded up and down as I began my wind-up for the third time. The ball was traveling towards the plate, and I could see the forward spin of the ball. As it got closer and closer to the plate, I could see the batter loading up to swing at it. The batter started his swing, and the ball dove right underneath his bat, thanks to the forward spin of the ball. The ball landed at the base of home plate. The catcher was able to block the ball and tag the batter out before even leaving the batter’s box. I could now just have fun with the rest of the game.
The bus ride down to Peoria was long, but because of our anticipation we felt like it flew by. The tournament directors threw a banquet for all the participants. Each team had a half an hour practice and then were asked to come to the banquet. The next day after the banquet was our first game. We played Hall in our first game, it was a tough win. We were overcome with excitement and happiness. My team and I were moving on to the championship game. The next day we all were up bright and early with excitement and anticipation. We made it to the fields early so we could practice before the game. the game began with the national anthem giving us a new hope for the game. The other team was tough, the pitcher was striking out all of our hitters. The pitcher also hit four home runs during the game. My team and I lost the championship game, but we still made
Babe Ruth walked up to the plate and got in his stance. The pitcher threw two outside corner pitches for balls, and the count was 2-0. As I watched from the dugout I could barely keep still with all of the excitement. The pitcher then threw a slider that caught the inside of the plate and Babe Ruth hit it and it soared! A walk off home run! After the game, I congratulated him and he said, “Thanks kid.” I then asked him for his autograph, and he smiled and said sure. So I had him sign my amazing, magical, vintage Babe Ruth baseball card. When he handed it back to me, my face lit up and I said, “Thanks!” I walked out of the clubhouse with a huge smile on my face and sat down beside a tree. I pulled out my 2017 Jake Arrieta card and fell asleep. When I woke up I was in my bed in my home sweet home. I went into my mom and dad’s room and said, “I’m back.” They looked at me strangely and said, “Uh, ok, Drake. Good
I was having a better than average game, throwing a few people out from centerfield, but nothing more than anyone expected out of me. While up to bat I had a couple hits and a few bunts. With extreme focus and excitement, my team and I found ourselves in the top of the seventh inning, tied ball game. At the end of our lineup, we were still excited especially after getting two girls on base. I was up next. This is the opportunity I had hoped for. The pitcher set up and began her windup… foul ball. And again, kicking her arm back and bringing it full circle delivered me an outside curve ball… ball one. Count of 1-1 and we were both feeling confident. Coach called me over to him for a quick pep talk he leaned over and said, “Shupe, how ‘bout you come up big this at bat, I want to see you go yard one more time.” The last ball ever thrown to me by the scary Albany Alexander pitcher, the sweet sound of the ball coming off the bat rang in my ears. I had hit the ball on the sweetest part of the bat and the sweetest feeling in the world was upon me. Going, going, gone! The ball soared over the left field fence. I began my homerun trot and could not help but wear an immense grin on my face. Rounding third, I saw my team jumping, screaming, cheering, and crying all waiting there at home plate to congratulate me. The most outstanding feeling in the world, making my team proud. I thrived under the pressure and it had never felt so good. But, we had to stay humble. We still had the bottom half of the inning to play. One, two, and three batters up, three batters out. We won! I felt so humbled by all the kind words my fellow teammates showered me with after the victory. It was as if I had won us the World Series. On the bus ride home we were lead back into West Portsmouth by fire trucks to help us celebrate the big win. Arriving back to the softball field where our cars were parked, I was
Finally the time was here to play some Baseball. No one had seen how fast the pitcher pitched the ball because I was the only one at practice. Anyway I was the second one who was going up to bat but my team was in the field first so I kinda got some time to see how they play. But we had a really good pitcher so it was 1, 2, 3, strikes it was time for us to bat.
It was a bitter cold sleeting Texas day in February when we laced up our spikes and hit the diamond to continue our school tradition. It was our senior year and basketball season had just ended two days before. Cody and I were the three and four hitters in the lineup and it still felt like we were in our sleeveless jerseys. Third pitch of my at bat I get hit by a pitch in the back. I told my first base coach "what a wonderful way to start off the season in 30-degree weather." and he then laughed. Cody came up to the plate with the bases loaded and hit a grand slam on the first pitch he saw. We won our first game of the season and we all knew that it would be a special one, but for Cody and I it would be different from all the rest of our teammates all thanks to one coach.
It was the last day of school and I was so excited for summer. I was going to do all kinds of stuff and go out of the state. In reality I was going for one of my worst summer ever. All I was going to do is travel most of the time. It was going to be the most boring summer ever.
The "it came as a revelation to me" befuddles me, and perhaps on the grounds that I have never encountered this, so I'm speculating this fair appears unexpectedly and blast, the data just flies in your mind. That is my wild figure. How might you depict enlighten individuals regarding this data given? On the off chance that a disclosure came to somebody in this advanced age, they would conceivably be called insane, however then you need to ponder, would they say they are insane or would they say they are being honest? I've met what's coming to me of insane and a portion of the stuff they say may sound insane, yet it truly makes them
I will start this off with an introduction. I am Kelly Rose Keschner, an incoming sophomore in Highschool. I would say I get pretty good grades and try so hard in school to prove to myself and my peers that I am a very good student despite what has happened to me.
Two years after we had signed the gas lease my father stopped farming. The cows and the pigs were sold to the Baker’s farm on the other side of Iberdeen. So were his two tractors along with most of the other equipment that had taken up real estate on our land. Now our house sat on almost three hundred acres of dirt, grass, hay, fieldstone, history.
It seemed like the weekend would never come. It did, and now she had to scramble to get preparations ready for Ray’s arrival this morning and Fiona and Emily’s for lunch.
Thump! I jolted straight up shocked at what had just happened I thought it was just a dream. Realizing this was actually happening to me. There right in front of me was my new neighborhood it was all happening so fast. My older sister, my younger sister, my mom, and I were all in the car on the way to the new house. There it was right in front of us seeable to the naked eye, the new house.
A rainy Saturday filled with a bit of cleaning, a lot of work and a constant rain, the hubs and I found ourselves with a hankering for burgers. Of course downtown has options, but we also wanted to get home just in case the downpour decided to continue. One never knows in Michigan after all.
Racing at night going One-hundred and forty miles an hour on US-27 holding the lead, Shift six gear, speed topped out at two-hundred miles per hour passing by cars smoothly. I chanted I am immortal, I am a god! while I pushed my sports bike to its limit. Suddenly a black car approaches. WHAM! I get Rammed from behind and lose control of my bike slamming into a Semi-truck up ahead. Lights out. When I peeked my eyes, I saw 4 humans around me. Thump after thumb I believe I was in an ambulance rushing down the turnpike. I looked around and the first words that came to my head are “Rick this is just a dream”. This is the story of how I escaped from an illegal laboratory that clones and modifies humans.
