This summer I went to Maryland for the first time and met my family that is over there.
I have never met my family that live in Mexico and the ones that live in a different state. I have only met two or three people of my family in person and when i went over there i was excited to meet them. I loved going to Maryland because I like the city and it was fun.
When we were leaving to Maryland, I was sad to leave my dog but we had no choice. Our trip to Maryland was about 12 hours long but we took about 14 or 15 hours. We left at 3 in the afternoon, and we did get lost a few times but we had a GPs. We passed by Ohio and it was so long. We also passed by Columbus and it was beautiful. We passed by a lot of cities. When we were in West Virginia my dad almost ran over a drunk man and he even looked to see if there were any cars but he just walked! The ride was so long but my brother and I couldn't sleep, all 4 of us pulled an all nighter.

When i was over there I was thinking that i didn't like the city and that i won't get used to it in the week that I was going to be there for. I got my meet my aunt and my cousins and i was a little bit shy when i was over there because I have never met them in person. My family and I were exhausted from that car ride that we slept a little when we got there. I was also grumpy because if I don't get my sleep I get grumpy. But I did sleep enough to have
When I turned 5 my mom took me on a trip to someplace strange, I didn’t really know where I was going all I knew was I’d finally get to meet my dad. So after about a week long trip I arrived in Laredo Texas, where we stayed for a week or so before we were driven to Austin. My life completely
The cultural events in a person's life shape them into the person they are today. Throughout a person's life they experience events that change them culturally. These events can be either positive or negative. I went through a cultural experience when I went from Maine to Maryland.
In the summer of June 2014,I woke up at 4:30 Thursday morning and got ready, packed our suit cases in the trunk of my car. Then I woke up my 4 daughters and they got ready really quick. Funny how for school they drag to get up from their bed and get dressed. But that day they didn't even hesitate to get up because they knew we were on vacation. Me and my girls were really excited to take our first road trip to the beautiful beach of South Padre Island . Of course it is gonna be a long drive but we were excited because we will be sight seeing and singing along to the radio. My family lives about 35 minutes from the beach, in a little town not to far. So when we all got in the car ,I drove to a gas station to fill up my car with gas for our trip and to grab a strong cup of coffee with hazelnut creamers.
After I got through the struggle of packing a bunch of randomness it was time for the tedious car ride. I slept half the way there and looked out the window at all the new roads and landmarks. We drove for seven hours, but then decided to stop and get some rest in buffalo minnesota.
Well the week of our trip to Memphis Tennessee had finally arrived ! My colleagues Beverly,
In recent days I had the opportunity to go back to North Carolina for a few short days. There, with a heavy heart from a loss in the family, I had nothing else to look towards. I’ve always heard of individuals finding peace, faith, blessings, and love of Christ from attending church. I’ve never been a person who put their faith into a higher power. As I was growing up my parents never wanted to force me into any religion without me knowing everything about it and choosing which route to take on my own. As the years treaded on, I never bothered myself to learn about the many different religions and what each stands for. So I used this opportunity as mine to attend church for the very first time. I attended the Roman Catholic services held
The only state I have ever known as home is North Carolina. I was born and raised in Charlotte and the only time I have ever moved away was last year to start a new chapter of my life as a college student. Growing up in Charlotte has had such an impact on what I plan to do with my future. As a young child I always thought of Charlotte as the next best thing to New York City. I shortly realized after visiting that was not quite the case. New York City introduced me to a new world of opportunity.
If I could go back in time and relive a particularly difficult moment in my life, I will work part-time in the weekend in high school. I want to save my money. I want to travel other state. I also want to see my childhood friends. I wish I spend more time to have fun with my friends when I was young. When I first came here I went to school and I didn't how many class I have to take the class and to pass the MACS. I spent one more year to get my diploma. I wish if I know all this I will take class that require. I will go to Middlesex Community College early to practice the MACS because they have MACS class. After I going Middlesex Community College I pass the MACS. It is very helpful to go there. I learned a lot of MACS how to answer the open
We never drove farther west than Iowa. Going to Wyoming was something my brothers and I were looking forward too. Talking about all the activities we will be doing and places we will be stopping at made us more excited. It got me wishing we were going that day, but I knew we had to wait a couple a weeks. Waiting was the worst part of the trip. I could not focus on anything besides getting ready for the trip. As those long weeks came by we finally were packed to go. It was 4 a.m. and my parents were packing the car and telling us to bring everything out. We decided to take the minivan, so there was plenty of space. My older brother always got the back seats to himself so he had his bags back there with him. My
One year ago this morning on April 11/2016 I arrived to Charlotte, North Carolina after four day trip on Amtrack train. From San Jose, California to Charlotte, North Carolina.
We left after my parents got off work one night. Our camper was all packed and we were ready to set off on our journey to New Mexico. Before we got to New Mexico we had to make a stop at my dad's cousin's hose to get the jet ski and then we were on our way to Ute Lake. We finally got there late that night.
Driving into town was like entering an entirely new world that was almost completely out of my imagination. Never had I seen so many genuine smiles in one area. Not only was the temperature much cooler than what I am used to, but the atmosphere of being by the beach and inhaling the humid, salty air made me feel at peace. Many people appeared to be very active in their
I remember about a year ago, going to Washington state with my family. I remember as soon as the plane landed, the cool and fresh air that was blowing. I remember looking all around me and seeing mountains and forests all around me, I absolutely loved it. I remember the day that we went on the trails through Mt. Rainer and being surrounded by nothing but rock and forest. The view was like nothing I have ever seen before, I remember looking down from a ledge in the forest and thinking how amazing it was. It was amazing being there at such a high altitude and just having fun walking through the woods. I remember finding a creek near a bridge and going into it, I still remember the cold water hitting my skin and the breeze passing by. Growing
The next day we wanted to head out early so we could make it to Colorado and have time to see some sites and visit my aunt and uncle. After we said thanks for letting us stay with my Aunt Alks and Uncle Pinakin's house, we were on our way. I wasn't really looking forward to the drive ahead because I remember how long it was the first time I had to make the trip, and it gets uncomfortable. The only thing I like when we go to Colorado is that we lose an hour. This was probably the most boring trip on our journey because most of the land we traveled was in Nebraska and it was flat and plain. There was nothing really significant about this trip until we got to Colorado. Flat land changed into mountains and country turned into city. That part of it was really interesting because it was like we could see the invisible line separating Colorado and Nebraska. It took us a little while to find my aunt in Golden, Colorado because the directions were a little hard to follow. I guess no one wanted to see anything because almost as soon as we were
My dad was in the air force so he and my mom moved around a lot. That’s why we were born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. My dad was born in Newark,Ohio and my mom was born in a small country called Lithuania in Europe. Because of this we travel frequently to Lithuania to visit family. Our first trip was when we were three and my sister one.Sadly because of this we only get to see them one to three years. We would go on three airplanes all adding up to 12 hours of flying.
