It was a saturday morning I had to get up and get ready for my baseball game. It was one of the most important games me and my team had ever played we were going up against a team called Storm Red, we started off the game not so good but we came back in the last couple of innings we stated a rally we were scoring and scoring over and over again. We ended up mercy ruling which means we scored to much for the other team to come back and win the game so we won 13-5.
It was the next morning which was sunday we started off the games good we were 4-0 we were winning if we lost the game we would’ve had to go home and we wouldn't play anymore but we kept the lead till the end of the game and won the game 14-3. We had one more game to play and win
It was a fun day in New York at Yankees stadium The Home team (My favorite baseball team) the New York Yankees were up against the Toronto Blue Jays. I was wearing my Aaron Judge shirt sitting in my seat when the game started the first two innings was scoreless. Second, Aaron Judge comes up with two guys on base and hits a double scoring both runs. Then, I look at the jumbotron and see Aaron’s calm smiling face. The next few innings was intense the Yankees and the Blue Jays battle for the lead. Next, the seventh inning stretch comes around and we all rise from our seats and sing.
I took a deep breath. It was the big championship game and we had 10 minutes left on the clock and the score was 10-7 we were down by 3. We had 3 runners on the base and 2 outs I was on deck and Brooke was up to bat. I pulled her over to the side and said “you got this were only down by three and I got your back. We have no outs so take your time and hit the ball.” Brooke said “ok thanks and we got this”. The pitcher threw the ball and Brooke hit the ball. It went straight down the 3rd base line. She got a single and now the score was 10-8, I was up. The pitcher through one right down the middle I hit a line drive right to center field and got a double, MG was running home as fast as lightning and slid into home barely making it. The game was
The top of the first inning went by super quick, going 1,2,3 with two strikeouts and a little dinker hit right back at me. I got all kinds of congrats going back to the dugout. It was now our turn to bat. I was not in the batting lineup since I was pitching. We ended up scoring one run that inning. That was all we were going to need for runs.
It was my favorite day of the week, game day. I was a sophomore, 16, about to play our district rivals in soccer, Cedar park High School. Year after year us and CP are neck and neck for title of district champs. But this one game in particular, on March 5th 2013 I will never forget.
It was the last games of the baseball season. We had are worse pitcher pitching for our team. And they had an ok pitcher pitching. We got to the semi finals and our coach was going nuts. I was in the locker room getting ready for the game and my teammates Austin and Tevan were right next to me also getting ready they were one of the best players on the team.
While I was stacking cards I heard a bunch of people yelling “ he’s back, Red Chief is back!” The good and the bad things are 50/50, the good thing is that the parents of the spoiled trouble-making you call of a kid is reunited with him. The bad thing is that the people who dislike him the most has to deal with his nonsense again, I ignored the message and went back to stacking my poker cards, you know, mining my own business. The next day, while I was sleeping I heard a loud and annoying noise that woke me up, so I rolled out of my comfy bed and search for the noise. I kept listening and searching everywhere, and by the time I step foot into the kitchen, there was something missing from there, if I remember correctly, there was supposed
It was a warm Summer night in July, when i finally laid my head on my pillow after a relaxing day. I had began to get used to my days being this peaceful. Usually i would be all wound up, worrying about the damage my next door neighbors son is causing. The little boy’s name is Red Chief, or should i say little monster because that’s what he acts like. As i laid in bed i thought that maybe i should mow my grass in the morning. I had just bought a new riding lawn mower, and i wanted to test it out. I would be able to do that now without Red Chief being in my way. So the next morning, i got up just as the sun rose to start my day. I continued my way to my garage where my new mower was so that i could mow the grass. As i approached the doors i
On a Tuesday night of my sophomore year, two weeks before the state tournament, we played Heritage Hills. On the mound, battling for every out, I attempted to keep the game tied. The count was two and one with two outs in the bottom of the fourth. I stepped up, wound up, and pitched the ball for the fiftieth time. Except this time the ball came flying right back towards me.
When I was playing baseball for 2015 for little league. When I was up to I hit the ball to the fences and then I made it to 3erd bases on time before the players even got the ball and I could of made it to home plate but then they said to stay there so then I did. Then when I was
“My! what a rain? It’s good two years sence it rain’ like that.” Exclaimed Calixta as she rolled up a piece of bagging and Alcee helped her to thrust it beneath the cracks.” The author showed us how the storm became a positive thing by bringing the two lovers together after a long period. Due to heavy downpour, fate brought Alcee into the home of Calixta, where the two lovers re-ignited their feelings for each other. It also acted as a barrier by keeping Bobinot and Bibi away from home. This reminded me of “The Story Of an Hour”, where the death of Mr. Mallard gave Ms. Mallard a spirit of freedom she had never experienced. Instead of being sad, Ms. Mallard continued to say the words, “Free, free, free!”
However it is not the high tech gadgets that appeal to audiences of Red Storm Rising. There is a personable feel as the reader becomes better acquainted with the characters and sympathizes for them and the decisions they make. This is not the story of machines run by artificial intelligence, these are real people, friends, and neighbors of the reader. “Bob Toland was a middle-level analyst at the National Security Agency. He'd left the Navy after six years whey the adventure of uniformed service had palled, but he remained an active reservist. His work at NSA dovetailed nicely with his naval reserve service. That morning I woke up on the second week of summer, ready for my championship baseball game against Portsmouth. Our U11 all star team sat in second place in the tournament going into the championship against the number one seed Portsmouth Eagles. The whole day leading to the game, all I could think about was the game, not even the amazing apple pie my mom made because my sister begged for it.
Lord #1: Yes. We called you here to discuss a matter of grave importance. You see, duelist 1206, also known as Reyson Storm, has left our organization on some sort of self-imposed retirement, saying he was not going to work with us anymore. This foolishness has gone on for long enough, and our frackers have finally found him in Wubitan. Bring him back to us, would you? We have big plans and preparations to make, and we need him back.
Finally the time was here to play some Baseball. No one had seen how fast the pitcher pitched the ball because I was the only one at practice. Anyway I was the second one who was going up to bat but my team was in the field first so I kinda got some time to see how they play. But we had a really good pitcher so it was 1, 2, 3, strikes it was time for us to bat.
With the game tied 6-6 that is when I went into my own little zone and was in my moment. The crowed was electrified and cheering us on. I thought about all the hard work the coaches put us through doing two a days and keeping us late after a hard practice, spending all of that time and hard work just for this one little moment when the game was on the line. Back to reality our quarterback had started the play and it looked like it was going nowhere and we might have to got into overtime. Then after about 6 crazy seconds he threw the ball to our halfback and he broke a couple tackles and the somehow stretched across the goal line by about 2 inches and we had taken the lead 8-6 with 52 seconds to go. When the game clock hit 00:00 for the first time in our schools history the football team had beaten Aberdeen and none of us could believe it. This was a special moment.
