My summer has been pretty great! I have been mostly helping out my mom in her garden, she has like a million roses that she grew her self and we grow blueberries, raspberries, red current, goose berries, black berries, tomatoes, cucumbers, and pears. If im not helping out around the house im either hanging out with friends or practicing. I practice 5 hours a day if I can. I practice by stretching 30 mins then 2 hours of soccer, then 1 hour of muscle building exercises, but after that I have to practice sprints, 100 meters, 200 meters and 400 meters 20 times each.
“I sat down next to my brother, Dan, on the couch and got on my laptop. He started to look at my laptop and asked what I was doing with a smirk on his face. It was obvious that he knew what I was doing so I ignored him. My homework was to type a 5 paragraph essay on what we did over the summer. As I began to write, my laptop started to glitch. It kept happening over and over as I continued to type.
The three things I learned this summer was that I just have to read every once In a while and I understand stuff. Reading this summer has improved a lot in my opinion. I can follow along with the professional reader when he reads and I can follow along with my pen when Mcgee reads, so that has improved since the school year. Also that our teacher can talk about things and actually make you think a little bit. Just when he does the little kindergarten impressions, he makes a really good point. He makes you think in depth which I think is a good thing.
It started as typical Tuesday with a couple of court hearings, maybe an arrest, but nothing to exciting. That all changed at dawn.
I first worked for Summer at Saints last year, as a volunteer unsure of what this experience would entail. Between the first drop-off and the final pick-up, I was quickly impressed, and to some extent intimidated, by its ability to transform. The timid became unafraid, the wild became calm and the rancorous became kind. The experiences of being a volunteer, and seeing these children mature, even in the smallest ways, has been the most rewarding experience at Summer at Saints.
Week one has passed by quickly! I think this week was very successful and I can say that I have learned many new things. This week has been an experience for me learning things about the business world. I am not a business major so I was not expecting to take these classes. I was assigned them, but have found them very beneficial. As I read through the first couple of chapters I read things I had heard before. This was a good thing that I could put the information with the terms I had heard previously.
August 15th was so memorable for me because it was the day I gave my daughter up for adoption. It was one long and hard process for me to go through, but I knew it was for the best. I needed someone who could give my child the stability and maturity that I knew I couldn't provide at the time. It took me a few weeks, but out of the 5 couples I interviewed, I finally decided to go with a couple named Glen and Lisa to be the proud parents of my baby girl. They had been trying to concieve for the last 8 and a half years, but none of the available treatments seemed to work for them. I chose Glen and Lisa because they had this upbeat energy about them. They were always smiling and being positive, even when the worse situations occured. They were also very well respected throughout their community, and didn't hesitate to help out at shelters, donate anything and everything they could get their hands on, and even volunteer at the community center after school to help kids with their studies. They are inspirational people if
A summer of 1974.My friend Randy and I were playing hide and seek in the woods, then I heard a strange noise it sounded like a saw chopping something.Later that night we left to the cabin so I told Randy about the noise I heard he told me ‘’Let’s go explore the noise you heard.’’Ok’’I said. When we were walking we saw a light in the distance.
I have been a Spring isd student since 2008. The schools I have attended are, Northgate Crossing Elementary, Twin Creaks Middle School, and now Spring High School. Over the course of these eight years I have learned and observed a variety of ways students upset teachers, specifically English teachers. If you are looking for ways to upset your English teacher, you have come to the right place.
My spring project was at YMCA. At the YMCA, I was doing different physical activities with children and adults. The first activity that my team and I did was parachute. I have never play parachute and it was very new to me. When the event start, my team and I started to play with parachute by ourselves so we can get used to it and thinking different ways to use the parachute for the children to have fun. At first, there were not many children coming around, so my team and I advertised it by playing around with it and smiling which led children to be interested in the activity. The parachute activity went really well. Adults were able to participate with their children in the activity and they were having fun and enjoying themselves. Another
It's been a very busy summer so far. At the end of July, we returned from 23 days in Germany and Scotland.
I am going to tell you a little bit of what I did this summer. School just got out and the real work begun, I started work on the first day of summer. I also played in a golf league in Gregory this summer with my dad.
What did you learn over the summer? Everybody has something that they enjoyed learning during summer school. Maybe what one person enjoyed learning another did not. It is ok for people to enjoy learning completely different things. There are many different things that were taught during the summer like lessons on life, how to write essays, how to take notes properly, and many more things. These are my favorite things I learned this summer and this is why.
The intent is to have a no latter date of Sept 1 and move over during the day of August. I have not establish a specific date but my target window was around the middle of August. This has already been socialized with the MCCOG command and the monitor but I need to make sure the new execution dates will not affect your operational needs. I know CWO Paquette will stay in place a little longer too but I do not have visibility of his dates so I do not know if there would be a gap on coverage with this order modification. The monitor is standing by for your response in order to execute the change. Thank you and I apologize for any inconvenience.
When you’re a teen you tend to make irrational and in the moment decisions, especially during summer vacation, tonight happened to be one of those nights. Take it back a week prior, I was texting my boyfriend Connor and he had brought up the idea that we could sneak out together. I brushed off the idea thinking it was insane and that I could never disobey my parents, but it started to grow on me a little. Now don't get me wrong, I’m generally a good kid that doesn't like to bend the rules, but I figured “it's summer, live a little”. So we put the plan into place and started thinking about what we would do and how I would sneak out. We decided to have my best friend skyelar sleep over at my house and be my lookout for when I came back in.
“Yay it’s friday!” I said to my mom as I walked down the stairs. “I hope it snows today.”
