Hailey’s Misery Beginning: Hailey(12) signed up for the Gymnastics team 6 months ago. Today when I went to P.E, the coach said that I will be doing a floor routine, so I practiced and practiced and could not get it. Later that day, at school, Hailey was walking through the hallways with her best friend Monica(12). “Hi Hailey how was your weekend?” said, Monica. “It was good and yours?”. During class, A’lisha and her friends was talking about gymnastics. Hailey was thinking about how she could not land her floor routine. Later, when class was about to start Hailey and Monica was talking to the coach for a moment and Hailey ask coach can she help her practice and he said “yes” and they went to class. After class ended, Hailey went to go practice, but still could not do it and she tried harder every time. Later at home, Hailey asked her parents may they please take her to the gym? they said later. It wasn’t like any other swim practice, no, not like any other I’d ever gone to. No one usually moved to Minot, North Dakota that was also in swimming, so when Emily Pitcher and her family moved to town and came to practice, it was quite a shock for everyone on the team. She moved from Colorado and she had 2 younger brothers and a younger sister as well. They seemed nice enough but there was something about Emily, who was my age, which seemed a bit off.
"If my men are too scared to return without Hannah Curtis, I will happily let Miss Curtis kill them. There is no room for cowardice in these ranks, boys. I, however, am no coward and an honorable warrior will let me go free back to my Queen." The Commander sounds disgusted as he raises his voice to address me, assuming I'm somewhere near him. Which is true, obviously, yet he can't be sure.
When I was six I wanted to be Hannah Montanna. When I was 12 I still dreamed of becoming a pop-star, but figured I could have a second job too – just in case. I’m seventeen now and I’ve have read Maya Angalou and Ralph Waldo Emerson; I’ve studied American history, marvled at astounding scientific discoveries, and cheered for political revolutions. I've traveled to different states and analyzed geological features for the aesthetic beauty and for the geological history. I've done many things, the logical step here would be then for me to pick; speak or forever hold my peace, but in all honesty, I don't know what I want to be. My six-year old self would say it's because I've seen too much, I think it's because I haven't seen enough. I want to
I have had many great mentors that have stood out in my life thus far, but I have one lady that really stands out. Her name is Tina; I know her better as Ms. Hicks. She is a kindergarten teacher and Glee Club director at the middle school I attended. I came to know her really well when I joined the Glee Club my sixth grade year. She is so selfless and always puts others before herself. I just began watching her one day and realized that I wanted to be just like her. I began to volunteer in her classroom the last period of the day because I want to be an elementary school teacher as well. I decided why not learn form the best. Throughout the year, I learned so much from her. She taught me that students can learn and have fun while they
Close to the town of Clanton, Mississippi a young lady named Tonya Hailey is severely assaulted, beaten, and left for dead by two men. The attackers are caught in a roadside bar where they have been gloating about their adventures. At the point when the men show up in court days after the fact, Tonya's dad Carl blasts out of the courthouse storm cellar and executes them with a assault rifle. Carl trusts his life to only one man a nearby criminal lawyer Jake Brigance, who longs for well-known cases, features, and the big time. Jake is going to face the battle of his life, and he knows it. He is up against Rufus Buckley an extreme, driven lead prosecutor who understands that a homicide conviction could help him increase higher office; however,
On April 26th,1999 I emerged into the world a happy baby given the name Bethany Gavin. I’m now in year 12 and I attend Cooks Hill Campus, Big Picture. My education began here in year 10 after leaving three years of home schooling and have grown as a student as the years have gone on.
This is a letter in support of Sally Robertson, a very talented teacher with whom I have had the pleasure of working as her student and her colleague over the course of many years at Georgia Perimeter College.
“Thank you. It scares me to think I might be going to jail. I can’t be in there with those dirty people,” Louise said, hugging herself ready to cry.
Patience is wearing thin , the shocking moment is almost here. Then a miracle happens! A beautiful brown eyed baby is born into this world.
Who is Katelyn Ballard? Katelyn is a student, a sister, and most definitely, a pet lover. I am a senior at Franklin County and have lived here since May 30, 1998, which is my birthday. I plan on entering Motlow’s nursing program then furthering my education at MTSU to become a nurse practitioner. Taking care of people has always been an instinct of mine, so a job in the medical field is ideal for me. I enjoy writing
It was a dark and stormy night, when Annabelle Heinsdorff was born by a water stream, 5 years ago. Her mother May ran ,she knew someone was watching her somehow. It was unacceptable, in her town. Annabelle never knew her parents, she wanted to meet them, but never knew how to get out of the house without passing by Madam. Madam Hailey always sat in her chair in the lounging area, with Fluffy ,her cat, in her lap. As Annabelle headed to school, in a place near Salem where the teachers were bile, she grab a piece of parchment and wrote a letter to her father, hoping would someday get.
“Now I gotta pee,” I mutter in disgust. Slipping from my sleeping bag I am about to unzip the tent when I hear the sounds of the can line. Something has broken through the parameter.
Katie Smith was at home when she received a call from Baileys school. They told me that Bailey passed out in class. They asked me if I wanted Bailey to go to the hospital. And I said, “Yes!”
My heart was pounding in my ears and a part of my mind wondered if everyone else could hear it in the dead silence of the ballroom. I stood in the middle of the stage with every light beaming down and every eye in the room was on me as I stood in the top two on the Miss Teen USA stage. I was sure the cameras were catching everything. All of my hard work and dedication were paying off in this moment. I stood there clutching Miss California Teen’s hand as she tightly clutched mine. I had dreamed about this moment, like so many little girls but I never expected it to really happen. Strangely, I had more sense of peace than nervousness or fear. I knew my life was about to change. My heart dropped as the emcees screamed my name as the winner. The beautiful crown was placed on my head, warm tears ran
I am a very interesting child. As you may know, it is a rare occasion that I leave my room and let alone my house. You may think I am forced to stay inside, this is partly true, but actually, it is my decision; I want to stay inside. Well, I guess when I was younger I got into some trouble at school and my father forced me to stay inside but that was long ago. I just find that the outside world is very unfair and in many ways corrupt. Staying in my room gets pretty boring sometimes but I get to see what I want with the bonus of not being involved in the unfair society.
